Chapter 3073: Libation Bearer (4)

Chapter 3073 Libation Bearer (4)

There is an attraction in Rome. It is said that if you put your hand into the mouth of the stone statue, the hand of a liar will be eaten by it.

But it is actually a sewer manhole cover in ancient Rome. The human face on the manhole cover is Triton, the son of Poseidon. Like his father, he used a trident as a weapon, but he also had a conch shell with which he was said to blow. The horn can raise or calm the waves and currents.

There are many similarities between ancient Roman mythology and Greek mythology, but the Romans did not copy them completely. For example, Janus, the door **** of January, was a unique door **** in ancient Rome. There are statues of him at the entrances of many ancient Roman mansions.

He usually has two faces, one holding a key and the other holding a stick. This is the difference between the customs of ancient Rome and ancient Greece. The ancient Romans valued "practicality" more, whether they were patrons or patrons. Mutual benefit is considered.

Cicero tried to transplant some Greek ideas into Latin, such as the concept of "temperance".

Some Greek philosophers have suggested that there is nothing wrong with drinking, but it should be done in moderation so that the weak and old can go home safely. People who drink appropriately and do not forget their virtues should be praised.

The Dionysus ritual in ancient Greece was a group of people holding hands, shoulder to shoulder like chains, circling around the conductor who played the role of Dionysus. There were also some people playing musical instruments and chorus, and everyone performed their duties.

In addition to being the **** of archery, Apollo is also the **** of poetry. His musical instrument is a lyre, so among those who play musical instruments, the status of playing the lyre is the highest.

The Temple of Delphi belonged to Apollo. The female priests just walked in circles around the temple without making any large movements or jumps. Their movements were simple and casual.

The Latin word for fluorescent is related to the sun, but Pomona's previous spell had nothing to do with "luminescence."

This can be understood as a kind of illusion, the purpose is to project the appearance of the moon on the wall or paper. Its accuracy is related to the observation and memory of the spell caster. The more carefully you observe the moon, the more the projected moon looks like the real moon. It is essentially the same as a lunar instrument. The difference is that you can't always carry the lunar instrument with you, and you can occasionally use it instead.

This is what Sinista taught Pomona, although Pomona didn't know where she learned it.

"Moonstone" is of course related to the moon. Although she had no hope at first and just gave it a try, the failure still made her feel frustrated.

Like Lily said, Severus was confident in his destiny, even when he was treated as a freak in Muggle school. Pomona lacked his confidence. She was not sure whether her guess was right, but he actually told Dumbledore to evacuate the students.

Rita Kister is now eager for big changes in the school...

“Are you listening?” Sen Bakar asked impatiently.

“I’m listening.” Pomona said uneasily, looking at the Hogwarts map in front of them with Bakar.

This time it is not a panoramic view of the valley, but a partial view of the castle. It is similar to what I saw last time. The infected area "doesn't look" large, and it seems that there is no need to be vigilant.

However, after careful observation, Pomona found that these infected locations were load-bearing pillars and walls. Even if she did not understand architecture, she could guess what would happen if these important and fragile places were damaged.

Just like a Muggle blasting a house, the entire building will not be blown into pieces. As long as a few important supporting points are destroyed, the self-weight of the house and the gravity of the earth will complete everything else.

Sen Bakar did not notice that although he had been looking at the "sand table", there was no classical mechanics in his time.

“I asked other people who had heard of the department you mentioned, and it was called the Moonstone Garden.” Sen Bakkar said, “But no one knew where its entrance was.”

"Thank you." Pomona said. She had not expected that these secret societies that studied ancient magic would have a continuous relationship with another secret society.

“You’re welcome, I hope this helps you,” Sen Bakkar said.

Pomona said no more, she met the bronze frog on the platform, and after it opened its mouth and "swallowed" her, the next time she appeared, she was already in the alchemy classroom.

The frog that was moved to Bakkar's Tower was in the Defense Against the Dark Arts corridor on the third floor. It had been used as decoration for many years. It was a miracle no one had gone missing for it so far, so Severus moved it to Bakar's Tower.

Pomona then walked out of the hidden entrance of the alchemy classroom, walked around the sleeping dragon statue, and came to the dark corridor. Everyone was in class during the day, making the corridor leading to the Slytherin lounge even more gloomy.

Tom Riddle may have walked by here, and now she felt shuddered when she thought of that handsome face, so she turned away and left, not feeling any warmth until the sun shone.

The next step is to continue looking for clues.

She encouraged herself, but she felt that she really had no strength. When she raised her hands, they were actually trembling.

Even though it was midsummer, Pomona rubbed her hands as if in the cold winter. Then she felt warm and a cloak was draped around her body.

 “Is it cold?” Severus said.

Pomona hid in his cloak and shook his head, then closed his eyes and leaned against him.

She enjoyed the tranquility and hoped that time would stand still, but it was obvious that this was a delusion.

“Let’s go find Miss Wharton.” He said in a cold tone, holding her hand, and quickly arrived at the platform of the History of Magic classroom.

But someone got there first. Barnaby, Ben Cube, Tonks, Thiago, and Liz were looking at the blank wall and discussing.

Pomona quickly grabbed Severus.

 “What?” he said strangely.

“How many points are you deducting from each of them?” Pomona asked.

He laughed and said, "Are you still worried about this now?"

“What are you going to do?” Pomona asked evasively.

He kept staring in that direction.

“It’s a pity that no one here knows Parseltongue,” said Severus.

“I don’t think Miss Wharton will,” said Pomona.

“That dark magic item might do it,” he said whimsically.

“How can a quill speak? It’s not a trumpet.”

After Pomona finished speaking, they were stunned at the same time.

 “Drawed!” they said together.

This is quite incredible, but didn’t the entrance to the Slytherin lounge also appear out of thin air after a silver snake arched up?

She looked at the floor on that wall, and sure enough, the carpet on that wall was gone.

“Okay, we know how they got in,” Pomona said. “We have a Quill that can do the same thing?”

Severus shook his head. "The entrance was designed by the founder of the school. We only have the authority to change the password."

Pomona remembered what Sirius said again, that Slytherin's secret room had been discovered.

Perhaps that "quill" once belonged to Slytherin.

"We can try to blow it up." Severus suddenly said, "As long as it doesn't have strong defensive magic."

"If we can sneak in, we can catch them unawares." Pomona bit her lip.

“How do you sneak in?” he asked sarcastically.

“I’m thinking about it!” she complained. “Why don’t you think about it together?”

He stood calmly leaning against a pillar nearby, as if he had already made up his mind to "attack the city."

"What if it rebounds?" Pomona said, "The more powerful it is..."

"I know." He interrupted her rudely. "This is the last resort. If you have any good ideas, think of it quickly."

Pomona then began to think hard about what she should do to sneak into the "garden".
