Harry Potter’s Natural Villain
Chapter 281 Trial (Part 2)
"The focus of this trial should only be on whether or not I slandered my student-Draco Malfoy, and the rest can be said to be trivial. After proof, it can of course become evidence of my possible crime. It even has a certain impact on the sentencing, but if the slander is not established, it can be said to be nonsense." Dumbledore defended himself first.
"As for the evidence, I actually showed it quite clearly at the award ceremony at the time. The witnesses and the physical evidence were very clear and very powerful. We still persuaded him to turn back under the circumstances at that time. Give up resistance, but I didn't expect that he would be the first to attack." Dumbledore, shaking his head, said helplessly.
"Of course, this is just my side of the word. There were many faculty members and students present at the time. I think anyone with a discerning eye can tell the truth from the false. Today, for this trial, I have once again invited the witnesses who appeared last time, with additional supplements. A few witnesses, enhance the persuasiveness of my testimony." Dumbledore explained his position and views in an orderly manner.
"The first is Mr. Crouch, please allow him to testify for me." He put his fingertips together and said in a deep voice.
"Mr. Dumbledore, please forgive me for interrupting your speech. According to the evidence provided by Mr. Lucius and some previous remarks of the defendant himself, Mr. Crouch had been tortured to a certain extent before, causing him to become unconscious. So the credibility of his testimony is open to question." Burns interrupted Dumbledore.
"Oh? Is that so?" Dumbledore glanced at Lucius, who was sitting in the dock at this time, indistinctly. His azure blue eyes flickered, but he did not reveal anything more. .
"Then I hope to ask Professor McGonagall to come up and testify for me." Dumbledore nodded and cleared his throat.
"Okay, grant your request."
Then Professor McGonagall, wearing a plain lady's black robe, walked not far behind Dumbledore to a place parallel to him.
"When Dumbledore was at school, he seldom intervened in the issue of student discipline, saying that his partiality was purely out of nothing, it would be better to say that he was very tolerant to all students and was willing to give them more opportunities. It's a kind of partiality." Professor McGonagall stated the facts without a smile, and after speaking, she pursed her lips tightly, waiting for the judgment of the others.
The members of the jury began to whisper, and most of the members nodded in approval, and seemed to agree with her statement.
"Next is the Professor of Potions at Hogwarts, Mr. Snape."
Snape, with his greasy black hair and a black robe, walked slowly from behind Dumbledore,
He took the place of Professor McGonagall.
Snape glanced at the more than fifty jury members in front of him with his gloomy eyes, and then said in a flat and straightforward tone: "As a potions professor, I don't think I have done anything illegal. The above use of The Veritaserum I received is just a potion for the seventh-year students to identify. As we all know, the components of the Veritaserum potion formula are strictly controlled, and the way I obtained them is also a regular channel. I believe that in the Ministry of Magic There is also a record in my registration record, if there is anything wrong with me in the whole incident, maybe I used this medicine to "threaten" a few disobedient students, so that they know how to respect teachers."
"Which student." The mother toad's voice sounded, looking very curious, even if it had nothing to do with the whole trial.
"Harry Potter." Snape showed a malicious smile. It seemed like a good choice if Harry Potter, who had returned to Penny's house, could be brought to trial again.
Of course, he didn't seem to know that if he did, the boy might be happy.
The jury began to whisper, and the Savior's name was still influential.
"Everyone, be quiet." Burns said solemnly, and then the somewhat noisy courtroom finally quieted down.
She then flipped through the dossier in front of her, which proved that Snape's claims were true, that he had bought the medicinal herbs at Slug Ziggs in Diagon Alley, and there were indeed notes.
"As for the use of Veritaserum, I don't know, maybe you can ask the next witness," Snape said, looking back at Moody.
The old Auror was shaking his prosthetic leg constantly, rubbing against the floor, making a harsh sound.
"Mr. Alastor Moody, please come forward and give your testimony." Burns nodded.
Just as Moody got up, was about to drag his body, and walked to the front to give his testimony, a tall man in a plain wizard robe stumbled into the courtroom, the dark door was opened, and the outside world was open. The light suddenly poured into the dark room, and many people squinted their eyes subconsciously.
Except for Moody, his magic eye was unaffected, and it was still spinning lively in his eye sockets, sizing up his eyes.
The man ran towards Dumbledore, who had not yet stepped down from the defendant's seat, and was stopped by several people.
"There are many obstacles!" Several wizards chanted spells one after another.
He tripped heavily.
"Wycliffe? What are you doing? We're in court now!" Burns said with a worried expression, obviously, she recognized the colleague in front of her.
"Ah, Azkaban was... broken by that person!" The man struggled to stand up and said tremblingly.
Dumbledore's eyebrows twitched sharply, then calmed down in an instant, and then looked at Lucius on the plaintiff's seat.
Lucius in the dock tried his best not to show any abnormality, looked forward calmly, and looked at Dumbledore's penetrating blue eyes once again without shyness.
The jury seemed to explode at once, and most of them showed a look of horror, mixed with a little daze and bewilderment.
"What's the situation now?" Dumbledore gave up looking at Lucius and hurriedly asked the man.
And the man suddenly became incoherent and stuttered, as if he couldn't figure out what to say.
"Everyone, please forgive me, this old man, for taking the first step. I will accept the outcome of the trial no matter what." Dumbledore saw that the inquiry was fruitless, and immediately got up and bowed slightly to the more than fifty jury members.
Then the old man's body began to gradually disappear under the faint light of the candle, and finally disappeared.
The old man's every move seemed resolute.
Apparition!
The restrictions on movement magic within the Ministry of Magic seemed completely ineffective to him.
