Harry Potter’s Morning Light

Chapter 2867: unforgivable secret (4)

Chapter 2867 The Unforgivable Secret (4)

The sign of the summer starry sky is the Milky Way, a band of light extending from the northeast horizon to the south horizon.

There are two bright stars on both sides of the Milky Way, one is Lyra in the west, also known as Vega α, and the other is Aquila α in the southeast, also known as Altair, they form a summer triangle with Cygnus α, as long as it is not rainy God, even in a city with distracting lights, this obvious geometric figure can be seen.

But if you want to observe the Cepheid variable star η Aquila, you have to go to a place far away from light interference. It is one of the few Cepheid variable stars visible to the naked eye. Its apparent magnitude is 3.7 to 4.4, and its photoperiod is about 7 days.

According to Henrietta's theory, the longer the period of light variation, the brighter the light emitted, but in fact, the magnitude of η Aquila and δ Cephei are similar, and even δ Cephei is brighter.

They were discovered successively in 1784 by John Goodrick, who, like Henrietta, was deaf and dumb due to fever. In the winter of 1782, he discovered β Perseus, the binary star system of the "magic star" with the eye of Medusa, and proposed the theory of eclipsing variable stars.

When the expanding yellow giant star contracts due to gravity, pressure builds up in the helium ionosphere until the radiation pressure exceeds the gravitational force, and it expands again.

This is like the tension of a liquid. Before the "balance" is broken, no matter how you look at it, the liquid will overflow, but it will not overflow because of the tension. Once the "balance" is broken, it will be out of control.

As time superimposes, the greater the pressure will accumulate, the greater the energy will be generated, and the light emitted by the variable star will become brighter.

But this kind of "candlelight" cannot measure the entire starry sky, and the square constellation and the Cepheid variable star need to be within the range of one degree of sky area.

"What were you thinking?" Snape asked her.

"I was wondering about the relationship between distance and brightness." Pomona looked at the stars in the sky and said, "Have you taken astronomy class before?"

  He didn't speak.

Actually, she was quite curious. There was a telescope by the window of the Slytherin lounge. What were they going to look at? Giant squid in the lake?

He sat down next to her and handed her a cup of pink ice cream.

If it is pink ice cream, it is easy to remind people of strawberry flavor. Honeydukes sells pink coconut ice cream, but there are no Honeydukes in Kenbridge.

Pomona took a sip, and it turned out to be fudge-flavored, with a little chopped nuts in it.

   "How do you feel now?"

"It's better." Pomona said that food does make people happy, at least she doesn't want to punch his nose now.

He stopped talking, but he also didn't eat the same ice cream as Pomona.

"Why don't you get one for yourself?" Pomona asked, looking at his empty hands.

   "Everything is pink."

"You should taste it." She scooped up a scoop of ice cream and put it to his mouth. "It tastes good, you will like it."

He hesitated, seeing that she was unwilling to compromise, so he opened his mouth and took a bite of ice cream.

"How is it?" She asked expectantly.

"Like bubble gum," he said dryly.

She thinks there is a difference between fudge and bubble gum, but she doesn't bother to correct him.

There are crushed pistachios in the ice cream, and she gathers them together and eats them, closing her eyes and savoring it like music.

"I ate that spoon just now." Snape said disappointedly.

"Do you think I'll be like a teenage girl and think it's an indirect kiss?" She said without raising her eyelids.

"That doesn't count?" He asked back.

"A kiss is a kiss, not an exchange of saliva. A kiss is used to convey love."

"Not necessarily to express love," Snape said.

"What else is there to convey?" Pomona asked.

"The Dark Lord asked us to kiss his robes," he said quietly, "for respect and loyalty."

"Have you ever kissed?" Pomona asked.

He didn't speak for a long time.

   "No." He said slowly.

"There's nothing to be ashamed of, and you don't need to hide," Pomona said.

"I thought about it, but there were too many people in the front line waiting to kiss his robes for me." Snape raised his voice a little. "I didn't."

Pomona chose to remain silent, and took another bite of ice cream.

"My mother never kissed me," Snape said again.

   "It's a pity I haven't seen my mother."

"Can you kiss my forehead?" He made an unreasonable request.

"What were you thinking?" Pomona asked incredulously, "You just **** me off!"

"Are you angry?" He asked back.

  She wants to say no!

But she still didn't say anything, and scooped up a spoonful of ice cream and ate it.

"So that's the reward?" he asked, tugging at her robe.

"Have you been kicked in the head by a unicorn again, Severus?" Pomona asked.

"A kiss is a reward, am I right?" he continued.

"of course not!"

"So what's the matter with kissing the forehead?" He said confidently.

She felt that if they continued to argue like this, their IQ would fall back to the first grade, so she kissed his forehead like a dragonfly.

   "Not so!" he said viciously.

"Then what do you want?" Pomona asked back.

