Green Monster Epic
#489 - Solution
Chapter 475: The Solution
The ground beneath Facardo's feet trembled incessantly, and the area diagonally in front, where the cavalry unit had been, was shrouded in a thick layer of smoke and dust.
At the forefront of the Green Field troops, a tall and imposing figure slowly revealed its true form. The ornate golden robe shone like a beacon in the darkness, dazzling the eyes of the many goblins.
The floor-length robe, a replica from a dream, reminiscent of the human emperor seated upon a high dragon throne, differed greatly from the attire of the Fayman World, yet it accentuated Allen's imposing aura as a superior being.
Bonecleaver scraped slowly across the uneven, stone-brick ground. Allen turned his head, his stern gaze sweeping over the Green Field warriors behind him, finally settling upon Facardo.
"Get back to the castle and stay there! You haven't even figured out what your duty is!!"
This reprimand plunged the ever-calm Facardo into despair, and he replied in a low voice, as if his spirit had been broken: "Yes."
The dust and smoke in front dissipated, revealing a shattered ground and unrecognizable clumps of flesh and corpses. With a single strike, Allen had eradicated the rebellion's trump card used to ambush Facardo and his men, leaving no survivors.
Around him, as Allen appeared, the faces of the rebels showed panic, and they scattered in all directions, their previous bravery gone.
After uttering those words, Allen didn't linger. Spotting the largest gathering of rebels, Bonecleaver was raised and swept, turning the Gale Sword into a storm of blades. It carried his body, sweeping through, and soon the air was filled with the stench of blood, countless pieces of flesh raining down upon the ground.
Facardo, like a frost-bitten eggplant, weakly issued the order after Allen rescued them: "Retreat!!"
The group quickly began marching back towards the castle.
The scattered, fleeing rebels were not worth chasing in Allen's eyes. Once the rebels in this stronghold had gradually retreated, the goblin warriors who should have been stationed here began to reappear.
"Who is in charge here?"
Once the crisis was over, Allen returned to the stronghold. Seeing the goblins on the ground scrambling to collect loot, he questioned them loudly.
This was the warehouse where the fortress stored its equipment, and a considerable number of guards had been assigned here. However, after Allen walked around, he didn't find many goblin warrior corpses, indicating that when the riot broke out, most of the garrison members in this stronghold had collapsed and fled without much resistance.
A group of goblins lowered their heads, not daring to meet Allen's gaze. They were well aware of their dereliction of duty, fearing that they would incur the wrath of this Legend. Occasionally, someone would look to the left, where a team of five strong goblin squads was carrying a lot of loot.
Boom!!
Bonecleaver swept across, and the massive wind blade of the Wrathful Slash cut the five guys, along with their protective armor, who didn't even have time to make a sound, in half at the waist.
"You, I now promote you to be the captain of the guard here! Gather your team together!!"
Allen randomly pointed to the face of the tallest and most robust bear goblin in the field, immediately picking out a person in charge.
"What's your name?"
"Ah? My name is Caini, Chieftain."
The bear goblin was stunned, not expecting such a good thing to fall on him. His little head was dizzy at the moment.
"Guard this place well for me. If the previous situation happens again, all of you stationed in this warehouse will die!!!!"
The chilling tone and the intense pressure of a Legend immediately sobered the bear goblin Caini, and made a group of people in the field couldn't help but shudder.
"Yes, yes!! We will definitely guard…"
Before the bear goblin could finish expressing his determination, Allen had already soared into the sky, heading to another battlefield to suppress the riot.
With Allen's strength, suppressing a few small-scale riots was a piece of cake, but as the chaotic scene gradually subsided, Allen couldn't help but feel a few doubts in his heart.
The other side chose this sensitive time to create a riot that seemed large in scale, but in reality, not many goblins participated. Allen suppressed several venues in a row, and didn't encounter too much resistance, which was obviously somewhat abnormal.
The riot, as it seemed now, was just a lot of thunder and little rain, so what was the purpose of the rioters in causing this riot? Could it be that their strength was only limited to this?
The closer he got to the end, the more tense Allen's spirit became, and the more sharp his movements became, never allowing these bastards to bring the slightest threat to the fort.
