Hogwarts behind-the-scenes big boss

Chapter 26: Luna Lovegood (10/10)

Moriarty grabs The Quibbler.

This magazine needs to be turned upside down to read properly.

The picture on the cover, Moriarty saw, was a poorly drawn caricature of Cornelius Fudge.

Moriarty recognized him by the dark yellow-green hat on his head.

Fudge held his wand in one hand and a wizard's hat in the other.

The caption on the comic reads: How far is Fudge from taking over Hogwarts?

Minister of Magic Cornelius Fudge has been elected for his fifth year and has denied that he has any plans to take over Hogwarts.

Fudge always insisted that he only wanted to "peacefully cooperate" with our Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

But is this really the case?

Sources close to the Ministry of Magic recently revealed that Fudge's strongest ambition is to control Hogwarts, and he will not hesitate to use force if necessary.

"It wouldn't be the first time," said a Ministry insider, "that his friends called him Cornelius Fudge, the 'Professor Killer'.

I wish you could hear what he said when he thought no one was around. Oh, he was always talking about those old professors he killed. The ones he threw into the water and drowned, the ones who were pushed down from the stairs and fell to death.

Those who were poisoned to death, and those who were made into pies and baked..."

Lilith saw this report from behind Moriarty and laughed unkindly.

Moriarty exchanged a look with her full smile, and the two burst into laughter again.

Fudge is a fool who is greedy for power, but he does not have the courage to attack the professors of Hogwarts.

When the Daily Prophet bombarded Dumbledore, the naysayer clearly fired on Fudge.

The choice of Quibbler editor-in-chief Xenophilius Lovegood has been justified.

"He supports Dumbledore, so we are on the same side."

Moriarty to Marcus.

"You can go and talk to him. No, I will go there myself."

Moriarty said as he stood up from the recliner.

"Gump supports the Daily Prophet, I support the Quibbler!"

"Originally I planned to open a newspaper, but now that I have the naysayer, it saves me a lot of steps."

"Do you still remember?" Lilith frowned slightly and couldn't help but said: "A few years ago, I played devil's advocate and said that you were a careerist and the mastermind behind the scenes!"

"He was just taking advantage of my affection at the time, but the situation is different now," Moriarty waved his hand nonchalantly, "I believe Xenophilius Lovegood will make the right choice."

Lilith thoughtfully fetched a coat for Moriarty. Autumn was gradually approaching and the weather was getting colder.

"Shall I go with you? If you cooperate with the Quibbler, I can help you solve many legal problems."

Moriarty, fully dressed, winked at Lilith and said with a smile: "It's so convenient to have the help of the Chief Lawyer of Justice."

Lilith raised her eyebrows proudly, but her ears turned red.

"Sir," said Marcus, "we have found out that Xenophilius Lovegood lives in the village of Ottery St. Catchpole."

"Very good, let's go."

Moriarty and Lilith took Marcus and apparated to a breezy hillside.

I saw the beautiful scenery of this small village.

Viewed from a high distance, the village looks like a collection of small toy houses scattered among the clouds in the huge beams of light that slant toward the ground.

Moriarty saw a crooked house in the village.

That's the Weasley family's Burrow.

Ron was brought back to the country by Lockhart, and the curse of the Weasley family was slowly being lifted.

This made the Weasley family very grateful to Lockhart.

Moriarty was still a little concerned about what the Egyptian princess said about the Weasley family.

"We'd better go to the mountain ahead and look for it."

A strong gust of wind blew over, and Lilith put her hands in the shape of a trumpet to her mouth.

They apparated a few miles further north.

"Look! There!"

Marcus said, pointing to a very strange house.

On the top of the mountain they had just arrived, the house looked like a huge black column, with a ghostly moon hanging behind it in the afternoon sky.

“What a weird architectural style.”

Lilith wiped her hair that was blown by the wind and commented.

"It should be here," Moriarty strode forward. "The architectural style is consistent with the magazine style."

The three of them walked to the courtyard gate.

Three hand-painted signs were nailed to the ruined courtyard gate.

Block One: "The Quibbler" Editor-in-Chief: X. Lovegood.

Piece 2: Please pick out a bunch of mistletoe yourself.

Block 3: Don’t touch the airship Li.

"I saw a very wonderful scene."

