God of Time System: Harem in the Zombie Apocalypse

259 Escarte: I don't know where this is going anymore

"I was the one who called you here, milord." Hudson bent on his knees as he spoke in a very very respectful manner to that guy.

His eyes were red, and so was his overgrown, messy hair. A few black stripes were present on his hair, which had… something special about them. He had a circle hat on his head and wore a dark red long coat over his black shirt and black pants, carrying a walking cane with him. On a proper look at his face, he looked no older than 25, but from the demeanor he was carrying; it was obvious that he was much older than that.

[Inspect!]

[Name: ???

'Maybe I should increase the Level up [Inspect]?' I thought as I wanted to see what exactly was this guy? Maybe a bit later…

"I came here to discuss some important matters but Nicholas of the Escarte Family was telling everything to his sister without your permission, breaking rule number 3. When I tried to act, one of Nicholas' men attacked me breaking rule number 8. Nicholas was trying to cover up for his sister and that guy who attacked me, breaking ruler number 12. And since my life was in danger, I apologize I called you using the precious gem that was to be used in emergency situations only," Hudson spoke shamelessly as he looked at the feet of that guy.

"How many rules are there?" I spoke in a whisper to Silver, who was fear struck. Though she turned to look at my nonchalant behavior and for some reason she calmed down before showing 10 fingers and then another 5.

'15, huh?'

"Nicholas. Do you have anything to say?" that King guy asked as he looked at Nicholas before turning at me a little. His eyes observed me for a couple of moments before turning back to Nicholas who… didn't seem really good right now.

"She is my sister, Milord,"Nicholas answered finally as he observed the king.

'He didn't snitch on us, huh? His eyes are… begging us to run away… that's some brother you got there, Carol.' a smile formed on my face as I looked at him, making him confused a little and irritated all the more.

"That is no excuse for breaking a rule, Nicholas," the King spoke and I turned on my [Eyes of the Time Keeper] ability, ready for anything to happen.

"Breaking the rules is forbidden and under normal circumstances, there should be no exception. You are going to be killed along with the rest of your family and your assets will be transferred between the rest of the families…" the King spoke and a bitter expression appeared on Nicholas' face. Hudson was really happy right now and so was Winter, but… Alas… the King hadn't finished speaking,

"... but still. I would like to hear the opinion of the King of the south region of Meria country, Michael Aroa."

And once again… silence.

Hudson was quiet. Nicholas was Quiet. Silver was Quiet. Winter was Quiet.

Even though the room was closed, I could hear the wind passing by as I smiled at the King,

"What's your name?"

He smiled back as he answered,"It's Belmont. Angela spoke very highly of you and asked me to take great care to make sure you get what you want."

Silence.

Hudson was quiet.

Nicholas was quiet.

Winter was quiet.

Silver was quiet.

"I asked her not to do too much… but I guess she couldn't control herself. Anyway, I do need something from you, the whole reason I came here… but I found a couple of interesting things…" I turned to Silver and then to Winter and Hudson.

"You want her?" Belmont asked with slight surprise.

"Interested in her race and background, to be honest. Though before we get to that, can we solve this stupid play your subordinates played? They almost killed my future wife, you know?" I spoke as slight anger rose in my heart again.

For the mere fact that they tried killing something that was mine…. They needed to suffer. All of them… and the Rosante family… I guess I will see things myself.

"I apologize Carol… I think I am gonna take a couple of things in my hand. Hope you don't mind,"I spoke and she shook her head as she answered,"no, it's fine. These parts aren't exactly what I was going to handle. I was more focused on my family. I don't care what you do to other people and stuff."

I smiled at her before turning back to the main situation.

'With that out of the way… hmmm… I guess I should start with Hudson,' I decided before speaking to Belmont,"I am going to kill them for now. Pretend as if nothing ever happened. Also… hmmm… Since I am going to take your direct subordinate, is there anything you want me to do? I am not really that selfish as long as it's reasonable."

He looked at me and smiled as he answered,"they are yours-"

-Thud!

Hudson fell to the ground as his legs were ripped apart from his body, preventing him from running away. Winter was the same as Hudson.

"AAAAAA!!!!"

"AAAAAA!!!"

Both of them shouted, but nobody paid heed to them. I looked at Hudson and spoke,

"You planned really well… is not really something I would say. I don't know how much you did, what you did, how you did, etc. So I won't comment on it. But you probably shouldn't have upset someone strongly without checking their background."

People do things that are beyond reason sometimes, so I wasn't planning to know anything deeply about it… or more like, my [Inspect] skill had already told me everything that I needed to know.

"Who… are you?" Hudson asked as he looked at me in terror. His hands were shaking, his body was shaking, he was barely holding himself. I turned to look at Winter, who had already passed out with fear.

'Well, I hope I get some proper Exp from him,' I thought as I

-Slash! Slashed his neck using my bare hands

[You have killed an Elite Zombified Meta-Human(E-Grade)]

[+4500 Exp Received]

'Hmmm… not even comparable…' I sighed, really deep in disappointment as I observed the message I received. In fact, the miniscule motivation I had for killing these pests died in an instant.

'Are the monsters really going to be helpful?' I thought as my hope to level up in this place was dying more and more.

It turned to Winter for a few moments before looking at Nicholas, who was still silent all this time.

"You can do whatever you want with that one,"I said as I got bored with it. If the strong one was like that… the weak one won't even compare. I should rather focus on exercising.

"Well, Belmont. I am gonna be brutally honest here. I heard that you guys are experimenting with monsters and stuff, and I want you to share a portion of monsters with me. I want to train myself a little and I am surely going to kill that portion. Give me your thoughts about it,"I spoke without hiding anything.

"What?!!!!!" Nicholas, who was silent all this time, shouted as he looked at me. His eyes were in disbelief. It wasn't just him, but Belmont too was in a deep gaze as his smile turned super serious and he spoke,

"That would be really difficult for us to do."

"Think of the most impossible things you want to do and tell me… maybe I can help you out in that regard and in exchange you can give me the portion that I want?" I tried persuading him, as I trusted my abilities. If not today, maybe a few weeks later, when I will get to the next few Levels, I should be able to help them out with something.

"Hmmm… well… since you used the word 'impossible' there is actually one thing that strikes my mind,"he spoke as he looked at me with slight curiosity. I wonder what he was thinking.

"Wait here for a few minutes,"he spoke and vanished from there, leaving us all by ourselves here.

-Thud!

Silver fell on the ground as she finally breathed out loud before looking at me with a really enchanted look,"Master!!!" she jumped at me super fast as if she were going in for a kiss… well… I turned to the side as I let her run directly at the wall, crashing and falling on the ground like an idiot.

"What happened to her?" I asked Nicholas, who was still in a daze, about everything that had just happened right now. Now that I think about it, things have always been like this, haven't they? One surprise after another and things usually deviating from the norm that I planned?

'Maybe I should just get used to it,' I sighed before turning to Nicholas, who was observing me with deep thought.

But before I could initiate any conversation, Belmont came back with a strange device in his hand.

[Inspect!]

[Portal to the OuterWorld!]

[This device is connected to an Ancient portal to another planet named Wera. Unlocking code is: Ilisktera and an energy signature of the Planet Wera's civilisation. Another way to open the portal is to push a pure source of energy into it, allowing it to give the manual control of its content to the user. If the user is smart enough, he may be able to manually open the gate by himself]

"Oh! A portal to OuterWorld, huh? Cool thing you got there!" I spoke with a bright smile as I looked at that device and Belmont, who wasn't really expecting anything, just stopped his movements as his eyes looked at me with pure stupefaction.

"What did you just say?" he asked as if he couldn't believe his ears….