Two magic hours passed, and as the main force of the rioters was dealt with by Allen, the local warriors who had been seeking self-preservation in the city finally realized what was happening and joined the action to suppress the riot.
Whoosh!!
Rushing like the wind, Allen headed back to his newly built castle. Before he could approach the castle gate, he saw a group of people standing in front of the wide circle outside the castle, talking in small groups. Among them, the most striking were a group of goblins dressed in plain black clothes, with tears in the corners of their eyes, kneeling in the open space of the garden and crying loudly.
"Oh, our protagonist has finally returned!!!!"
Chief Svenchi of the Aman Shah tribe glanced at Allen, who was covered in blood, and said sarcastically.
"High Priest Philemon, it's him!!!! He killed our Chieftain Beryl. You must stand up for us!!!!"
Sean, the leading commander among the kneeling earth goblins, was one of the few surviving former high-ranking members of the Agina tribe. When Allen purged the tribe, he happened to be in Mansa City as a tribal representative, so he was spared. After hearing about the great changes that had taken place in the tribe, he simply took the tribe's resources in Mansa City and disappeared.
It was unknown when, but he secretly sneaked back into the tribe, lurking, and only suddenly appeared now.
"And our tribe's Elder Manorin. I've already inquired about it. Around the time Elder Manorin disappeared, this bear goblin happened to appear in Mansa City!!!! I believe that he must have a major relationship with Elder Manorin's disappearance!!!!"
Allen wasn't familiar with Sean, only having occasionally bumped into him twice when he went to the Agina tribe. However, the Green Field intelligence system had also collected information about him. These days, Allen had been busy rectifying the relationships up and down the fortress. Later, when he stabilized the Agina tribe and sent people to deal with Sean, he was long gone.
Unexpectedly, this guy was so loyal to the former chieftain, that he dared to come back and accuse him.
After seeing the face of this earth goblin clearly, Allen's doubts about this riot were finally mostly resolved.
No wonder the riots in the city specifically targeted the strongholds farthest from the chieftain's castle, and with such a small number of rioters. The real ringleaders all gathered here. Allen scanned the group of nearly a hundred goblins, almost half of whom were mid-to-low-level leaders purged by the tribe, now standing behind Sean in support.
Faced with Sean's heartfelt plea, Allen remained expressionless and indifferent, his gaze fixed on the ranks of soldiers around him.
"Who is responsible for the castle's defense? Who allowed these insignificant fellows in here?"
"Facardo!! Facardo!!!"
"Oh, Chieftain Allen, are you feeling guilty?"
It was still Sfinci, the chieftain of the Amansha tribe, continuing his sarcastic tone, fanning the flames.
"Chieftain Allen, some things really need to be clarified. After all, you still have to lead this group of tribesmen!"
Janre, the representative of the Argon tribe, who always echoed the Amansha tribe, pointed to the group of goblins earnestly.
"The most important thing for a tribe is unity, otherwise it cannot last long!!"
The surrounding chieftains and envoys watched Allen's next move with various complex expressions. Especially the Drow Dark Saintess, Ai Xuli, who made no secret of the mockery in her eyes, as if she was watching a good show.
At this moment, the most troubled were not Allen, but the two most important temple envoys in the field, Filimon and Nordin.
Compared to Filimon, Nordin had at least one advantage, which was that the Ajina tribe had already defected from the Oak camp and turned to the Church of Nature during Beryl's tenure as chieftain. This was no secret among the Ajina tribe's upper echelons, only the lower-level goblins were unaware.
Therefore, Sean sought help more from Filimon when he filed his complaint.
The difficulty for Filimon and Nordin was that they could not favor Allen in front of so many members of the Wilderness Alliance, otherwise it would inevitably be used by those with ulterior motives to undermine the temple's prestige. At the same time, they could not do nothing. Over the years, the alliance had invested too many resources and manpower at the temple's request, and everyone wanted to see what attitude the temple would take when tribal members encountered difficulties like those of the Ajina tribe.
Of course, ambitious figures like Sfinci of Amansha hoped to stir up the waters of Ajina and see if they could get a chance to gain greater benefits.
