Harry Potter's Catastrophe
Chapter 512: Care of Magical Creatures Lesson (Part 2)
The hippogriff was now a terrifying monster in the eyes of the students, and they were afraid to avoid it.
The monsters were shaking their heads angrily and spreading their powerful wings; they seemed unwilling to be restrained like this.
Many students have never seen such a big creature, and it looks very aggressive. Are you the first one to go up? Isn't that fatal?
Only a few people were still calm, except for Harry, who had seen monsters such as the Basilisk and the Troll, and they were relatively easy to accept the good-looking Hippogriff.
Of course, Malfoy and the other rich kids are also extremely disdainful. Malfoy has shares in Dragon Farm, so what kind of monsters have he never seen?
"Is there no one?" Hagrid asked, with a pleading look on his face, and then looked at Carney, who would definitely be able to handle it.
But Carney disappeared again at this time. Hagrid looked around but didn't find Carney. He must have gone somewhere where he couldn't see him.
When I looked back, only Harry stood at the front and everyone moved back.
"Well done Harry!" Hagrid praised.
"What?" Harry realized at this moment that he was standing relatively far forward.
"Okay." Harry took a deep breath.
"Come on!" Ron said from behind.
Someone behind him took a deep breath, and both Lavender and Parvati whispered: "Oh, no, Harry, think about your tea!"
Harry ignored them. He climbed over the paddock fence.
"Well done, Harry!" shouted Hagrid. "Well, let's see how you get on with that monster called Buckbeak."
He untied one of the chains, dragged Buckbeak away from his companion and removed his leather collar. All the students across the paddock seemed to hold their breath.
"Relax, okay, Harry," Hagrid said quietly, "You and it must look at each other and try not to blink. If you blink too much, the monster won't trust you..."
Harry's eyes threatened to water, but he didn't close them. Buckbeak had turned his large, pointed head and was looking at Harry with one furious orange eye.
"That's right," said Hagrid. "That's right, Harry. Now, Ju..."
Harry was reluctant to show the back of his neck to Buckbeak, but he did as he was told. He bowed briefly, then straightened up to look.
The monster still looked at him with hostility. It didn't move.
"Ah," Hagrid said, sounding worried. "Okay, back up, now. Harry, back away relaxed..."
But just then, to Harry's great surprise, the monster suddenly bent its scaly front knees and sank down, in an apparent bow.
"Well done, Harry!" Hagrid said happily, "Yes, you can touch it now! Pat its beak, pat it!"
Harry felt that if he didn't take the picture, a better gift would be lost. He walked slowly towards the monster, stretched out his hand to it, and tapped its beak several times. The monster closed its eyes lazily, as if it liked him taking pictures like this.
The whole class clapped, except Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle, who looked disappointed.
"Well, Harry," said Hagrid, "I thought he might like to let you ride him."
This was beyond Harry's wishes. He was used to riding a broomstick, but he wasn't sure whether riding a monster was the same as riding a broomstick.
"You climb up here, just behind the wing joints," Hagrid said. "Be careful not to pull off its feathers. It doesn't like you doing that..."
Harry put a foot on Buckbeak's wing and climbed onto his back. Buckbeak stood up.
Harry didn't know where to hold on; every spot in front of him was covered in feathers.
"Keep going!" shouted Hagrid, slapping the beast on the rump.
Without warning, twelve-foot wings spread out on either side of Harry; Harry caught the monster by the neck just in time as it flew upward.
This was nothing like riding a broom. The monster's wings were fluttering on both sides of him and kept touching his legs, which was uncomfortable and made everyone feel like he was about to fall off. Everyone exclaimed.
Buckbeak flew him around the paddock and then back to the ground. Although the flying was not very impressive, it looked cool riding on the back of the Hippogriff.
"Well done, Harry!" shouted Hagrid, and everyone except Malfoy, Crabbe, and Goyle cheered. "Okay, who wants to give it a try?"
All the students were inspired by Harry and entered the paddock cautiously. Hagrid untied the chains one by one, and soon there were nervous bows everywhere in the paddock.
Several times Neville ran away from his monster, which seemed unwilling to bend its knees.
"Kani, where have you been?" Only then did Hagrid realize that Kani suddenly appeared again.
"I just observed the Hippogriff at close range." Carney pinched his chin and said.
"Why didn't I see you?" Hagrid asked.
"If you can see it, then you can't observe it." Carney said, taking out his wand and using Transformation on a stone, and the next second the stone turned into a hippogriff.
"Oh, excellent transformation." Hagrid praised, "This is exactly the same as Buckbeak. Can I touch it?"
"Of course, and you don't need to bow, just start."
"If it's true, it's not a good habit." Hagrid shook his head and stroked the feathers of the transformed hippogriff, and the sound it made sounded more and more like it to him.
"It's just like the real thing, but if you mix them up, I can still tell them apart." Hagrid said confidently.
"Okay Hagrid, it's time for me to go up and have a walk myself." Carney got on his horse, slapped the horse's butt, and the Hippogriff immediately spread its wings and charged into the sky.
"Hey, that's not correct, Hippogriffs can't slap their butts." Hagrid shouted, but Carney was already flying into the sky.
A fake hippogriff easily integrated into the large family of hippogriffs, rubbing here and there.
Today’s Care of Magical Creatures lesson is about learning about hippogriffs, their habits, preferences, and understanding them. Americans have personally eaten dead polecats for hippogriffs.
Hagrid's first lesson on Care of Magical Creatures ended perfectly, which gave him a lot of confidence.
Harry and the others were still not satisfied after class was over, and reluctantly said goodbye to the Hippogriff. However, there was only one class a week, and they were looking forward to what magical animals Hagrid would bring to them in the next class.
Saying goodbye to Hagrid, Carney flew straight into the depths of the woods, passed through the ordinary woods, came to the edge of the Forbidden Forest and plunged in.
It's been a few months, and I don't know what happened to Shuren.
"Woof woof woof! Woof woof woof! Woof woof woof!" A cry came from the side of the Forbidden Forest.
Carney flew to a stop. The bark just now seemed to be that of a dog. The barking was so rapid that it must have been a deformed species. It immediately attracted Carney's attention.
