The performance is over.

It's hard to imagine that Michael and Mia haven't had a direct conversation until now, but the spark between the two characters has already overflowed.

"You are enjoying the performance of Hawaiian Pizza. We are now going to dig for pineapples. Thank you!"

A curtain call marked the end of the band's performance.

The screening room was slightly stunned. Only then did they finally realize that this was a garage band practice by middle school students, not a professional performance. It was purely for self-entertainment.

Haha.

A low laughter mixed with rustling discussions. This was obviously another accident. No one expected the first small climax since the beginning of the movie to appear here.

On the screen, Michael boldly walked towards Mia for the first time. Mia was a little shy and a little flustered. She could only turn around, throw her backpack into the car, and pretend to be looking at her beloved vehicle.

Seeing this, the corners of Michael's mouth turned up slightly. He gently knocked on the hood, as if knocking on a door, "Knock, knock."

A little childish, but a little exciting.

A melting sound surged again in the screening room.

Mia tilted her head slightly, glanced at Michael out of the corner of her eye, and then immediately continued to look at the vehicle, jokingly shifting the subject, "I never knew you guys had such a performance. Ned was almost wailing just now."

Michael glanced at Mia out of the corner of his eye, "We've always been afraid to perform publicly, for fear of being heard by the person involved."

Meaningful.

Mia's heart skipped a beat. She hurriedly looked up and quickly glanced at Michael, but worried about being discovered, she immediately retracted her gaze and held her breath.

Fortunately, the owner of the repair shop appeared, relieving the siege for the poor Mia and the restrained Michael. Hearing the greeting from the repair shop, Mia quickly raised her voice and deliberately asked very loudly, "Doctor, how is my baby?"

This was clearly a cover-up.

Michael glanced at Mia.

Mia didn't turn her head. It could be noticed that her neck was completely stiff, maintaining an awkward angle, staring unblinkingly at her vehicle, trying to divert her attention as much as possible.

The atmosphere was a little subtle.

The owner of the repair shop noticed it. He also glanced at Michael, revealing a knowing smile, but didn't say much. Instead, he looked at Mia and took a deep breath.

"Four hundred dollars."

Mia had recovered, but was directly distracted by this quote. She didn't support her body, and her right hand pressed the horn, and the vehicle made a harsh sound.

Honk!

Mia looked at the owner of the repair shop with a look of despair.

The owner of the repair shop shrugged lightly, "Yes, I know, showing off comes at a price, right?"

Mia let out a long breath, her shoulders drooping, and picked up her backpack again, her face full of disappointment, "Obviously, today is not my day."

Seeing this, Michael was a little anxious. He quickly glanced at Mia, and immediately looked at the owner of the repair shop, "I offer free labor."

Oh.

The entire Chief Theater screening room let out a cry of emotion, like cotton candy melting little by little in milk.

The owner of the repair shop looked at Michael with a look of disbelief.

Michael spread his hands, shrugged lightly, and met the questioning gaze with clear eyes, with a look of frankness.

Mia didn't notice this scene. She looked at her vehicle reluctantly, "Thank you, but I need to talk to Grandma. It should be fine. Anyway, see you later, I need to go somewhere now."

Waving her hand, Mia stepped on her electric scooter and left.

Michael's gaze followed Mia's departure, revealing a hint of reluctance.

The owner of the repair shop made a face, imitating Michael's voice, "Oh, I offer free labor? What, are you in love with her?"

A joke made Michael a little embarrassed. He quickly retracted his gaze, touched his nose, and tried to explain, "She is my sister's best friend."

But the owner of the repair shop didn't buy it, "Haha, that's the trickiest part. Friend? Or something closer than a friend?"

Michael shook his head repeatedly, ignoring the owner of the repair shop, but couldn't help but look again in the direction Mia left, even though he could no longer see Mia, he was still reluctant to leave while staring at the air.

So, what about Mia?

Mia came to the Genovian Consulate again and officially began her princess lessons.

Watching Mia learn princess lessons, watching the Queen try to transform the frizzy Mia, watching Mia embarrass herself in different ways at school and at the consulate.

Even simply falling off the chair.

In the screening room, laughter continued, from a smile to a laugh, from scattered chuckles to unanimous laughter. Watching a movie is really nothing more relaxing.

In summer, what audiences need are movies like this, movies that truly relax people.

And then.

Watching Mia's gorgeous transformation, in the hands of professional stylists, like a caterpillar breaking out of its cocoon into a butterfly, a turn transforms her into a colorful butterfly.

Heck!

The whole audience was amazed.

Although the audience in the screening room had already seen Anne Hathaway on the red carpet, it was ultimately different in the movie. Watching Mia's 180-degree transformation, the ugly duckling transforming into a swan, the sharp contrast of visual impact brought layers of ripples. Praise, sigh, and exclamation blurted out.

In an instant, a dream back to "Pretty Woman".

For ten years, the scene of Julia Roberts' gorgeous transformation in "Pretty Woman" has remained a classic and has become a reference object for countless movies.

And now, Anne Hathaway in "The Princess Diaries" is also completing her transformation in Garry Marshall's lens. The emotion and shock seem to have never changed.

Memory breaks the shackles of time and returns to Hollywood Boulevard.

But.

In the admiring eyes of others, Mia felt no joy, only unease and confusion. She didn't recognize the face in the mirror. Although she had always hoped that she could become beautiful and get rid of that frizzy hair, when it really happened, she almost didn't recognize herself.

Anxious and confused.

For Mia in adolescence, unease outweighed joy.

All of this happened too quickly and too fiercely.

Because of the change in appearance, she could feel more and more attention. Being exposed to sight all at once made her fall into deep unease, cautiously shrinking into her protective shell, trying to grasp the center of her life.

But obviously, this was not an easy thing.

Finally!

Because Lily was angry at Mia's alienation and strangeness, Mia shared her secret and revealed the burden that was heavily pressing on her heart.

Then, she agreed to appear on Lily's TV show, and agreed to go to Michael's band performance. In those changes and upheavals, there were still some things, some things, some friendships that had not changed in life, which allowed Mia to gain a little foothold in the chaos.

But she didn't expect that the life that hadn't had time to fully return to normal was disrupted again—

Someone leaked the news to the media, revealing that Mia was the princess of Genovia. Reporters who smelled the news flocked to the school, blocking it tightly.

Mia, who was as low-key as possible, finally stood under the spotlight.
