Harry Potter: The Age of Magic

Chapter 197 Ravenclaw's Puzzle

A minute later, Rossi came to a brand new floating platform from the road engraved with the blue eagle pattern.

Although it looks the same as the platform just now, there is no cross mark she made with her umbrella on the platform.

After drawing a circle on the second platform, Rossi habitually walked toward the stairs on the opposite right that were engraved with a yellow badger pattern.

Fortunately, this time the blind audition was also correct, and she successfully came to a new platform.

After casually drawing a triangular mark, she quickly walked towards the road on the right with the green snake pattern engraved on it.

However, this time, the cross mark appeared again on the platform at the end of the stairs.

Well, it really can't all depend on luck...

But if there is no repetition, there is no suspense about which way the third path should be taken!

Thinking of this, she walked quickly back to the third platform, then passed the road engraved with the red lion and came to a new platform.

What luck!

After drawing a square on the ground, Rossi stepped onto the stairs engraved with green snake patterns with relaxed steps.

Not surprisingly, this path was chosen correctly.

But at the end of it, there is still a brand new platform that is almost exactly the same, except that the order of the patterns on the four roads has changed.

Huh? There are still some? Continue to use the group method to eliminate them?

As soon as this thought came to her mind, she reflected and hit herself on the head, complaining to herself:

"Rosie, Rosie, you have to use your brain. You can't just rely on luck anymore! Otherwise, it won't be long before you really become an out-and-out Gryffindor!"

After a pause, he silently laughed at himself: "You are not as diligent and talented as Hermione!"

After a brief observation, Rossi squatted down and sketched on the ground:

There are four different roads. The simplest case is to take each road in turn and then reach the end. But now it is obviously more than this, so you must find out the rules and follow them.

The known correct choices are: blue eagle, yellow badger, red lion, and green snake. If four choices are one round, how many rounds will this maze go through?

The greatest possibility is four. Whether it is four colleges, four colors or four animals, the number is always four.

"Well... we don't rule out that there will be multiples of four, but there shouldn't be any need to make a secret passage so complicated, right?"

Rossi whispered hopefully.

On the initial platform of the first round, the patterns in the four directions are green snake, red lion, blue eagle and yellow badger. If this platform is regarded as the beginning of a new round, then the red lion, blue eagle, green snake, yellow badger,

Does this order also mean something?

After shaking her head slightly to make her thinking clearer, she wrote down green snake, red lion, blue eagle, yellow badger, blue eagle, yellow badger, red lion, and green snake one by one on the ground.

“Let’s not talk about what to do next, what is the principle of passing the first round?

Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, Gryffindor, Slytherin, well, this is not in alphabetical order.

Or are the graphics just a cover, and the key is color? Blue, yellow, red, and green, it seems that no color spectrum is arranged in this order."

Rossi rubbed his forehead in distress and muttered in a low voice, "And these colors are the representative colors of the four major houses of Hogwarts!"

Wait, what did I just mention? Representatives?

An idea suddenly flashed in Rossi's mind, and he finally caught the inspiration.

The representative colors and representative animals of the four major colleges have appeared, so what is missing?

It is an element representing the four colleges!

Gryffindor represents fire, Ravenclaw represents wind, Hufflepuff represents earth, and Slytherin represents water. According to the order of the four elements, earth, fire, water, and wind, it is the blue eagle, yellow badger, and red lion.

Green snake!

If this is the case, then the first round is wind, earth, fire and water, the second round must be earth, fire, water and wind, and then it is fire, water, wind, earth, water, wind, earth and fire!

After reasoning to this point, Rossi immediately got up and walked towards the road with the yellow badger painted on it.

Facts verified that her reasoning was correct, and she reached the key point of the maze very smoothly.

It is also a floating circular platform, but in the middle of the platform, there is a closed bronze door, which is the exit of the maze.

"I finally figured it out. The person who created this secret passage must be from Ravenclaw!"

Rossi complained in his mind, "Not only are the puzzle prompts so obscure, but the blue eagle, which represents Ravenclaw, is also specifically used as the first step!"

When he approached the bronze door, Rossi discovered that the door was not completely closed. It had a gap a finger wide. And behind the gap, there was a layer of mirror-like blue.

After trying to close and open it, she couldn't help but frown:

There is obviously nothing wrong with this door, but there is a gap left unclosed. Could it be that the mouse escaped from here? And what about Blake? He obviously came in here one after another with me, but why didn't it always open?

Appear?

Is there another way through this secret passage? Or does everyone who comes in have to independently decrypt it before they can leave?

Forget it, I don’t know what his condition is, so I’d better go outside and take a look first.

Thinking of this, Rosie tried to take the umbrella out of the mirror-like blue and then retract it.

The umbrella surface was wetted by the rain in just a moment.

It seems like nothing is wrong.

Rosie opened her umbrella and walked outside.

The next second, she appeared at the foot of a small slope east of Hogsmeade.

The wind and rain howled, and the sky became dark.

Rosie pulled hard on her umbrella to prevent it from being blown away by the strong wind.

Extinguishing the light on the wand, she immediately cast a spell on herself to resist the cold. It wasn't until she felt her body warm that she moved her gaze to the place where she had just come out - a tall stone covered with moss.

Looking around with sea-blue eyes, Rossi immediately locked his sights on a dilapidated and independent abandoned house not far away.

According to the map, it is called Pedillo House.

Rosie curled up her lips and cautiously dived there.

It wasn't until Rosie got closer that she realized that the house was not only dilapidated, but also very dirty. Even in heavy rain, it was difficult to cover up the unpleasant smell inside.

Rosie choked and retched, and quickly found a handkerchief from her backpack, soaked it with rainwater, folded it up, and attached it to her mouth and nose.

Invisible, she carefully stepped through the filth and filth around the house, and finally came to the window of the room.

The room was surprisingly cleaner. A short man with sparse hair was sitting curled up on the ground with his back to the window. He kept rubbing his arms, as if he wanted to keep himself warm.

Peter Pettigrew?

Rossi was almost sure of his identity.

After observing for a moment, she quietly walked to the door of the room.

After estimating where and how far away Peter was sitting, Rosie put away the handkerchief in her palm. Then, she took out her wand, kicked open the door, and pointed the wand directly at him:
