Help! I don't want to NTR the protagonist!



He wasn't stupid.

If Xander had called him and Veronica here and he was still acting like this, then it could only be to completely suppress Veronica showing her that her family couldn't help her at all and what made it even worse was that it was all true.

For his own and his family's sake, he could only turn a blind eye.

Besides, isn't Veronica Xander's fiancé?

At the end of the day, isn't this just a domestic incident?

It would be better for him not to interfere and let them solve it themselves.

Whether he truly believed that  or whether he was looking for a way to comfort himself, that was what he was going to do anyway.

Veronica clearly saw Louis Avoiding her eyes and quickly realised that there was no hope that she would be getting any help from this cheap brother 

Knowing this, Veronica just looked away.

Her brother wasn't the only person there, but Veronica had even less hope of finding any help from him.

After all, that man was Xander's new lackey 

Veronica didn't know when he appeared but she didn't like him one bit.

He was just a commoner bug he was strangely confident and Xander seemed to favour  him a lot 

In fact, other than being Xander's lackey the man hadn't done any harm to her and had in fact been quite polite but even with all this she just couldn't bring herself to like him.

The strange young man with a pair of snake-like eyes. Every time he smiled at her it made her skin crawl.

It was deeply unsettling.

Xander was still watching Veronica's actions at the side, and he was furious.

Even after confronting her directly like this, Veronica still didn't want to give in.

Did this girl take his words as a joke?

"Veronica! I am your fiancé, the son of a count! You are just  the daughter of a baron!"

Hearing this Veronica finally lost her temper.

"Flirting! You keep saying I'm flirting but I've been loyal to you this entire time. Me and Lucius are just friends .. w-when.. when was it your position to determine my friends…"

As Veronica spoke more the initial anger in her voice faded as she slowly became more timid until the last words only escaped her mouth as a whisper 

Veronica's head looked down as she spoke and she just only occasionally glancing up slightly.

But that's when her heart skipped a beat.

His eyes burned with rage as a horrifying aura emerged around him.

Seeing this Veronica's heart skipped a beat. She just wanted to make friends with someone that actually understood her, was all this really such a drastic crime 

Unfortunately for her, Xander didn't see it that way. In his mind Veronica was determined to go against his will so he could only be taught a lesson 

Sparks of lightning wrapped around his hand as he raised his arm.

"Veronica, remember, you were the one who caused all this!"

Louis frowned, not wanting to look at the scene whilst Oscar just watched at the side apathetically.

But before Xander could  bring  his hand down, the situation  changed rapidly 

Boom!

Out of nowhere, a leg wrapped in thin coating of mana appeared kicking Xander onto the floor!

The unprotected Xander could cry out as he helplessly rolled on the floor 

Louis and Oscar at the side were instantly alarmed, getting on guard in an instant but the culprit behind all this just ignored them.

Standing beside Veronica, he just looked down on the ugly sight of Xander writhing on the floor with a pair of cold red eyes.

"To think you would really raise your hand against your own fiancé. You really are trash!"

Hearing the disdainful words addressed at him, Xander was instantly enraged.

He got up, with a fire burning in his chest ready to curse and attack the person that dared to attack him

But when Xander  looked up, all the words he wanted remained stuck in his throat instead all that escaped was a muffled groan 

"Ugh!"

Right in front of him was a face that seemed to even plague him in his nightmares.

A feverishly handsome face that seems to be sculpted by the gods themselves  and  eyes that seemed to burn like an inferno

"L-Lucius what are you doing here?"

Several minutes ago

By now, Lucius had gotten used to the rumours about him floating around in the academy.

So when he entered the academy and could hear the murmurings of the people around him he didn't pay much attention to it but suddenly the words nearby caught his ears.

"That's him? The famous gangster?"

A lady nearby was whispering and questioning what she saw.

"Are you sure it's him ? He doesn't look anything like a gangster. In fact, he's rather handsome… even quite noble.."

As the lady said these words a faint blush appeared on her face 

Hearing this Lucius's ears twitched as a faint smile appeared on his face.

Normally he wouldn't pay attention to these my King's but his faint vanity caused him to pay attention to these compliments .

Faced with this, Lucius couldn't help but sigh 

Truly, it is a good thing to be handsome!

But Lucius's happiness didn't last long as the next words caused Lucius's face to drop 

Hearing the words of her friend next to her,  a lady nearby suddenly scolded her.

"Don't fall for his Handsome, looks it's all a facade! I heard that this young man is nothing but a shameless philanderer. It was that thanks to his excellent looks he has a messy relationship with a lot of women. The lives of women he had ruined were not few, even noble women weren't spared from being played by that guy's hand. It's even said that the guy got a girl pregnant back home and even had a daughter, but he abandoned them and ran away to the academy!"

Hearing this, Lucius was shocked!

He was so shocked he froze on the spot.