"Chieftain Allen, you said that you are a member of the Ajina tribe and have won the recognition of the tribe's people, so we agreed to support you in the position of chieftain. But now it seems that what you said is not quite the case!!"
"Look at the situation now, how are you going to solve it?"
Filimon's face was very unsightly. After looking around at these rebellious members of Ajina, he asked solemnly.
"Solve?"
Allen raised his eyebrows, his eagle eyes swept around, and he said with great momentum: "This is very easy to solve!!"
Bonecleaver suddenly appeared in his hand. In the blink of an eye, a Heaven-splitting strike, infused with Allen's full rage and physical strength, went straight towards the nearly hundred protesting goblins standing opposite him.
"Chieftain Allen!!"
"You dare…"
Everyone's expressions changed drastically. No one had expected that this bear goblin would be so wild and tyrannical, actually daring to do something so drastic as cutting off the roots in front of so many tribal representatives, leaders, and even temple envoys.
"Hehe, what a courageous hero, I can't help but feel a surge of affection!!"
Before anyone else could react, the Drow Saintess Ai Xuli, as an uninvited guest, preempted everyone and lashed a long leather whip directly at the gleaming blade of Bonecleaver in Allen's hand.
"Get out!!"
Allen roared, and the Rage skill was activated instantly. Condensed mental power was also poured into Bonecleaver. On the spot, like a blob of hot oil, the blade ignited a huge amount of rage, and a raging flame spread from the blade of Bonecleaver, quickly covering Allen's entire body.
As if a god incarnate descending into the material world, Bonecleaver, slashing straight down, made contact with the Drow Saintess's long whip. With a snap, the long whip instantly shattered into countless pieces, and at the same time, following the origin of the whip, the Drow Saintess also seemed to be struck by lightning, and the whole person shot backwards into the garden with a bang. After a series of crackling sounds, the other party's figure disappeared.
Sean and the others were also frightened. They had thought about many of Allen's reactions, but they never expected that this bear goblin would be so decisive and vicious.
It was too late to regret it. Although so many legendary powerhouses had come, many people had various concerns and hesitations in their hearts. Some people wanted to come and help, but they were intentionally or unintentionally restrained by other powerhouses nearby.
Everything could only depend on themselves. Sean and his group of goblin companions stood up from the ground, drew the weapons in their hands, and resolutely faced the coming rage of a legend.
"Roar!!!"
A Ironhide Bear nearly ten meters tall descended from the sky. Others hesitated and lost the opportunity to act for this and that reason, but there was one person who would not hesitate, and that was Grandmaster Oscar, the Fury of Nature from the Oak Church.
Although specializing in natural divine arts, the Polymorph spell was not difficult for Oscar, who had already advanced to the mid-stage of the legendary rank.
Under the effect of Giant Growth, the Ironhide Bear was mighty and full of power, blocking Allen and Sean's group. A giant palm was raised high, just in time to block Allen's Bonecleaver.
Clusters of invisible flames burned around his body. When he saw Oscar's transformed giant bear, a rare ripple appeared in Allen's eyes, but in an instant, this ripple was replaced by a firm will.
Without any intention of holding back, he unleashed the Heaven-splitting sword style unreservedly.
"Aww!!!"
On a giant palm of the Ironhide Bear covered with earth and stone armor, flesh and blood flew from a deep wound, and even the jade-white palm bone was exposed.
The huge energy formed a huge storm in the air, violently blowing around. Unable to withstand the power of Allen's sword strike, the Ironhide Bear crashed down towards the place where Sean and the others were standing.
"Ah!!"
"Ah…"
Screams of misery came from the back of the Ironhide Bear as it landed. Sean and the others did not wait for Allen's sword strike, but instead ushered in a mountain of flesh. The weight of the Ironhide Bear itself, coupled with the aftermath of Allen's sword strike, caused heavy losses to the nearly hundred-strong goblin team under this one press.
"Enough!! Allen!!!"
Dong!!
Seeing Oscar injured, Nordin's eyes suddenly turned icy. Although he was surprised by the increase in Allen's strength, he had to state his position and maintain the authority of the Church.
