God Killer: Star Weaver

Chapter 5 Shocking Change

Ling Chen opened his eyes and found himself in chaos.

There was no light or sound here, only an inexplicable attraction that made his consciousness continue to sink deeper into this endless nothingness.

Suddenly, the space began to distort, and the next second Ling Chen found himself standing in a deserted land. There were both bright stars and bottomless black holes in the sky.

He felt a power calling him, but it was hard to reach.

He tried to walk forward, but found that his steps were extremely heavy, and every step seemed to be fighting against some invisible force.

This power was both familiar and unfamiliar, filling him with both fear and desire.

As he moved forward, this power finally began to materialize.

"Wake up, Ling Chen..."

Suddenly, a gentle voice sounded in his ears.

A gust of sea breeze blew gently, and Ling Chen opened his eyes again. The light blue of his left eye seemed to be a little deeper.

"Ah...I can't move. Damn it. What's on that arrow?"

Ling Chen tried hard to raise his hand, but found that his limbs could not move at all. It was obvious that the effect of anesthesia had not worn off, and the arrow inserted in his arm had not yet been removed.

Fortunately, his eyes could still move, and Ling Chen found himself lying on the lifeboat, surrounded by his busy companions.

"I should have been on another ship. It seems I finally escaped!"

Ling Chen lay face up on the ground, looking at the starry sky above his head that was not blocked by the ceiling, and smiled stiffly. The storm has passed, and the stars are exceptionally bright.

Ling Chen's awakening did not attract too many people's attention.

The atmosphere on the ship was relatively harmonious. The Star Weavers were noisy and asked each other what was going on. Ruolan and several other members of the Judgment Organization were watching the surroundings vigilantly for fear of another attack from the Shadow Realm Beast.

"Shadowsong, he's awake."

The male elf next to Shadow Song kept his eyes closed, and finally slowly opened them. He glanced at Ling Chen, who was lying on the ground but motionless, and said to Shadow Song.

"Shh, don't act rashly yet."

Hearing this, Shadowsong raised his index finger to his lips, signaling him not to talk too much to attract attention.

Seeing this, the male elf closed his eyes again.

The sailors of the Judgment Organization are driving the ship towards the uninhabited island with all their strength, and the destination is almost there.

The Starweavers on the ship began to exchange their experiences. Although many of their memories were erased, they began to reconnect in the face of a common crisis.

At this moment, the boundaries between races seem to become blurred. They are all survivors thrown by fate in this undercurrent of the sea.

The boat moved slowly, cutting through the sea and creating splashes of water.

A gust of sea breeze brought a chill, and Ling Chen felt that his body began to warm up, and the numbness gradually subsided. He tried his best to finally lift his arm a little.

As the night deepens, the comfortable sea breeze gradually stops, and the surrounding world falls into unusual silence.

The space between the sky and the sea seemed to be shrouded in a layer of black fog that was difficult to see through, and a sense of depression and uneasiness spread.

The candle lights on the ship looked extremely weak in the darkness.

"Yas, why do I feel something is wrong?"

After a while, Shadow Song asked softly.

"Well, be careful."

The male elf named Yas, who is obviously also a Star Weaver of the perception system, is using his weak perception to spy on the surrounding situation.

"Ah... it's really a dark move."

Ling Chen was finally able to raise his arm and used all his strength to pull out the arrow. The iron ring on his left hand was still emitting silver light.

"Yas, I guess... yes."

Shadow Song's tall and slender figure stood on the edge of the ship. As the sea breeze stagnated, she could feel a kind of indifference and hostility that was not of this world gradually filling the air.

"That weird feeling is back!"

Ling Chen was also half sitting on the ground. He didn't have the strength to stand up, but there was another feeling in his heart. It was exactly the same as the shadow beast he had just encountered, but this time it was stronger.

Yas seemed to sense something, and immediately walked to him, pulled him up, and whispered: "Relax, it's okay."

Ling Chen looked at Yas, stunned for a moment, and then thought deeply. The corner of his mouth barely raised a smile, because the gentle voice that just woke him up was Yas's.

Although he didn't know the other party's intentions, he could know that the other party had no ill intentions based on his ability to sense.

Shadow Song looked at Ling Chen and Ya Si who had woken up, and smiled sweetly.

Suddenly, Shadowsong stopped smiling and was replaced by coldness and alertness.

The ship swayed slightly and floated on the silent sea. It was as if nothing had ever happened.

Under night, the starlight was gradually obscured by thick clouds again.

The Star Weavers instinctively moved closer to each other, and many of them with perception systems had already noticed that something that did not belong to this world seemed to be slowly approaching.

The members of the Adjudication Organization drove the boat with expressionless faces. Nothing seems to be found.

"It seems like something is coming again!"

Ling Chen's heartbeat echoed in his chest, and he could feel that every beat was fighting against the oppression of the surrounding environment.

Everyone around them was breathing heavier and heavier, and every time they took a breath, they seemed to be struggling to get the necessary oxygen out of the oppressive air.

Suddenly, an unsettling low roar came from the distance. Although the sound was weak, it was extremely harsh in the silence. The seawater began to surge quietly, like a beast lurking in the night spying on its prey.

Beside the ship's side, slight ripples appeared on the water, gradually becoming more and more tense.

"No...it can't be right?"

Hearing this low roar, Ruolan suddenly felt as if her heartbeat was about to stop. She stared at the direction where the low roar came from, her trembling hands became wider and wider, and finally she could no longer hold the bow and arrow. It fell to the ground.

"Boom!"

In an instant, the low growl slowly increased and turned into a series of sharp howls, like a wail from the depths of hell!

Then, an icy wind rolled up from the sea, carrying a chill that was not of this world, directly penetrated everyone's clothes and penetrated into the bone marrow.

"Roar!!"

Just when the cold wind reached its climax, huge waves suddenly surged on the sea surface, and a huge figure rose from the water, its outline looming in the night.

"Shadow Beast!!"

Looking at this outline, Ruolan finally couldn't hold back her depression and despair and shouted!

The huge smoke-like figure of the shadow beast appeared in the thunderous roar. It was not a creature that anyone had ever seen. It seemed to be condensed from the night sky itself, with the coldness of the void and the twinkling of stars.

There was also black mist surging on its invisible body, and its particularly eye-catching scarlet eyes quickly locked onto the escape boat where Ling Chen was after a brief moment of wandering away.

"boom!"

An oppression many times stronger than the previous shadow beast pressed directly on the escape boat!

"boom!"

The small but extremely sturdy escape boat shattered instantly, and everyone was thrown into the sea.
