Harry Potter: Charlie and the Candy Factory
Chapter 6: Ordinary Children Who Can't Be Ordinary Anymore
Harry raised his head, and his eyes met Charlie's with a hint of confusion.
Although he didn't understand what Charlie's words meant, bursts of warmth still filled Harry's heart... Perhaps, this was the feeling of being "loved" by someone.
Harry couldn't help but think.
After a moment of silence, the look in Harry's eyes seemed to be a little richer than before.
He nodded seriously, stretched out his hand along the parted hair, and carefully stroked the scar on his head just like Charlie did.
At this moment, the scar that had been there since I could remember seemed to have been awakened by some strange power and became slightly hot.
But soon, the sudden heat dissipated again, as if nothing happened, and it became the same as usual.
Charlie watched Harry's movements and sighed secretly... There was no way, being able to tell Harry these things was already the limit of what he could do.
Because Harry was not supposed to have any interaction with the wizarding world until he was officially eleven years old.
Perhaps from this moment on, the original story will undergo earth-shaking changes because of this butterfly flapping its wings.
Charlie couldn't help but think about it.
"Hopefully everything is going in a better direction."
He murmured subconsciously.
"Sir, what did you say?"
At this moment, Harry had already put down the hand that was still stroking his forehead, looked at the distracted Charlie strangely, and asked in confusion.
"fine."
Charlie shook his head and brought his thoughts back to his eyes.
He raised his head, looked at the slowly setting sun and the gradually darkening sky, and said to Harry.
"It seems that the two of us chatted for a long time without knowing it... It's getting very late, maybe you should go back, Harry."
Upon hearing this, the look in Harry's eyes dimmed again, and he lowered his head and nodded reluctantly.
The joy and warmth that I had just received from Charlie suddenly disappeared without a trace after I thought about going home to face the Dursley family.
To be honest, facing the faces of that family and the small and damp stairwell, he had thousands of reluctances in his heart.
At this moment, Harry suddenly raised his head again, looking at the man in front of him whom he had just met for a short time, but who really made him feel the warmth and love that he had never experienced before. He suddenly asked in a strange way.
"Mr. Charlie, can you take me away?"
The moment he said this, he regretted it. After all, this was definitely very abrupt for a person he had only met once.
Sure enough, Charlie lowered his eyes and slowly shook his head.
"I'm sorry, Harry. As much as I want to take you away from here, it can't be done - at least not yet. You have to stay with your loved ones...even if they are a bunch of bastards."
"Um."
Harry's head lowered again. Listening to Charlie's words, although he had already thought of the result, he still couldn't help but feel sad.
After another moment of silence, Harry spoke, "Then...I'll leave first. Goodbye, Mr. Charlie."
After saying that, just as Harry took steps with difficulty, preparing to walk in the direction of "home".
Charlie's warm and strong hand suddenly pressed on his shoulder.
"Wait a minute kid..."
Harry raised his head in surprise and looked at Charlie again.
A smile appeared on Charlie's face again, as if he had thought of some way. He said unhurriedly
"Although I can't let you leave that place, but... maybe I can help you teach that little suckling pig a lesson, at least let him suffer some due pain, what do you think?"
Upon hearing this, Harry laughed again and nodded without hesitation.
It can be seen that otherwise he would have wanted Dudley to suffer a lot.
Seeing that Harry agreed, Charlie didn't care anymore.
He reached into the inside of his coat, and as if by magic, he took out three pieces of hazelnut chocolate, and then handed two of them to Harry's hand.
"These two pieces are my gift to you. Hide them carefully so that your uncle and others don't find them."
After listening to Charlie's words, Harry nodded hurriedly after taking the chocolate, then opened his clothes and carefully stuffed the two chocolates into the gaps of his clothes.
After putting down the clothes again, he carefully smoothed out the wrinkles on the clothes to prevent others from looking at him from the outside.
"As for this..."
Charlie took the last piece of chocolate in his hand and weighed it gently.
"Find a way for Dudley to find it."
After saying that, as if he was afraid that Harry wouldn't understand what he meant, he raised his eyebrows and winked at him again.
"Okay... I think I understand!"
With Harry's intelligence, it was easy to guess what was going on.
Although he was not sure what would happen, he was sure that Charlie must have "added something" to the chocolate.
With a vague expectation of the "added" chocolate, Harry finally regained his composure, and after saying goodbye to Charlie, he set off on his way back.
Charlie and Russell stood there, watching Harry's figure become smaller and smaller through the light emitted by the lit street lights.
"Mr. Charlie!!"
Just when Harry was about to turn the corner and leave, he suddenly stopped again, turned his head and shouted in the direction of Charlie.
"Well, what's wrong?"
Charlie waved his hand at him from a distance and responded in the same way.
Harry took a deep breath, then summoned up his courage and asked loudly, "Will I be able to see you again in the future!!"
"Don't worry, if nothing unexpected happens, we will meet again soon."
This time, Charlie did not disappoint Harry again. He nodded and gave the child a positive answer.
After receiving the answer, Harry was finally satisfied and laughed again.
He raised his arm and waved vigorously towards the other party.
With a final "Goodbye, Mr. Charlie."
Harry Potter completely disappeared from Charlie's eyes and turned towards the street they had walked through before.
"Russell..."
Looking at the direction Harry Potter was leaving, Charlie suddenly shouted.
"Yes! My dear Master Charlie."
Russell, who had been regarded as transparent air and disappeared from existence, now returned to Charlie's side.
Hearing Charlie's call, he hurriedly responded.
"What do you think of this kid?"
Russell frowned and thought for a while.
Finally shook his head
"I'm sorry, Master Charlie, please forgive Russell's stupidity. In Russell's eyes, he is just an ordinary child. Russell can't see anything special."
"yes……"
Charlie narrowed his eyes, exhaled a breath, and said with emotion
"He is just an extremely ordinary child."
