Game of Thrones: Lord of Winter

Chapter 134: Expectation

"Believe me, you will be rescued, Miss Stark." That sentence lingered in her ears for a long time.

He would not lie to me. Thinking of that handsome face, beautiful and gentle purple eyes, he was both elegant and brave. He announced the covenant with the North in front of the nobles of the Seven Kingdoms. He must be the white horse knight sent by the gods to save himself.

Sansa buried her head under the pillow, and his shadow was all in her mind.

"I don't want Highgarden, nor Willas Tyrell. Please ask the gods in heaven to let Lord Julius take me back to the North." The girl prayed in her heart.

The girl from Highgarden suggested that Sansa marry her brother Willas. Sansa didn't want to go to Highgarden. She wanted to go home and return to the North. She missed her father, mother, Bran, Rickon, and everyone.

The girl from the North even fantasized whether he would be like in the poem, like "Mirror Shield Savin" defeated the giant to rescue Princess Delisa and rescue her from this red cage.

Dong Dong Dong, the knock on the door of the pavilion rang.

"Miss Sansa!"

Sansa knew that the maid had come to deliver dinner, and she jumped up from the bed in joy.

She asked the maid to put the dinner plate on the table, lemon cake pie, roasted pigeon, a cup of hot red wine, pork bacon and garlic pork sausage, blackberry pudding, apples coated with honey, and soft and fragrant hot white bread.

"This is really rich." She hugged the maid happily and kissed her lightly on the cheek.

For dinner, she ate more cakes, pies and bread than usual, and it was delicious.

After drinking the glass of red wine, Sansa decided to lie down on the bed.

She tried to close her eyes, but all she could think of was him.

The girl opened her eyes again, but the figure kept echoing in her heart.

When will they meet again? She hoped that the sooner the better.

His voice was so gentle, although they only talked a few words.

Sansa didn't know when she fell asleep. It wasn't until the next morning when the sun shone into the attic that she woke up from her dream. This time it was no longer a bloody nightmare, nor a green flame.

She dreamed that she was wearing a beautiful wedding dress, in the weirwood forest of Winterfell, her father held her arm, Robb, Bran, Rickon, they stood under the tree and surrounded a silver back. He held a beautiful flower in his hand, with a faint smile on his face, and slowly turned around.

Her father gave her hand to him, and then they walked to the big weirwood together, knelt on the soft woolen stall, and recited the wedding vows together.

Under the witness of the gods, his purple-blue eyes looked at her softly, and then leaned down slightly.

She saw her brother and younger brother cheering for her, her mother covering her lips and crying, and her father with a smile on his face.

When the hot kiss was about to touch her face, she woke up from the dream.

She looked out the window. Will the prince charming come to save her today?

"Sansa, don't be too anxious. There are Lannisters and gold cloaks everywhere. He is alone, maybe with a few knights. He will come, he will definitely come." The girl from the North told herself.

"You have waited long enough. What's the harm in waiting a few more days? That monster has declared that he wants to marry a girl from Highgarden. You don't have to worry about giving birth to him. You are free as long as you return to the North." She persuaded in her heart.

But the waiting time is always so long. Why doesn't he come to visit her?

"Oh, stupid girl, there are Lannister's spies everywhere here. If he comes here, it would be too stupid. I should go out and take a walk." The wolf girl seemed to think of something.

Lannister did not prohibit her activities. She could walk freely in this castle, but there were some places she couldn't go, such as Maegor's Tower and the Prime Minister's Tower.

Maybe she could ask about the residence of Sir Julius.

No, this is too deliberate.

Sansa quickly put on her clothes, took off her pajamas, put on silk underwear first, and then put on a long skirt. Soon the girl realized that she should dress more beautifully.

She went to the closet where she kept her clothes and searched through the boxes and cabinets.

Finally, she stood in front of the bronze mirror with satisfaction, but when she thought of the handsome face, she suddenly felt a little inferior.

"Don't be afraid, Sansa. Even the queen has praised your beauty." She encouraged herself.

She quietly opened the door, and there was a Lannister guard at the door. They had already treated her as a prisoner.

"Good morning, sir." She greeted softly.

The guard glanced at her coldly and replied, "Good morning, lady. I wonder where you are going?"

"The king's wedding is coming soon, and I am going to the Godswood to pray for him, my lord." No wonder, she wished this monster would die sooner.

The guard nodded and let her go.

She walked out of the tower, bathed in the morning sunshine, birds were singing in the distance, a leaf fell, she gently caught it, the dew on it was like pearls sparkling.

She was walking in the corridors of the castle, occasionally coming and going servants, she always smiled and greeted them.

Sansa was approaching the courtyard unknowingly.

From a distance, she saw the flaming white bird flag fluttering in front of the courtyard, and her heart suddenly became nervous, he must be there.

Sansa did not go up rashly.

Although she seemed to be aimless, her eyes were always on the door, hoping that his figure would appear there.

Sansa passed by several times, and once even looked into the gate.

No, she did not see him.

She walked over again in disappointment.

Suddenly there was laughter, and she looked far away.

The figure she had been thinking about finally appeared.

The laughter was not his, but a girl's.

She was wearing an emerald green dress, brown curly hair, and a cloak decorated with autumn flowers.

She stood beside him, looking so well matched.

Why did the girl from Highgarden appear here? Sansa felt a tremor in her heart and wanted to get away as soon as possible, but she couldn't help wanting to hear what they were talking about.

She quickened her pace and felt that her tears were about to fall.

How much she wanted to see him.

Her long skirt was tripped, and she screamed and fell to the ground.

No one came to help her, she held back her tears and ran back to her tower at a fast speed.

She touched her scraped knees, and tears kept falling down.

Another day passed, and she had a nightmare. She once again dreamed that Joffrey had someone beat her, and her knight did not appear.

In the morning, the maids suddenly rushed into her room and took her to the bathroom.

They said her new clothes were ready.

The maids poured hot water into the tub filled with flower petals, and they took off her clothes and washed her from head to toe until she was red.

They trimmed her nails and hair, which was made into soft curls and hung on her shoulders, and dripped perfume on her body.
