A certain harem writer once said:

Authors who dare to write about this subject are generally better at characterization, but often weaker at plot design.

Recently I took some time to study Wanding articles with similar themes.

I found that the design and arrangement of plot rhythm is indeed my weakness.

Of course, you can actually focus on portraying the characters. The plot is mainly daily, focusing on describing various interactions and interactions between men and women.

To achieve the ultimate in this aspect is like practicing wild ball boxing to the tenth level. Of course, you can also reach the realm of a martial arts master (referring to Wan Ding). There are also such eccentric works in the starting point.

However, it is not what I want to be limited to the realm of "starting a family".

My goal is to write a book that contains both personal hard work (getting married) and a vast historical process (starting a career).

When the male protagonist finally achieves success, he naturally feels a great sense of accomplishment; even if he fails, he can at least run away with the girls, which also gives him a great sense of happiness.

However, the more I study hit books recently, the more I realize my own shortcomings.

The end of the book "Cang Qing" is a travelogue, and the end of the book "Girl" is about fitting the historical curve.

It is impossible to deduce it. Some people think it is unreasonable to follow the official history. The original plot will probably be criticized as a dog.

But the problem according to the historical curve is: it’s not exciting enough.

When the level is not enough in the early stage, you can only hang out among the nobles, slowly gain qualifications, and wait for upgrades... This kind of plot is reasonable, but it actually has serious problems in terms of enjoyment and rhythm.

If it were not for the active performances of Ah Zhi, Miss Wang, Qing Qing, Xiao Wangshu, Cui Xiaoniang, Teacher Li and Mama Pei, this book would have been sold out long ago.

However, if I were to travel back to early September 2020 and write this book "Girl" from scratch, the plot rhythm should have improved dramatically in the early stage, which can be regarded as a bonus from the experience of failure.

After Yunyun joins, the plot will enter the later stage, and Chanyang will start the Northern Expedition.

Considering that the strength of the northern monsters at this time is almost overwhelmingly superior to the strength of the southern humans, Zunyang's Northern Expedition is probably an epic level of difficulty in the Total War series.

The enemies blocking the road are all of the third level and up; they will destroy the heaven and the earth, and it is beyond the reach of manpower.

For the description of big scenes, I am actually not ready yet.

However, many things like writing cannot be prepared in advance; only when you reach that point can you know how to write next.

Looking back, if the plot is not well written, it is often due to "poor writing skills" rather than "lack of preparation".

However, only by repeatedly trying to write plots that "one cannot write well at this stage" can one continue to move forward.

Otherwise, it will stop.

So starting from the next volume, let's let Jiankang, the capital of the empire, be conquered like in history.

Next volume "Constrained Pulse".

"...Due to the wind and arson, all the temples and offices in Taiwan Province were wiped out for a while, and then they fell into the palace city, launched a large-scale plunder, and invaded the Sixth Palace. They were extremely violent and cruel. They drove hundreds of officials to serve, and Guang Luxun Wang Bin and others were beaten, forced to carry burdens up Jiangshan Mountain, and the ladies and gentlemen were stripped naked. They all covered themselves with broken mats and thatch. Those who had no grass sat on the ground and covered themselves with earth. The sound of wailing shook the inside and outside."
