To be honest, from the first contact last year, Tver basically guessed Snape’s movements.

So he was so complacent that he never took the professor to heart.

But to his surprise, Snape almost guessed his secret just by relying on a book.

A secret he couldn’t let Dumbledore know yet.

All I can say is that he really deserves to be Snape. It seemed that he had indeed underestimated him before.

Tweel silently increased Snape’s attention in his mind, but remained calm on the surface.

He took the book and flipped through a few pages. There were a lot of his notes on it, but it was a little old.

Because this is just a basic popular science book, he read it several years ago.

“To be honest, I didn’t expect Professor Snape to have such in-depth research on Muggles. Or do you have an ulterior motive?”

Tver asked back with a smile while holding up the book.

Snape’s face turned visibly worse, and you could even see a trace of anger in his eyes.

Seeing this expression, Tver was a little confused.

Snape has always been cold and indifferent. Didn’t he just ask the same question in the same words, how could he still arouse anger?

Wait, Muggles… no way. Did Snape study Muggle history specifically for Lily?

(This paragraph does not exist in the original book. I wrote this specifically to, um, add a setting for Snape to understand Muggles.)

“Aren’t you very smart? Why don’t you guess if I have an ulterior motive?” Snape’s voice became cold and stern, as sharp as the cold wind in winter.

Seeing this performance, Tver knew that he had guessed correctly.

But he didn’t dare to tease him any longer. Everyone had an untouchable part, and it would be too unethical to poke Snape’s pain points.

He was also afraid that it would be bad if Snape really pulled out the wand and attracted Dumbledore’s attention.

“We all have a purpose, don’t we?” Turville put the book away so as not to further anger Snape. “You have it, and of course I will have it too.”

“Then what is your purpose?”

“Will you reveal your purpose?”

Snape hesitated, knowing that he had asked a stupid question.

“But since you stay at Hogwarts, I am,” he paused, “responsible for protecting the students here!”

Tweel looked at him in surprise. He could say such a thing. Is this the same Snape who was feared in the school?

“At least compared to you, I shouldn’t have shown any signs of harming students, right?”

He opened his arms openly, as if letting Snape look at him.

Not seeing the answer he wanted from Turville’s eyes, Snape’s cheek muscles twitched.

“Nothing now, doesn’t mean there won’t be anything in the future.” He slowly walked to Tver.

“Don’t think that because you have Dumbledore’s tolerance, you think that I will relax my vigilance against you.”

“On the contrary, I will always pay attention to your every move. Once I discover your problem, I will solve it without hesitation.”

“So, it’s best to be your Defense Against the Dark Arts professor and don’t go out of your way,” he gritted his teeth, “and stay away from that boy.”

Turville looked at Snape in amusement.

He could understand Snape’s responsibility to maintain order in the castle and protect Harry.

But the problem is, there is a Dumbledore in the castle, and he won’t do such a thing even if his brain is out of control!

What’s more, he had no intention of disrupting the order of the castle, let alone harming Harry.

“If you want to kill me, Professor Snape will have to improve his strength a lot. You are not good enough now.” Tver said with a trace of mockery in his eyes.

Snape’s pupils suddenly shrank.

He knew that he had not done anything for many years and his fighting skills were already rusty.

The black magic that he is best at has never been touched again.

For so many years, his mind has been on potions, and the fact that he can develop this second talent to this level already shows his extraordinary talent.

But unless the opponent is willing to drink the unique-tasting potion, there is no way to increase the combat ability.

Especially when facing a strong opponent like Tver.

Feeling a sense of crisis, Snape also raised Tver’s attention in his heart to a level second only to Voldemort.

Please forgive me, it’s for protection this time, he thought sadly.

“Then just wait, I will let you see my true strength!”

After saying that, Snape shook the hem of his robe angrily and floated towards the office like a bat.

However, after exiting the door, they found Harry and the three of them trembling in fear at the corner.

They were still carrying the cleaning tools, but they didn’t

Alfred’s mop was dripping, and Ron’s rag wasn’t fully wrung out.

The three of them were hiding in the shadows, as if they wanted the night to hide them.

It’s just that this approach is obviously insulting Snape’s intelligence.

“If you don’t say hello to the professor, five more points will be deducted from Gryffindor and Slytherin.” Snape glanced at him and strode away from here.

Malfoy didn’t dare to argue any more this time, he lowered his head and argued quietly with Ron.

“It’s all your fault, I told you to clean the glass again!”

“I gave you the rag and you didn’t want it, so what’s the use of saying this now?!”

Harry’s little face was full of helplessness. He had long been used to the two people arguing and working at the same time.

“Hurry in, otherwise it will be bad if you miss the curfew time.”

The two of them stopped talking and followed Harry into the office.

“Professor, we have cleaned the first floor. You can go and check it out.”

Tver looked at the time – half past nine.

That is, it took an hour.

This time is in line with his estimate.

Because of the existence of magic, the castle actually doesn’t have much dust or stains at all, and it only needs a simple scrubbing to clean it up.

“In that case, put your things away and go back.”

“Ah?” The three of them opened their mouths in unison.

“Aren’t you going to check?” Malfoy asked in surprise.

Tver smiled brightly and gently.

“I always have extraordinary trust in you and am very willing to believe what you say.”

After hearing this, the three people sniffed in emotion and expressed their gratitude to Tver.

“Thank you Professor for your trust!”*3

“Okay, put your things away and go back quickly.”

Afterwards, they quickly put the things back in their original corners, said goodbye to the professor and left the office.

They were silent for a while on the way back to the lounge.

“Does this mean that our confinement can be relaxed a little?” Ron’s eyes lit up.

Malfoy’s face was happy, but when he saw that it was his opponent’s suggestion, he immediately frowned.

“Isn’t that betraying the professor’s trust? How could you have such an idea?!”

“Just relax a little bit, it doesn’t mean I won’t clean anymore!”

“Stop the noise!” Harry suddenly shouted loudly.

Ron and Malfoy were startled, and they stopped and looked at Harry.

“Didn’t you hear it? There was a very cold and vicious voice!”

Harry looked in the direction of the sound – it was a wall.

“What? Where is the sound?” Ron scratched his head in confusion.

“It’s coming from this wall!”

Harry pointed at the wall not far from them. The wall, which was originally very ordinary, combined with his words, looked very strange under the light of the torch.

“But…but I didn’t hear any sound!” Malfoy was so scared that his teeth chattered.

“How is that possible? It’s obvious!” Harry raised his voice angrily, “He’s saying things like ‘tear you apart’ and ‘kill you’!”

Even Ron was trembling with fear now.

“Such words are not something that can be said normally, right?”

“Are you stupid? Is it normal for a wall to talk?!” Malfoy pointed at the wall angrily.

“My dad said that things that can talk but can’t see their brains must be kept far away.”

“What a coincidence, my dad also said something similar.” Ron agreed in surprise.

“Then let’s run!” Malfoy shouted.

Seeing the two of them running in panic, Harry scratched his head in confusion.

“The direction of the sound seems to be moving towards them?”
