Harry Potter: Charlie and the Candy Factory
It's on the shelves on Friday, and I want to chat with you briefly before it goes on the shelve
emmmmm... After waiting for so many days, it has been almost two months since the book was released on February 20th. It will be on the shelves by then... I also want to take this time to chat with you guys.
In fact... it can be said that it was an accident when you first read this book.
Harry Potter: Charlie's Candy Factory originally came from an accidental idea of mine.
Later, I got excited and wrote a 10,000-word sample for it. I originally planned to submit it internally, but ended up submitting it to three editors. No one liked it, and no one even responded to me.
At that time, I felt so inferior...I lay on the bed and kept checking my QQ mailbox, trying to see a reply. For a whole week, I didn't get a reply.
I began to doubt whether I was really suitable for writing a novel.
Fortunately, I still have friends who persuade me... Since you have written everything, just post the 10,000 words first... It's better than just deleting it, right?
Just like that, I listened to him and sent out the four chapters... As a result, these four chapters, 10,000 words, made me sign a contract. I signed a good editor.
What was the purpose of writing this book in the first place?
Because I am short of money...I want to buy a swich, I want to buy Pokémon Vermillion, I want to play Hogwarts Legacy...and I am a poor student.
My original plan was to write an online novel... It was the kind that the editor didn't like, and then I was asked to put it on the shelves with 130,000 words, and I had to eat 1,500 subsistence allowances every month, and I was happy to eat three
Then I found a reason to finish it... I calculated, three months and four thousand and five thousand, which is just enough to complete all of my above dreams, which is so satisfying.
As a result... the book became popular and was seen by many people. The number of people reading the book suddenly increased from a few hundred to more than 20,000.
It was recommended by the editor, it was on the small speaker, it was on Sanjiang……
I was stunned. First I felt ecstasy, then after the ecstasy, came the pressure.
More than 20,000 people are reading my book, so I definitely can’t put it out as planned... This was my first thought.
But what do they like?! I don’t know. From this point on, I started frantically looking for information, changing the plot, and making up for the mistakes I made.
Then... I got stuck... I don't want to continue writing according to the original work, but what should I do if I write like this? Can I be a little fancy and start writing something else based on the original work? What if
If I really want to write, how should I write?
I thought about it for a long time, and while I was writing, I reluctantly continued writing...
Next, let’s talk about the recent problem and my solution.
Is the writing short? A chapter of two thousand words is indeed ridiculously short... But as a student, especially a guy who can't touch type and can only spell on his mobile phone, it's actually really difficult...
However, I am willing to make changes for you... because you like my books, and I don't want to live up to your love. After it is put on the shelves, I will mention 3,000 words for each chapter, and try to write two chapters a day. If I can't do it,
If it’s a chapter, then it’s a chapter of 4,000 words.
Is the writing watery? Watery... But I really can't change this problem... I either don't want to be watery, I just really like to use more pen and ink in those inadvertent little places to describe them with my own characteristics.
I can't change this... Really, I really like to deduct small things like this. If I really changed it, this book would no longer be this book.
Regarding comments... In fact, I really like reading comments. I have read almost everyone's comments. Whether it is criticism or praise, I will read it carefully.
I have also banned comments and deleted comments, but most of them involve personal attacks...
Let me give you an interesting example... I have a brother who scolded me from the very beginning, saying that my writing about nannies was too similar to Harry Potter. It was really too poisonous.
Then, I originally thought he would quit, but as a result, he was scolded from the very beginning while watching, and ended up cursing me at the end.
As a result, I banned him and deleted all his comments.
Then he changed his account and started scrubbing the comment area...I would like to thank my two administrators. If it weren't for them, I really wouldn't have been able to clean up so many comments.
The plot progresses very slowly, and there are very few updates. If you want to support it, just support it... As long as you are always here, remember the real book, and come back to read it from time to time, I will be happy.
Although md said this before it was put on the shelves, it was a bit frustrating...but it's actually not bad, after all, it is much better than my original goal.
Let this be considered as Friday’s launch speech. If you want to chat, feel free to comment. Don’t worry, I will try my best to reply if you see it.
