In unison, they looked at each other and smiled.

Jack seemed a little shy and reserved, as if he wasn't good at interacting with strangers and didn't know how to continue. Anson took the lead in breaking the ice, pointing to the brochure in Jack's hand, "We're here for the same reason, obviously. Are you planning to study acting systematically?"

Jack followed Anson's gaze, glanced down, and waved the brochure. "Yes, I used to watch other people act and thought it was nothing special, just standing in front of the camera, saying lines and making expressions. I thought, what's so difficult about that? Only after I practiced it myself did I realize it wasn't that simple at all. That's when I realized how superficial and amateurish I was."

Jack's father was also a director, although not a famous one, but he had left many works in the film and television industry. Jack should have often watched filming on set, just like Anson, who worked in the crew—

Anson completely understood Jack's thoughts, his eyes lighting up. "Exactly! I used to think acting was purely talent, but after trying it myself, I realized that it still relies on talent."

Jack: …

He paused slightly, unable to react, and looked at Anson with some astonishment.

Anson shrugged lightly. "But besides talent, there are also methods. Only by truly understanding yourself and understanding the methods can you express yourself 100%. Acting isn't difficult, but it's not that simple either."

With a twist, Jack finally understood, and a smile crept onto his face.

Anson took the opportunity to ask, "So, what's the course setting here like?"

Jack flipped through the brochure. "Rich. Even a little too rich. I'm overwhelmed with choices. I heard that many actors with years of experience still come here to take advanced courses and continue learning acting methods."

Anson looked around the hall. "But I didn't see any photos. Usually, for publicity, shouldn't they list all their former students to create an advertising effect?"

The entire hall wasn't covered with headshots of top superstars as one might expect. It was clean, tidy, simple, and generous, with a Silicon Valley tech company feel. If it weren't for the slogan in the center, it wouldn't be out of place to say it was a robotics research center or a biotechnology research institute.

"Ha." Jack revealed a big smile, instantly becoming much more lively. "Right? I'm not the only one who thinks so, am I? Haha, I just asked the same question, and the receptionist told me they don't need publicity."

Anson raised his eyebrows slightly. "I just happened to be passing by, so I came in to take a look. I didn't expect it to be such an amazing academy."

Jack shrugged lightly, noncommittal. "The industry says it's one of the top acting academies," which is why he made a special trip, "The courses include drama, musicals, television, and film, etc. They also said that if needed, you can choose film production courses."

A little unexpected—

Not only comprehensive, but also extending to fields outside of acting.

Anson widened his eyes and said meaningfully, "They know how to make money."

Jack was stunned for a moment, then burst out laughing.

Anson: "Judging from this situation, either they are very powerful, very, very powerful; or they are a cult that specializes in fooling actors."

In Hollywood, there are quite a few of the latter.

Jack couldn't control himself any longer, and a hearty laugh burst from his throat, causing an uproar in the quiet hall.

Anson noticed the gaze cast from the direction of the front desk, as if probing their conversation. Anson didn't dodge, but gave the front desk a bright smile, his face full of composure, which made the front desk sheepishly withdraw their gaze.

Anson looked at Jack again. "But, aren't you going to try an audition?"

Jack: ?

Anson continued, "Relying solely on the printed font of a brochure to observe and scrutinize, you won't see anything substantial even if you spend ten days or half a month. After all, they're sure to boast about being the best in the world. Trust me, the essence of advertising is the same."

Jack nodded repeatedly in realization.

Anson: "So, in the end, you still have to experience it and use it yourself. Even supermarket food has samples, let alone acting classes?"

Obviously, Jack didn't know anything about this, revealing an interested expression. "Supermarket food can be sampled?"

This time, it was Anson's turn to be slightly stunned—

He wasn't sure.

In Asia, supermarket food sampling has become a common phenomenon, and there are even news stories about unemployed people going to supermarkets to rotate between different sampling stands to fill their stomachs; but thinking about it carefully, he doesn't seem to have seen it in Los Angeles yet. Is it really not there, or has he just not encountered it?

"They should." Anson replied frankly.

Jack nodded in agreement.

Anson raised his chin to indicate. "I'm going to try an audition, do you want to come with me?"

Jack also turned his head to look at the front desk following Anson's gaze. Before he could open his mouth, he saw the door of a practice room in the corridor open, and a bustling crowd of people, sweating profusely, cheeks flushed, and smiling, filed out. The surging crowd of different ages and skin colors was filled with a cheerful and joyful atmosphere, with exhaustion mixed with pleasure.

Coming towards them, at the front was a young and beautiful woman, wearing a loose T-shirt, with the lower half of her body seemingly missing, revealing beautiful abdominal muscle lines and a sports bra underneath, paired with denim shorts, youthful vitality and hot sweat rushing towards them.

The loose outfit easily made her stand out in the surging crowd. A bright and radiant smile was on her lips as she chatted happily with the surrounding classmates.

Upon closer observation, it could be noticed that all the people surrounding her were men, while the women lagged slightly behind, keeping a distance.

A series of cheerful laughter rushed towards them.

Getting a little closer, you could see Kate's bright eyes, naturally heterochromatic, with a blue left eye and an amber right eye, with a touch of exoticism, like a Barbie doll, exquisite everywhere.

—Surrounded by stars.

Such a scene in front of him filled Anson's eyes with novelty. He thought that this was all fabricated in movies, and how could there be such a dramatic scene in real life, but he didn't expect to see it with his own eyes.

Anson turned to look at Jack, preparing to remind him that they should make way so that the queen and her entourage could pass smoothly; but before he could open his mouth, he felt the bustling crowd overflow from the main road, squeezing him and Jack's original position.

"Ah…" Jack staggered and exclaimed.
