Harry Potter: Charlie and the Candy Factory
Chapter 97 No way to explain
After coming out of Katie's magic house with the ugly and deformed wand in his hand, Charlie waved it again without any further hesitation, letting the somewhat jerky magic begin to heal with the shaking of his wrist.
Hair rises and falls.
With a "swish" sound, a light suddenly lit up in the dark alley, but quickly faded away. The light dissipated, and Charlie also disappeared, heading straight to the Blind Pig Bar.
……………………
"Akwen!! Now tell me how you cut off that house elf's leg that day!!"
In the misty atmosphere mixed with the smell of alcohol, the Fairy Jazz Band continued to play, but not many people were paying attention to it.
A wizard who was obviously drunk opened his mouth and let out a wine burp, while also revealing a mouthful of big, burnt-yellow teeth.
He turned his head and drunkenly patted a skinny wizard beside him who looked like a Latino.
The skinny wizard picked up a glass of grog and drank it in one sip. Seeing everyone looking at him, he stood up from his seat in cooperation.
After a few awkward steps, he came to the wall, and took advantage of the opportunity to pick off a shriveled calf from the exhibit hanging above - it was the same leg that Dabu had chopped off.
The skinny wizard grabbed the ankle of the calf and raised it high. He looked around at the crowd and took in all the expressions before finally shouting at them with a smug look on his face.
"This is really not an easy thing - don't think I'm fooling you. He's not an ordinary house elf."
"That... guy's skin is really thick, and it's my fault!"
When he said this, his already proud face became even more proud.
He raised his chin high and then slapped his chest fiercely.
"Didn't you see it then!? So many wizards were attacking him, but I was the only one who cut off its legs!"
"Like the time you used the Cutting Curse to kill those three Muggles in Arkansas!"
Among the crowd, it was obvious that they knew something about this skinny wizard named Akwen, and they naturally responded loudly.
"right!!!"
Mentioning this, Akwen seemed to have been given a shot of chicken blood, and his whole body became energetic, waving the calf in his hand, and said
"Just like when I killed that family of Muggles! As for my cutting spell! I'm not bragging! I'm sure that I am the best among the blind pigs."
Akwen licked his mouth, as if he began to miss the fun he had when he was wanted, and his expression became more and more morbidly tender.
"This is all after constant practice..."
Fields naturally noticed the movement in the bar. He glanced at Akwen who was still bragging, shook his head with a smile, then picked up the cigar in his hand and took a long puff.
A puff of light pink smoke came out of his mouth, and a look of intoxication gradually appeared on Fields' face.
Smacking his lips, Fields turned his head, glanced at a subordinate next to him, and couldn't help but ask.
"Why is it so powerful this time? Where did it come from?"
"Something new from Germany recently."
The boy next to him quickly bowed and answered carefully.
"It is indeed a German product...it just uses genuine materials at a reasonable price."
Fields nodded with satisfaction, stroked his mustache under his nose, and took another deep breath.
However, this time, before he could spit out the cigarette, a violent roar exploded in his ears.
"boom!!!!!!!"
Grain coat
"Cough cough cough..." This sudden voice startled Fields. He couldn't catch the breath and almost inhaled the cigar smoke directly into his lungs.
"Damn it, where's the movement coming from?"
While he lowered his head and coughed awkwardly, he subconsciously narrowed his eyes and looked in the direction of the sound.
I saw that Akwen, who had stood up and yelled wantonly just now, had lost his voice at this time.
His head had disappeared at some point, and there were only burnt marks left where the neck and head were connected, gradually spreading downwards.
His body was still standing, and the arm that held up his "trophy" had not yet been put down. It seemed that even Akwen himself had not realized that he was dead at this moment.
For a moment, the noisy bar seemed to be stuck, and suddenly fell silent.
With a "pop" sound, the cigar Fields held in his hand fell to the ground. He was also stunned, stunned by this sudden accident that did not happen for some reason.
But in the next second, he reacted immediately, his brows turned into a knot. He stood up from his seat with a "ru" sound, and while searching the crowd for the person who cast the spell, he cursed loudly.
"Which damn bastard!! Don't you know you can't do anything in the Blind Pig Bar?!!!"
No matter how drunk they were, all the guys woke up and began to look around cautiously. Each guy had even pulled out his wand and made a gesture ready to cast a spell.
"So...didn't he just chop off the leg of an elf in this smelly place?"
Just when everyone was on alert and the atmosphere was getting tense and taking a turn for the worse, Charlie's voice suddenly came out from the crowd.
Immediately, the wizards next to him subconsciously retreated to the surroundings, and all eyes were focused on him.
Charlie was sitting at an ordinary table, and like other guests who came here, he ordered a glass of grog and drank it alone.
The wand was still in his hand, and it was at the top of the wand. The remaining warmth had not dissipated, and a wisp of white smoke was drifting upward. What it represented was self-evident.
Looking at Charlie, who was calm and composed, as if he didn't feel at all that he was being targeted by a whole bar of desperadoes, Fields narrowed his eyes.
After a moment of silence, Fields asked tentatively.
"Are you the owner of that house elf?"
"No, I'm his boss." Charlie shook his head, put down the wine glass in his hand, then stood up, patted the wrinkles on his clothes, and said leisurely.
"..."
The brows that were originally pressed together did not relax, but became a little tighter.
Fields' years of experience inexplicably struck him in his heart, telling him that the guy in front of him was not a fuel-efficient lamp.
"No matter what you are to him..."
While Fields was organizing his words, he looked warily at the ugly wand in the other person's hand.
"At least now, Akwen is dead. Akwen was at fault first. How about I give you a face and let you leave?"
After hearing what Fields said, all the emotions of surprise, confusion, and astonishment in the bar were mixed together into a cacophony of sounds.
"Stop it……"
However, facing the generosity shown by Fields, Charlie did not nod.
He laughed and looked straight at Fields, making him feel a chill in his heart.
"If I go back like this, I won't be able to explain to my people."
