In Green Lake Town, Trick sat in his office, his face inevitably showing some fatigue as he faced the towering pile of documents, but his spirit was highly focused.

He had thought that under his management, Green Lake Town should be thriving, but it wasn't until the clan leader assigned Trick the arduous task of thoroughly investigating the internal affairs of the tribe that Trick discovered the problems at the grassroots and middle levels, which were somewhat alarming.

Eating free meals, maliciously creating difficulties, soliciting bribes, and other behaviors were commonplace in the tribe's management departments, with nearly half of the staff engaging in such violations. As for inaction or negligence, they seemed less glaring compared to the aforementioned issues.

"It seems it's time to clean up the atmosphere in the town!!"

The spy issue hadn't been resolved, and even bigger problems had already surfaced, causing Trick considerable anxiety. At least in Trick's view, the problems in the management of Green Lake Town were far more serious than the spies potentially lurking in the tribe.

"Dad, this is the first list of members we're preparing to arrest. Please approve it."

Brandon, a hobgoblin wearing dark brown armor and walking with brisk efficiency, was 34 years old this year. He was Trick's eldest son and the second-in-command of the Green Lake Town Security Bureau.

"Are you going to make the arrests again this time?"

Trick's eyes revealed a gentle expression as he took the documents from Brandon and reviewed them, while inquiring.

"Yes."

Brandon replied in a deep voice, showing no hint of negligence simply because the elder before him was his father.

"You should decline this kind of goblin-offending task and let the other goblins do it."

After carefully reviewing and confirming that there were no problems, Trick signed his name on the documents and sealed the signature with a unique magical stamp. A faint and unique magical aura emanated from the sealed mark.

"No one wants to do this kind of thing, that's why I'm doing it!"

Brandon said matter-of-factly.

"Alas, you!!"

Trick felt helpless. His eldest son was good in every way, without any bad habits, diligent and steadfast. His only flaw was his personality, which was too upright and honest.

While Trick was still in the position of town chief, he could cover for Brandon even if he caused any problems. The fear was that after he retired, if this child continued to act in this way, he would inevitably be schemed against sooner or later.

Fortunately, Trick also knew his child's capabilities. Although he was upright and honest, his abilities were genuine. His position as the second-in-command of the Security Bureau was not due to Trick's assistance. Moreover, Allen, the true controller of the Green Field Tribe, had a strong preference for hard-working talents like Brandon. If he could find an opportunity to get Allen to notice Brandon, then even if he was gone, his eldest son's position in the tribe would still be secure.

Not to mention that, besides Brandon, his eldest son, his other two children were also very promising. His eldest daughter, Helena, had now become an excellent assassin. Although she had only recently been promoted to the advanced level for a few years, she still had the opportunity to seek the path to legend. His youngest son, Samuel, was only 18 years old and had just come of age, but he had already begun to shine in the academy. His mind was very agile, not inferior to his father, the only thing lacking was perhaps the experience gained from years of training.

"Now that the facts of these guys' crimes are confirmed, will you personally lead the subsequent punishment, or will our Security Bureau handle it according to the current regulations?"

Brandon took the documents handed over by Trick, checked them, and put them away, then slowly inquired.

"I'll handle this. The atmosphere in town is a bit bad right now, so I'll take this opportunity to set an example."

How could Trick possibly hand this matter over to Brandon and the others? That old fox in the Security Bureau would definitely pass this thankless task to Brandon again. It would be better for Trick to handle it himself. Even if he offended someone, others would at most resent this old bone of his.

"Your most important task is not to arrest these bastards, but to keep a close eye on those few targets I told you about before. See who they're contacting and what they're doing."

"Remember to report their movements to me at any time, and don't let them discover you!!"

Within the general range given by Allen, Trick and his team had actually identified four potential spies among the Green Lake Town tribesmen.

If it weren't for Brandon and his Security Bureau's elite secretly tracking and carefully investigating at night, no one would have thought that a goblin who was born and raised in Green Lake Town and held an important position in the tribe would actually betray the Green Field Tribe and become a spy for other forces.

Of course, the Green Field Tribe's foundation had never left Green Lake Town, and compared to the mixed environment of Murr Fortress, the situation in Green Lake Town was much simpler. With Trick's foundation in Green Lake Town and the tribe's control over the town, as long as these guys were active, it was only a matter of time before they were caught.

"Understood, I've arranged for two teams of surveillance personnel for each target, constantly monitoring them."

Brandon's eyes revealed murderous intent, wishing he could immediately slaughter these guys along with their superiors and subordinates.

Having received tribal education since childhood and traveled and adventured outside after growing up, Brandon had witnessed the miserable lives of other natives in the wilderness. He felt an extremely strong sense of belonging to the tribe. The lives of the Green Field tribesmen were vastly different from those of other tribes, making Brandon feel very happy and proud.

Now that someone was secretly spying on his tribe, although they hadn't discovered how much malice they harbored, it was absolutely something Brandon couldn't tolerate.

"Alright, you can leave."

How could Trick not be filled with resentment? As a hobgoblin family that was originally enslaved, it was the Green Field Tribe that had given Trick his current position and power, and it was Chief Allen who had given their family a new life. This alone was enough to make Trick feel grateful to the tribe and to Allen, and he was willing to contribute everything he had to the tribe.

Trick's family, as well as his future, were all within the Green Field Tribe. Any force that wanted to harm the tribe was Trick's enemy.

Thinking of this, Trick's eyes rarely revealed a cruel look. He would let these guys know that anyone who dared to covet the Green Field Tribe would not have a good end!!!
