Chapter 15 Not good! A student fell from the building!
Kyle's morning exercise program was delayed because of his chance encounter with Hagrid.
When he came out of the Forbidden Forest, the sun had completely risen. The sunlight shone through the gaps in the clouds, coating the entire Hogwarts Castle with a layer of pale gold.
After completing one hundred squats, Kyle gave up his plan to run ten kilometers and chose to go back to the castle for breakfast.
With yesterday's experience, Kyle did not plan to go to the auditorium to eat the Western-style breakfast that he was not used to, but took a familiar route to a wide stone corridor under the castle.
The surroundings were brightly illuminated by torches, and they were decorated everywhere with delightful pictures, chiefly of food.
Kyle stopped in front of a picture of a huge silver bowl filled with fruit, stretched out his index finger and gently scratched the big green pear.
The pear squirmed, chuckled, and suddenly turned into a big green doorknob.
Behind the door is the kitchen that Kyle loved to see.
To Kyle's surprise, besides the very kind house elves, there was also a student in the kitchen.
The student who was caught eating secretly in the kitchen smiled shyly at Kyle and explained: "Well, today is the day when owls deliver letters. The owls will make a mess in the breakfast hall later..."
Kyle understood why the other party appeared here, and stretched out his hand to the other party in a friendly manner: "Hello, I am Kyle Dumbledore."
"Dumbledore?" The other party's eyes widened in surprise. After being stunned for a while, he realized what he was doing and held Kyle's hand. "I am Cedric Diggory, from Hufflepuff House.
"
Only then did Kyle take stock of the other person's appearance.
Cedric was tall and very handsome, with long black hair and bright gray eyes.
Because it was our first meeting, the atmosphere in the kitchen was a bit awkward.
Kyle did not continue talking to Cedric, but called the house elves, and skillfully directed the house elves to prepare today's breakfast according to his requirements.
"Cut the barbecued pork into small pieces, mince the onion and ginger, add soy sauce and salt and mix it into the filling!"
"Okay! Dear Mr. Dumbledore!" A house elf pointed at the kitchen utensils in front of him. The kitchen knives and other kitchen utensils immediately followed Kyle's instructions and automatically processed the ingredients.
"Chop the raw shrimps into small pieces with a knife, then use the back of the knife to pound them into a shrimp paste. Add the bamboo shoots, fatty pork, celery, shrimp cubes and ginger and stir them together. Let's make shrimp dumplings!"
"Yes! Sir!"
Because of Kyle, the scene in the kitchen is particularly lively.
Cedric watched everything in front of him curiously, and the aroma wafting out of it suddenly made him feel that the jam bread in his hand no longer smelled good.
Not long after, a variety of dishes were served to the kitchen table one after another.
Kyle looked at the shrimp dumplings, red rice sausage, steamed pork ribs, boat porridge, barbecued pork buns and other familiar Cantonese morning tea snacks in front of him, and he felt very good.
It had been a long time since he had had Cantonese-style morning tea. It had been ten years since time travel.
Uh, you said there are Cantonese-style teahouses in Chinatown in New York?
Sorry, Kyle has never tasted the Chinese food there, but he thinks it is not authentic at all and has no taste of his hometown.
"Come and eat together." Kyle pushed a plate of snacks in Cedric's direction.
As a greedy Hufflepuff badger, Cedric had been waiting for Kyle's words for a long time.
"Well, I'm curious, where did you learn to cook these things?" Cedric asked after swallowing a shrimp dumpling.
"I learned it by myself," Kyle blew on the steaming tea in the teacup and spoke slowly, "You may not believe it, but I was found by Professor Dumbledore when I was wandering on the street, and then I was picked up.
.”
Cedric didn't expect to hear such an answer, and looked at Kyle with some guilt, as if he felt that he had asked a very presumptuous question.
Kyle waved his hand indifferently, "Actually, the wandering life is not as hard as you think, but it is quite interesting."
Of course, the luxury of life is based on the selfless dedication of the street gangsters in New York.
If it were a six-year-old child with no special abilities wandering around, it would be fine if he didn't starve to death.
"Really?" Cedric looked confused. He didn't really believe what Kyle said, but the happy smile on Kyle's face didn't look like he had suffered a lot.
Seeing Cedric's appearance, Kyle shrugged, "You will know once you see the secret stronghold I built during my wanderings."
After hearing what Kyle said, Cedric suddenly became interested, "I'm looking forward to visiting your stronghold."
The children of the Dumbledore family have a distinguished background and should have lived a wealthy and carefree life, but why did they end up living on the streets?
Cedric was really curious about Kyle's bizarre experience.
However, exploring the truth behind the matter will be left to later, and now he has to say goodbye to Kyle because his first class this morning is about to start.
The two separated at the kitchen door, and Cedric turned down a corridor and headed towards the Potions classroom.
Kyle planned to go to the eighth floor of the castle to report to Dumbledore that the gamekeeper he appointed was secretly raising forbidden magical creatures in the Forbidden Forest.
But before he could reach the grand staircase outside the auditorium on the first floor, Kyle met the person he was looking for.
"Have you had a good time at Hogwarts?" Dumbledore said with a gentle smile.
"Coming to Hogwarts feels like returning home. Everyone here is talented and speaks well. I like it here very much!"
After hearing Kyle's answer, Dumbledore always felt that something was wrong.
Then he remembered something again. Behind the half-moon-shaped lenses, he stared at Kyle's eyes with scrutiny:
"I heard from Professor McGonagall in the morning that a student fell from the building. But when we rushed to the lawn under the window of Professor McGonagall's office, we found nothing."
Kyle was stunned for a moment. Could it be that he climbed the wall and was seen by Professor McGonagall?
Dumbledore's eyes glowed with a faint blue light. For some reason, Kyle always felt as if his secrets were lost in front of these eyes.
Kyle didn't know if wizards had some kind of mind-reading method, but even if there was such magic, it should be denied.
"Is the student who fell from the building okay?"
"Looking at how he looks now, he should be fine." When he said this, Dumbledore stared at Kyle without blinking.
"It's good that he's fine," Kyle continued to talk with Dumbledore without changing his expression.
Then Kyle remembered what Hagrid had asked him to do, "Ah, by the way, Professor, I have something to tell you."
"What's the matter? Tell me."
Kyle pulled Dumbledore's sleeve and motioned for him to lean down, "Hagrid has a three-headed dog!"
Dumbledore straightened up and raised his eyebrows, "Three-headed dog? How old is it?"
"Well, he's about the same height as Hagrid."
