This is because a group of people felt that the IPSC was becoming more and more commercialized and more and more divorced from real actual shooting, so another shooting association was formed. However, many years have passed. IPDA is also becoming more and more commercialized. It can only be said that it is a little closer to actual combat than IPSC.

It should be mentioned here that the IPSC competition is divided into three categories, namely short gun, long gun and shotgun. Shotgun, and Gao Guang is going to compete for SIG Sauer. Needless to say, the competition must be a short gun competition.

The short gun category is also divided into eight groups, namely open group, standard group, classic group, original factory group, rotating group, small-caliber pistol open group, small-caliber pistol standard group, and factory gun optical sight group.

There are too many rules for IPSC shooting, but there are three main scoring rules for practical shooting, namely accuracy, firepower and speed.

It is different from the shooting competition in the Olympics. The shooting competition in the Olympics is to stand still and try to hit the bullet as accurately as possible. The higher the number of hits, the better.

IPSC pistol shooting is not about how many rings are shot, it is shot while running. It also requires that there must be two bullet holes on a target paper, and the distance between the two bullet holes is smaller. If you can shoot it, If the two bullet holes overlap, that's perfect.

Then speed is also very important, because you have to run and hit all the targets quickly. The shorter the time, the higher the score.
