Hiding in Hogwarts as a professor
Chapter 435
The golden fence door opened again, and after stepping out of the elevator, a quiet corridor appeared in front of Tver.
The corridor was paved with a thick purple-red carpet, and his leather shoes made no sound when he stepped on it.
Step by step, I passed one shiny wooden door after another. On each door there was a small sign with the name and position of the person in the room.
The entire corridor is like a tunnel in the deep sea, and these wooden doors are the mouths of sea monsters ready to devour people. The quiet and heavy atmosphere suppresses the hearts of everyone walking here.
The majesty, complexity and inscrutability of the Ministry of Magic are clearly displayed in this corridor.
But Tver was as relaxed as if he were walking at home, and even looked at the house numbers passing by with interest.
“Barty Crouch, Senior Under-Minister of Magic.”
“Percy Weasley, Assistant Minister of Magic.”
as well as–
“Cornelly Fudge, Minister for Magic.”
Just as Tver came to the door, a figure suddenly opened the door.
“Teach…professor?”
An expression of joy appeared on Percy’s face for a moment, but he quickly covered it up when he thought that he was in the Ministry of Magic.
“Good morning, Percy.” Twil just nodded cooperatively.
“I have something I need to tell Secretary Fudge. Is he in the office?”
“Here I am.”
Percy hesitated for a moment, and considering that even Fudge probably knew the reason why Chitwell was here, he made way.
Fudge, who was about to go out, suddenly stopped and looked doubtfully at Percy standing at the door and Tver who suddenly appeared.
“Tver Foley!” A trace of irritation appeared on his face.
Now he is almost in trouble in the Ministry of Magic. If he didn’t have the identity of a minister left, which can intimidate many employees in the ministry, otherwise he wouldn’t even be able to keep this office!
In Fudge’s eyes, although Tver rarely caused trouble for him directly, the group of people who caused trouble for him were closely related to Tver!
Therefore, even Tver was hated by him!
However, considering that Percy, the caring little assistant, was still here, he restrained his anger and looked up at Twil expressionlessly.
“What are you doing here?”
“I am now the British representative of the Wizards’ Federation. I am here to inform you of the Federation’s latest revised bill and the duties that will be performed.”
“Federation?” Fudge was stunned for a moment, and he didn’t care about being angry with Tver anymore.
Turville became the British representative because Dumbledore agreed to step down as President of the Federation as the only condition, and Fudge agreed to this.
It’s just that the Federation generally rarely delegates its duties to the Ministry of Magic, especially the revision of bills. He has never heard of such a thing since he took office.
“Yes, the Federation decided to strengthen the liaison mechanism with the Muggle government, so…”
“Wait!” Fudge hesitated, considering that if he messed up the Federation’s affairs, Barty would probably have another excuse to attack him.
“I still have things to do now, so, Percy, you sit here with Foley for a while, and we’ll talk about it when I come back.”
He glanced at the time and saw that it was already half past seven, so he gave Percy a spying look on Tver and left in a hurry.
“What is Fudge doing in such a hurry? I remember Harry’s interrogation doesn’t start until nine o’clock, right?”
As soon as the door was closed, Tver asked curiously while looking at Fudge’s office.
There is nothing special about Fudge’s spacious office. The most eye-catching things are the medals hanging on the wall and the photos of him and ministers from various countries.
“Fudge moved the time forward by an hour, and also changed the location of the interrogation, intending to catch Harry and the others off guard.”
Percy explained helplessly, then took out the tea leaves that Fudge had given to distinguished guests, and skillfully made tea for Tver.
“…That’s all Fudge’s situation is.”
Tver sat down leisurely. If he hadn’t sat on Fudge’s chair, he would have been as unscrupulous as if he were in his own office.
“So there is no need for you to stay with Fudge any longer, lest your relationship with your family and Penello get worse and worse.”
Percy had some stiff arguments with other members of the Weasley family because of Fudge, and in order to better lurk around Fudge, he resolutely refused to let Penello enter the Ministry of Magic.
Because of these two things, Fudge trusts and appreciates Percy more, but the relationship between Percy and his relatives and friends inevitably deteriorates.
This is what Tver does not want to see.
It would be bad for Percy if he became obsessed with power and broke up with the family.
Interfering, but now that Percy was doing it because of his needs, it made him feel a little guilty.
“It’s okay…” Percy’s hand while pouring tea paused, “There’s no turning back. Since I’ve decided to be an undercover agent next to Fudge, I’ve already anticipated today’s situation.”
“But there’s a chance of redemption, and Fudge doesn’t deserve it.”
“It’s worth it.” Percy’s voice was calm and clear, and even the action of making tea was much crisper.
“I know the inside story of Harry being attacked by dementors, and I also know that Umbridge will enter Hogwarts to interfere with Dumbledore, and Fudge will interfere with the work of the Order of the Phoenix, both internally and externally.”
“We also know that Fudge intends to use the Ministry of Magic and the wizarding community’s desire for peace and tranquility to incite everyone to isolate Dumbledore and Barty Crouch.”
“And all of this is due to me lurking next to Fudge!”
Tver, who knew some plots, could actually predict these things.
However, as he interferes more and more in the world, more and more changes occur, so I am not sure that Fudge must be acting according to the plot pattern.
And Fudge’s movements are related to whether Barty Crouch can surpass Scrimgeour and become Minister of Magic next year!
Therefore, Percy’s work is really indispensable to Tver’s side…
Tver looked at him silently, and after a while, he said: “Aren’t you sad? You betrayed your relatives and friends, your family and girlfriend are sad because they don’t understand, and the people who love you and the people you love have suffered because of it. Inner hurt…”
“That’s why I have to do what I should do and protect them.”
Percy looked at Twil with a smile, his voice was gentle and strong, and the will in his eyes was unbreakable.
“I know I did it for them. Not only am I not sad, I am also full of strength.”
“I understand,” Tver picked up the teacup, “and thank you for everything you have given.”
Percy smiled and raised a teacup, gestured to Tver, and the two clinked their glasses.
“You’re welcome.”
