At the end of the first round, Zayne was the winner since the only thing he lost was a basket of supplies from Old Man Jafa, but he did not receive any serious wounds, unlike Three-Eyed. The monster had to use his trump card to keep fighting as his whole body was covered in blood.

'Damn... Those wings look powerful, I wish I had a skill like that, though maybe I'm asking too much, I'm lucky I met Gael, otherwise, I'd be dead already.' Zayne inwardly muttered as he looked at his weapon. Zayne realized that he was only able to destroy Three-Eyed's energy blade because of his first skill.

Zayne shook his head, spat a clot of blood on the ground, and prepared for battle. Though he had no trump cards as opposed to Three-Eyed's, he wasn't about to give up.

"Where did this guy get so much power?" Harald muttered with a dazed look, "I'm not sure I could fight as good, though I'm obviously much more experienced and stronger physically, so how is it possible...?"

Harald's question didn't go unanswered as a deep voice sounded tortured with eerie pain, "It's simple, this guy has a special mindset about fighting, his own unique way."

"Roland?" Harald turned around as he stared at the commander's dark face, but his eyes gradually lit up again, "Are you okay...? I mean, what happened is terrible."

"It's not about me right now. I can't change the past, so the only thing I can do is accept this tragedy and make sure it never happens again." Roland said seriously as his gaze turned to Zayne, "He's quite smart, but more importantly, I'm sure he has a natural talent for fighting. Together with his attitude, that could make this a great warrior, in the future."

Harald nodded with a gulp as he turned to Zayne, who had already made his move, running at the monster.

'I don't know what he's capable of now, but the best way to find out is to attack.' Zayne said to himself, staring intently at the monster.

Three-Eyed didn't want to let Zayne near him anymore, so he attacked again from afar, flapping his wings.

Whooooooooooooosh.

From his wings came hundreds of thorns that flew out like a hail of blades toward Zayne. The thorns were small, but they were enough to make a lot of holes in Zayne.

'Shit! There's too many of them, I won't have time to jump aside!' Zayne exclaimed inwardly as his pupils narrowed, 'Wait... he's shooting straight at me, right? Then I can do this!'

Instead of trying to run out of range, Zayne decided to fall, he just lay on the ground as fast as he could, protecting his head with his hands.

The thorns flew over Zayne as a few hurt him, leaving scratches on his palms, but that was the most Three-Eyed could achieve.

"See?" Roland said without taking his eyes off Zayne, "Neither you nor I could have made that decision so quickly. He's not afraid at all and only thinks about how to win, so his mind finds the best solutions as fast as it can."

"ROOOOOOOAAAAAAARRRRR!!!" Three-Eyed roared furiously, staring at Zayne with a piercing stare as if he could burn him to the ground with it.

"Hahaha, don't like that you're failing at something? Well, welcome to my world." Zayne chuckled, getting to his feet and kicking the dust off, "What's next? Don't you think you have too many skills? That's pretty unfair against someone like me, isn't it?"

Three-Eyed didn't want to hear him, he wished to tear him apart, so after a brief roar, Three-Eyed began to swing his arms sharply, launching a multitude of energy blades at Zayne.

Zayne's eyes went wide as he jumped aside, dodging most of the blades, but some he had to destroy with his weapon.

'Shit! There are too many of them! Does he have infinite mana?! I gotta make him stop doing that!' Zayne inwardly spoke, glanced at his cracked blade from the load, and ran forward.

Three-Eyed was in a rage, so he realized too late that Zayne was already in front of him, aiming for his neck.

"Get it!" Zayne exclaimed leaving a deep cut on the monster's neck, if Three-Eyed hadn't reacted by stepping back at the last moment, this attack would have been deadly.

"ROOOOAAAAAARRRRR!!!" Three-Eyed roared furiously again as his saliva mixed with blood hit Zayne's face, whose gaze didn't change at all, as if it didn't matter how furious Three-Eyed was.

Whooooooooooooosh.

Zayne and Three-Eyed began to attack each other quickly, trying to inflict as many wounds as possible, but ironically none of their attacks reached their goal since they blocked all attacks.

'I see, I can reflect it!' Zayne's pupils narrowed as his gaze went to the crystal blade coming from the right. Zayne could have had time to defend, but for some reason, his hands didn't move, he just realized too late that they were numb from such an intense exchange of strikes.

"ARGH!!!" Zayne cried out in pain as the crystal blade left a deep cut on his chest from which a stream of blood gushed out.

"Roooaaaarrrr!!!" Three-Eyed took his chance to win and pounced on Zayne dropping him to the ground.

Zayne was pressed down by the monster's massive torso, but he didn't care about that at all since blood trickled down his arm from the blade that had fully entered the monster's chest.

"Shit... Your bones are very tough, you're lucky." Zayne said with a slight smile, trying unsuccessfully to reach the monster's heart with the blade, but it was impossible.

Crackle. Crackle. Crackle.

Three-Eyed's sharp claws dug into Zayne's chest, gradually passing deeper, aiming to reach his heart, until at one point he stopped because of Zayne's action.

Zayne put his palm to the monster's cheek and with a calm look muttered, "Why did you stop? Are you surprised? No, you're scared... yeah, I get that already, that's why it's a failure. You're not like the others, yet you're also afraid. Don't worry it will be over soon."

Zayne let go of the hilt of his blade as a white coin appeared in his hand with the mark of an azure sword covered in two streams of water.

"I actually have some trump card, though you already figured that out." Zayne whispered as the coin in his hand glowed brightly, dissolving into blue particles.

At the same moment, a huge stalactite cracked and fell down, piercing Three-Eyed and Zayne, making a wide hole half a meter in diameter in their bodies.

Zayne's mouth bled as he looked at the disappearing Three-Eyed, then, he himself turned into ash particles meeting his first death. At the last moment, he saw a multitude of messages appear before him as well as something red, like a cube of flame.