Lilith stared at the sign and said coldly that she was not used to Lovegood's style.

Marcus turned his head this way and that.

Moriarty guessed that he was looking at the various exotic plants in the yard.

There is a bush full of orange-red radish-shaped fruits.

There are also knotty vines, old crabapple trees, and mistletoe corollas filled with small red fruits and large canopies decorated with white beads.

Moriarty pushed open the creaking courtyard door, walked in, and knocked on the heavy black door three times.

In less than ten seconds, the door opened.

Xenophilius Lovegood stood there, barefoot, wearing what seemed to be a stained nightgown, his long, marshmallow-like white hair dirty and messy.

"What? What is it? Who are you? Oh no - you are? Moriarty?? Slytherin?"

He said in a sharp, complaining voice. He might not have reacted at first, but then he looked carefully at the person in front of him.

"It's me. I'm glad you recognized me."

Moriarty said politely.

"Can you please let us in to talk? The wind is too strong."

"Uh - of course, of course. Hurry."

Xenophilius was obviously so surprised that he was at a loss.

As soon as the three of them crossed the threshold, Xenophilius slammed the door.

Moriarty looked around, and the layout and furnishings inside were simply the weirdest style he had ever seen.

Lilith frowned as she looked at it.

I thought that I would never allow such a style in my home.

Of course, the premise is with Moriarty's home.

"It's best to go upstairs." Xenophilius now realized what he was doing and said happily.

He led the way up, followed by Moriarty, and then the three of them saw that the room above seemed to be both a living room and a workroom.

A huge wooden thing is making noise.

It looks like a lot of gears that rotate by magic. It looks like a cross between a workbench and a bunch of old shelves.

There seemed to be someone behind it, with only a trace of white hair showing.

"Please don't dislike the home of a single father and his daughter. This is also the editorial office of a naysayer."

Xenophilius was a little embarrassed and waved his hands around.

But I still said it openly,

"I have a sense of déjà vu as I return to the Room of Requirement." Moriarty smiled and shook his head, "It doesn't matter, the focus of our conversation is to play devil's advocate."

"Wow--"

A small figure appeared behind the wooden guy.

"Dad, who is here?"

A little girl came out.

She has unkempt, dirty, waist-length blond hair.

The color of her eyebrows is very light, and her eyes are a little bulging outward, which gives her a constant expression of surprise.

What caught Lilith's attention even more was that she was wearing a necklace made of butterbeer corks.

What caught Moriarty's attention was her eyes.

The beauty of other people's blue eyes can be described as a sea, or a whole blue sky.

Her eyes are very light blue.

His eyes are clear and ethereal.

Like a mirror.

You can see your own soul when you look into her eyes.

Xenophilius walked towards Luna, then turned and smiled at Moriarty: "My daughter, Luna."

"This year's new student at Hogwarts, Luna Lovegood." He added as if he remembered.

Seeing Moriarty kissing and nodding, he said to Luna: "They are guests at home."

Then he spoke the names of Moriarty's three people smoothly.

"I've been paying attention to you."

A harmless smile appeared on Xenophilius's face.

"Magical Beastologist, Mr. Flint."

"Founder of Justice Law, leader of the law, Miss Pillivick."

"The only direct descendant of the legendary Slytherin family and the current head of the family, Mr. Moriarty."

After hearing these words, Luna quickly ran out and brought three stools.

"Please take a seat."

she said loudly.

"By the way, there are a lot of bugs bothering you." She said as she moved the stool next to Lilith.

"What?" Lilith asked in surprise, Luna had already turned around and walked behind the wooden guy.

Xenophilius explained: "Harming flies... they are invisible and will float into your ears and mess up your brain."

She slapped the air with both hands, as if trying to drive away large invisible moths.

Lilith simply turned her head away, pointed at the wooden guy and said, "What is that?"

"A combination of a typewriter and a printing press. I asked Mr. Arthur Weasley from next door to make it."

Moriarty said approvingly: "Under difficult conditions and simple facilities, you have created excellent works one after another. I heard that you accepted Marcus' invitation. What do you want to gain?"

Xenophilius originally listened very usefully, but he didn't want Moriarty to get straight to the point.

"Then I'll tell you the truth." Xenophilius took a long breath.
