From Beauxbatons to Hogwarts
Chapter 1 Three Letters
July 1991.
Place Furstenberg in the 6th arrondissement of Paris is a remote and hard-to-find corner that is rarely visited even during the peak tourist season.
However, a young man suddenly appeared in the center of the square. After quickly looking around to make sure there was no trace of Muggles, he coughed lightly. The roots of the surrounding trees rose from the ground, forming a birdcage around the young man. The elevator took him down.
Go underground.
When the tree roots disappeared, a middle-aged wizard, about 40 years old, with a tall build and a resolute expression, and a slicked back hair looked at the visitor and smiled.
"Mr. Capet!" The middle-aged wizard took the initiative to step forward and hold the young man's right hand. The young man was only in his twenties and had an outstanding appearance. His blood-red pupils made people look twice.
"Welcome to the French Ministry of Magic."
Calvin Cape showed a helpless smile and politely refused the middle-aged wizard's request for a hug: "Minister Roland, there is no need to welcome me like this. I just came to attend an investiture ceremony. You are blocking me like this.
It’s like I’m late.”
"How could it be?" Charles Rolland, the French Minister of Magic, patted Calvin's shoulder enthusiastically, "You are a great hero in our French magic world. Even if you are late, our investiture ceremony will be postponed.
That’s it.”
A large group of officials from the French Ministry of Magic, Aurors and reporters surrounded Calvin and walked into the auditorium. Charles Rolland personally told the young man his origins and heroic deeds, eloquently proving that awarding Calvin the French Medal of Valor was not only
It's Calvin's honor, and it's also the honor of the French Ministry of Magic.
After lengthy speeches and nonstop photos, the much-anticipated investiture ceremony finally came to an end. Charles Rolland invited Calvin to the minister's office for a cup of tea.
"Thank you so much this time, Calvin," Roland put a cup of tea in front of Calvin. "Without you, the riots at the Quidditch World Cup would have made France the laughing stock of the world."
Calvin smiled gently: "Minister Roland, it's just a trivial matter. If those mascots really caused a riot, I'm afraid my uncle will be the first to be dismissed by you."
Roland laughed loudly and successfully showed his shamelessness as a politician: "So, Calvin, are you really unwilling to come to work at the Ministry of Magic? Although you are only 25 years old, I swear, within three years, your uncle's
The Head of the Auror Office will be your subordinate. You will become the youngest Minister of Magic."
Calvin smiled: "Minister Roland, I have decided my own path."
Roland wanted to stay again and wanted to keep this young man with more benefits. But he found that he didn't have any leverage. In the end, he had to open his mouth and shook his head helplessly: "The recommendation letter you want, I
I've already written it and sent it to Dumbledore."
Calvin showed a victorious smile, stood up, and shook hands with Roland one last time. Roland came forward and hugged him tightly. This time Calvin did not refuse him.
"If you change your mind, come to me anytime."
"Thank you, Minister, if France needs me, I will definitely help you."
...
"A rare leisure time," Dumbledore thought to himself as he came out of his bedroom, walked into the office, sat at the table, opened the curtains and windows with a wave of his hand, and bright sunlight shone into the dark office.
"Damn it, Dumbledore, can't you open the window slowly and give my eyes some time to adjust?" cursed a portrait on the wall, it was Phoenix Black.
Before Dumbledore could open his mouth, a portrait quickly responded: "Only wizards like you like dark environments." The dispute between the two quickly escalated into a conflict, and they started beating each other in Phoenix's frame.
Dumbledore had no time to pay attention to the two deceased headmasters, and soon his desk was flooded with tons of letters brought by flocks of owls. Although most of the school's affairs were left to Minerva, she was really
He is a responsible and capable witch, but there are still many things that Dumbledore cannot let others do for him.
Dumbledore picked up each letter and began to read: a letter from the Minister of Magic Fudge, asking how to deal with signing a cooperation agreement with the United States Ministry of Magic.
Dumbledore gave some insignificant suggestions. He was not willing to interfere too much in the affairs of the Ministry of Magic. He was not greedy for power. Although the outside world called Fudge Albus Dumbledore because of his overly flattering behavior.
puppet.
Then there was a letter from the International Federation of Magic, asking when he would hold the next International Federation of Magicians.
In his reply, he suggested that the event be held in July next year, because as a principal, he would have more time to attend these sleepy meetings during the summer vacation.
The third letter came from Quirinus Quirrell, who was far away in Albania and agreed to accept Dumbledore's invitation to switch from Muggle Studies to teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts.
This letter made Dumbledore happy, and his silver beard trembled. He quickly wrote a reply, hoping that he would have a cup of tea at school as soon as possible and talk about the improvement in salary.
The fourth letter surprised Dumbledore. There were two golden crossed wands on the envelope, with three stars emerging from each wand.
This letter comes from Beauxbatons School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in France, and the sender is the principal, Madame Maxime.
"Is there something big going on?" Dumbledore thought to himself, and then opened the gorgeously wrapped letter.
Albus Dumbledore, Calvin Capet, an outstanding graduate of our school, lived in the UK since he was a child, and later came to our school to study due to some reasons. Now he is about to return to the UK. I hope you can provide him with a matching
Post.Thank you.
p.s Albus, you also know that Calvin is a very outstanding young wizard. Although I tried every means to persuade him to stay, I still refuse to stay at Beauxbatons. I hope you can get in touch with this genius in the world of magical animals. Of course
He is also an outstanding genius in alchemy, potion, and ancient magic. You must not miss him. His letter will arrive soon.
The fifth letter also came from France, and the sender was the French Minister of Magic, Charles Rolland. He also hoped that Dumbledore would provide a job to the young wizard named Calvin Capet.
If these two letters only surprised Dumbledore, then the sixth letter shocked Dumbledore. The sixth letter was still from France, and the sender was his close friend, the famous alchemist, Ni.
Colème Nicolème wrote in the letter that he hoped his good friend could provide his student, Calvin Capet, with a job at Hogwarts.