   "Be serious!" he demanded.

   "Then don't move!"

  He obeyed obediently.

Pomona put the unfinished ice cream on the stone pier, then stood up and walked in front of him.

Originally he was much taller than her, but sitting like this made him shorter than her.

She parted his black hair, revealing a smooth forehead, and then she saw the always frowning brow, which was stretched at this moment, allowing her to look at it.

A wonderful world opened before her eyes, with many lacewings flying around them, their light reflected in black eyes.

The fluorescence emitted by bugs is not a warm color, but the color emitted by life. Unlike the yellow giant star, although it is a warm color, it is already heading for destruction and death.

"Close your eyes." She said softly.

  He did.

Then, like a blind person, she ran her fingers along the corners of his lips, stroking in the direction of his laughing muscles.

In the story of the Laughing Man written by Hugo, the male protagonist has undergone surgery on his face so that he can keep smiling all the time and perform on stage.

Everybody looked at him and laughed, usually people think laughing means friendliness, but…

"Are you going to kiss me?" He said with his eyes closed.

"Just a friendly kiss," she emphasized.

   "Yes." He hissed.

Then she kissed his forehead, just like a mother would kiss a child's forehead before going to bed, wishing him a good dream.

But when she was about to back away, he put his arm around her waist.

Then he opened his eyes and looked up at her.

He looks so weak, it's not decent.

But she still held his head and let him lean into her arms.

In fact, if human beings really want to do it, they can still get things done. No matter how dark a place is, you can find light, or inject light into "prison-like darkness", all you need is time and energy.

Paul thought pain could be healed with joy, was he really healed? Or cover up pain with joy?

She let go of her hand and looked down into his eyes, "Do you think the world would be better without pain?"

"No." He took her hand on his cheek "It reminds me that I'm not dreaming."

As his words fell, a puff of black smoke flew out of his shapeshifting lizard skin pocket.

It fell to the ground not far away, and then turned into the appearance of two women.

At first, Pomona thought it was the Death Eaters coming, but after she saw it clearly, she realized that the two women were dressed in "ancient" clothes, and one of them was still wearing the string of pearl necklaces on her head.

"It's Principal Fitzgerald." Severus said, looking at them.

"Who's the other guy?" Pomona asked.

"Isidora, what you did for your father is truly extraordinary..." Fitzgerald said.

"Isn't it? And Percival no longer has to worry about the traces of this magic, or emotional thoughts, I have found a way to limit all of that." Isidora said excitedly.

But Fitzgerald stopped and looked at Isidora seriously.

"You have to stop," Fitzgerald said.

But Isidora seemed not to understand, or was immersed in her own world, and continued to say happily, "Fairy Demon Silver."

"Did you tell the goblin about this?" Fitzgerald asked in surprise and seriousness.

"Don't worry, that guy doesn't know the real purpose of the 'container' at all." Isidora tried to appease Fitzgerald.

"The problem is we don't know yet what the impact of all this might be...there's a dark trail to those emotions," Fitzgerald said.

"Come on, you sound like Percival." Isidora said impatiently, "And I can tell you right now, I know what the impact will be, the source of those powers... It's like some kind of tool to gather power , although the specific mechanism is unclear, but it can strengthen my ability to use magic."

"Sounds like something a 'genius' would do." Severus laughed.

"I'm afraid I don't understand what you mean, Isidora." Fitzgerald said.

"I think we can use the power in it," said Isidora.

"A power like this is no child's play, if it is allowed to be used by the wrong people..."

"Niofer, imagine how many people we can benefit with this power. Who in this world is not suffering?"

Isidora said as she raised her wand, and "taken out" a mass of dark matter from the headmaster's heart.

"Oh~" Pomona felt disgusted, Fitzgerald also felt offended, and pushed Isidora's wand away.

Isidora put the darkness in front of her, sniffed it carefully, and then smiled, "Take a deep breath, do you feel it?"

Pomona and Severus shook their heads together, and Fitzgerald clasped his hands together, as if begging her.

"Isidora, stop now, stop all this."

"You have always been deceiving people because you are afraid of what this means, but I, I choose to embrace this power." Isidora argued vigorously.

Fitzgerald shook his head in pain.

Isidora walked away steadfastly, as if taking another path, and then the two disappeared together.

Severus took the pearl necklace from his pocket.

"I saw the principal wearing a necklace around his neck." Pomona also looked at the necklace and said.

"It's too close to be fair." Severus said, looking at the pearl necklace.

“She showed us everything because we agreed with her point of view?” Pomona asked.

"You mean, save the pain?" Severus asked.

"Pain is a personal matter." Pomona said, "Even a friend should not decide to help her remove it."

He smiled mysteriously and put the necklace back.

"Let's go, get those little monsters back, we're back to school." He said.

Pomona had no objection and disapparated with him.
