First Demonic Dragon

510 A Place to Call Home

Abaddon finally woke up around a day later at noon.

He probably would have slept longer, as dragons and long naps go hand in hand, but at a certain point he became unable to ignore the weight on his chest.

Currently, each of his hands were being held by Valerie and Eris, respectively.

Audrina was lying on top of his body with a rather weary look on her face, even in her sleep.

Lailah was on top of his head, in the form of a small white snake.

She was cutely encircled around his horns and sleeping rather peacefully, just like the rest of them.

Or atleast, that was what he thought at first.

"Morning, darling."

Surprisingly, Valerie was already awake and staring at him lovingly like a newlywed.

There was movement on the other side of the bed and Eris lifted her head.

She was also awake, and as innocent and bright as a summer day.

"We weren't expecting you to sleep this long. Most of us woke up atleast once before you even got up at all."

As if they'd planned it beforehand, the two girls planted gentle kisses on both of his cheeks.

The dragon's tail wagged involuntarily underneath the covers.

He wasn't made of steel, who wouldn't want to wake up like this??

"Sorry, loves. I probably should have gotten up a bit sooner, but I was just so-"

"You don't have to explain anything to us. By far, watching you sleep without a care has been the most relaxing moment of our lives together so far." Eris said gently.

"She's right, although I must say that I missed doing this…"

Boldly, Valerie grabbed Abaddon by the face and kissed him on his lips; her affection compiling weeks worth of pent up need.

Several parts of Abaddon stiffened all at once, and the urges he had been trying to suppress came spilling back out into the forefront.

Their kiss increased in intensity, and Eris eventually pulled him away out of a mild sense of jealousy.

This display of loving back and forth continued on for several minutes until Audrina and Lailah both groaned audibly in their sleep.

"Seasick... everything turning..."

"S-Stop poking me... Need five more minutes..."

The three of them paused like kids who had been caught with their hand in cookie jars before failing to contain their laughter and giggling quietly.

Abaddon was slightly mesmerized by Valerie's pure, and innocent smile that was further enhanced by the sight of her without her glasses, and her raven hair being unrestrained.

'How could someone not want to protect this person..?' He thought.

Eventually, she seemed to notice that Abaddon was staring at her differently than usual.

She seemed to find it endearing by the way she ran her fingers through his hair afterwards.

"You'll make me shy if you keep staring at me like that, you know? I know I don't look my best this early, but-"

"My loves... Can we step outside for a moment?" Abaddon asked.

The girls noticed that Abaddon's tone was devoid of sexual innuendo, and they seemed to be caught off guard by this.

""Ah... sure?""

- 6 Minutes Later

Abaddon, Eris, and Valerie climbed onto the roof at the highest point of the tower and sat up there while he told them about everything that happened while they were asleep.

Needless to say, they all seemed to be more than a little bit taken aback by everything that they had heard.

They were visibly concerned to know that they were literally living on top of the source of their husband's insanity from his last life, and even more terrified to hear that some of the creatures from behind the door had been let out.

However, what floored them the absolute most was the fact that Valerie's real father had showed up, and was apparently some kind of divine being close to, or near, Asherah's level.

"S-So... where is he?" Valerie asked in a tone devoid of any emotion.

"..."

"...Babe?"

Abaddon turned his head into another direction and started whistling inconspicuously.

Valerie stared at him harder.

Eris pretended like she didn't know where this was going, and rubbed her temples in exhaustion.

Valerie grabbed Abaddon by the face and started to pull his cheeks like he normally did to others.

"Babe... what did you do?"

"Well... We had a conversation." Abaddon admitted.

Valerie did not believe it was as simple as that.

"How many times did you hit him during this 'conversation'?"

Abaddon felt like she may as well have asked him to count the number of scales on his tail.

But since she asked, he had to give an answer.

"Oh, y'know… just a couple."

"What'd his face look like when you were done?"

"Oh, y'know... he just had a black eye."

"Do you know that when you tell a lie, you usually say 'Oh, y'know' first?"

"Oh, y'kno- I mean,I don't think that's true."

Valerie increased her grip on Abaddon's face and he finally relented.

"Alright, alright... Truth be told, I snapped.

I couldn't stand to see him coming in here acting as if he had some sort of moronic claim to you when he has given you nothing, not even affection!

…He was half dead when I handed him back to Asherah… Vengeance was not mine to take but I did it anyway, and for that you have my apologies." He said sincerely.

Valerie starred at Abaddon for a long time, and he was having a hard time telling what she was thinking.

"Honestly… you're something else, you know that?" She sighed.

"I thought that was why you loved me?" Abaddon shrugged.

"Well… you're right about that at least." A smirk crept onto Valerie's face and she pressed her forehead against his own.

"…What's this for?" He asked in surprise.

"If I ever forget to tell you, I want you to know that I feel very lucky to have you." She said honestly.

"Funny… I feel the same."

It is a very warm and welcoming thing to have someone at your side who holds you on a pedestal.

To be with someone who takes even the most by minor inconveniences against you as great disrespect, is a privilege the likes of which one can scarcely articulate.

"So… I take it that you aren't upset with me for it?" Abaddon asked suspiciously.

"All you've ever done is try to defend each of us, and I know you were acting from that same protective place when you acted. How can I be mad at you for that?"

Internally, Abaddon felt very relieved.

"Sister, can I ask something?" Eris suddenly chirped up. "Do you have no interest in this man who calls himself your father?"

Unsurprisingly, Valerie shook her head as she crawled into Abaddon's lap.

"I have questions, sure, but am I eager for some warm reunion? No. We already have our family, and this…"

Valerie dragged her fingertips along Abaddon's exposed chest and licked her lips when he shuddered.

"…Is the ONLY man I'm going to call 'daddy'."

If Abaddons skin were just a couple of shades lighter, the girls would have been able to notice a full blush on his cheeks, and a dangerously erotic glint in his eyes.

Valerie seemed to get even more excited by this and she pushed her husband onto his back.

She started to pull off her flimsy shirt when Eris suddenly stopped her hand.

"Easy, little miss. We said that we were going to wait for everyone else to wake up, didn't we?"

Valerie facepalmed and hid her face out of embarrassment.

"Shit, right… I forgot."

Eris folded her arms in disbelief. "How could you forget when we just agreed on it 5 minutes ago?"

Without uncovering her face, Valerie pointed down at Abaddon's exposed upper body and the throbbing member lurking just beneath the surface of his sweatpants.

Eris wiped away the drool that had started to run down her chin without her knowledge.

"O-Okay, I get it."

"Right?"

At the same time, both women fell on top of Abaddon's chest with clear exhaustion on their faces.

""We need a good distraction.""

Abaddon smiled humorously as he took both women underneath his arms.

He stared up into the sky, completely content and feeling more than a little grateful to be alive.

But there was something missing.

'I want to see my kids…'

That single random thought spurred Abaddon's mind to realize exactly what he and the girls could be doing to pass the time.

"Since we have this whole realm to ourselves… I figured that we should get started on making this place a bit more inviting for our people, hm?"

A glimmer of light showed up in the eyes of both girls.

Since they were up first when they started this project, that meant that they had first crack at design ideas and got to implement them without the interference of the other wives.

Together, the two of them had watched over 1000 hours of 'HGTV' programming.

They were just waiting for a moment like this!

In an instant, the two of them pulled out blueprints and sketchbooks filled with their ideas and dreams.

As they flipped through it, they began to get Abaddon excited about their ideas as well.

They were going to turn this endless realm of darkness and despair into a literal paradise beyond comparison.

And he was more than a little excited for his precious children to lay eyes on it for the first time.
