From Beauxbatons to Hogwarts
Chapter 19: A Gift for Hagrid
Calvin wanted to find the mysterious Room of Requirement in the castle, and he set his target in the corridor on the right side of the fourth floor that was forbidden to Dumbledore. But unfortunately, there was only a stupid and ugly three-headed hellhound there.
Calvin left the fourth floor in disappointment and found the kitchen in the basement. He gently scratched the pears on the fruit plate and entered the kitchen. With a few words of "please" and "thank you", he got a few pieces from the house elf.
Beef pie and pumpkin sauce.
It seems I have to go see my old friends. Calvin thought to himself on the way back to the office.
The next afternoon, Calvin left the castle, walked through the greenhouse, and came to the cabin on the edge of the Forbidden Forest.
As soon as they got close, a majestic poodle bared its teeth and yelled at Calvin.
To Calvin, a dog was no different than an ant. He squatted down and scratched both sides of the big dog's neck, and the big dog lay down quietly and enjoyed Calvin's touch.
Soon, a burly half-giant with a cheeky face, disheveled hair, and a burly figure walked out of the hut.
"Ya Ya, are you okay?" Hagrid heard his big dog bark twice, and then the sound went silent, thinking that something had happened to it.
"Hagrid, your teeth are fine. He seems to like eating the dog food I made." Calvin stood up and walked towards Hagrid.
"Haha, Yaya, look who's here," Hagrid walked up and gave Calvin a hug, "Calvin, why did you only remember to see me two weeks after school started? Come in quickly." Hagrid took Calvin with him.
After entering the hut, Yaya followed them in and lay down by the fireplace.
"I'm a bit busy at school, sorry, Hagrid." Calvin said apologetically.
Calvin looked around the inside of the hut: "Hagrid, there is no change here from thirteen years ago. To be honest, this is the place I am most familiar with since I came back."
Hague pulled Calvin to sit down and handed him a cup of tea and a plate of rock biscuits.
After a brief reminiscing with Hagrid, Calvin took out a pumpkin-sized, silver, sparkling egg from his sleeve and placed it on the table. "A gift for you, Hagrid."
Hagrid's eyes were straight, his breathing was rapid, and he stammered: "Calvin, couldn't this be Thunderbird?"
"Yes, this is a ptarmigan egg," Calvin nodded lightly, "It was born from a pair of ptarmigans I raised. There are six in the nest, and its older brother and sister have hatched, leaving me in North America.
Released. I’ll give this to you.”
Hagrid carefully picked up the thunderbird egg from the table, as if he was handling some rare treasure. The flashing arc on the eggshell did no harm to the half-giant: "Let me think about it, thunderbird eggs, on rainy days, high
It’s humid... Ha, isn’t there a magical animal expert by my side?”
Calvin smiled: "Hagrid, you are right. The Thunderbird hatches out of its shell when there is a storm, so you need to place it in a high and humid place. But I suggest you raise the Thunderbird
Put it in the Forbidden Forest and don't let others find it."
"Thank you, thank you, Calvin." Hagrid picked up the handkerchief and wiped the corners of his eyes.
Calvin found something rubbing against his leg. He looked down and saw that it was Hagrid's silly dog Fang. So he took out another can of dog food from his sleeve, opened it and fed it.
"Fang!" Hagrid shouted angrily.
"It's okay, Hagrid," Calvin rubbed his big toothy head, "This is originally dog food I made for the three-headed dog. I will leave a little more for you, and you can give it to the dog food in the corridor on the right side of the fourth floor when the time comes.
Just feed it a little. By the way, Hagrid, I have to say that leaving the three-headed dog in the castle is a very dangerous move."
"Lu Wei?" Hagrid asked in surprise, "Have you met Lu Wei?"
"Oh, is it called Lu Wei?" Calvin took a bite of the rock cake and put it back on the plate with a calm expression. After so many years, Hagrid's cooking skills still have not improved.
"I just saw it last night." Calvin stared at Hagrid seriously, "You should put it in the Forbidden Forest. It is too dangerous in the castle, even if Principal Dumbledore does not allow students to enter there."
"Actually, it was Principal Dumbledore who borrowed Fluffy from me," Hagrid shrugged. "He wanted Fluffy to guard a treasure."
"Is it the Philosopher's Stone?" Calvin thought for a moment and said quickly.
"How do you know? You didn't tell anyone, did you?" Hagrid's eyes widened in surprise, and he whispered softly: "Principal Dumbledore, I didn't say this on my own initiative. Calvin guessed it himself.
.”
Calvin smiled helplessly: "Hagrid, I am a student of Nicolas Flamel."
At this moment, there was a knock on the door.
Calvin quickly took out a piece of black cloth and covered it with the thunderbird egg. Hagrid asked loudly: "Who is it?"
"It's me, Hagrid."
It's Harry.
Hagrid opened the door, and Harry and Ron squeezed into the hut.
"Hi, Hagrid."
"Hi, Harry, Ron. This is Professor Capet, my good friend." Hagrid introduced the two young wizards.
"Oh, Professor Capet, you are here too." Harry was a little embarrassed, as this reminded him of the scene where he was caught by Professor Capet last night.
"Hello, Harry and Ron." Calvin greeted the two of them.
"Hagrid, what were you talking about just now?" Harry asked, taking Hagrid's cup.
"It's just catching up with old friends." Hagrid said stiffly. Whether it was a thunderbird egg or a three-headed dog, Hagrid didn't want Harry to know.
"Let's talk about the three-headed dog on the right side of the fourth floor." Calvin said quickly. Harry and Ron quickly remembered the ugly creature they saw last night and couldn't help but shudder.
Hagrid was a little angry and placed the teapot heavily on the table: "Hey, Calvin, we can't tell the students about this."
"It's okay, Hagrid, they already know." Calvin sighed, winked at Hagrid, and signaled to Harry that they only knew this, "Harry and his friends went on a night out last night and were killed by Filch.
Found.
These people were so confused that they hid in the corridor on the right side of the fourth floor and tried to enter the room at the end. If I hadn't stopped them, they would have been eaten by Lu Wei."
"Really?" Hagrid put his hands on his hips and looked very angry. This reminded Ron of his mother's angry look, "Children, this is not good. I mean it is not right. You'd better listen to Principal Dumbledore.
If so, don't go to the corridor on the right side of the fourth floor, it's very dangerous and you will lose your life."
Harry and Ron lowered their heads, looking a little frustrated. They came today to ask about the whereabouts of the dirty little package in the underground vault of No. 713. But looking at Hagrid's angry look today, he would not answer them.
