Hogwarts Emerald

Chapter 28 The twins who are not human

On Saturday morning, the students who had been busy all week were sleeping in, and even Hogwarts became lazy.

Ada was rolling on the bed. She struggled to get up and changed her clothes sleepily. She left the lounge without disturbing Angelina and Aaliyah who were sleeping soundly.

The auditorium seemed a little deserted, with people gathering in twos and threes to have breakfast. Ada greeted the Gryffindors passing by. Since Professor McGonagall talked to her, Ada had more interactions with her classmates.

After breakfast, Ada walked around the castle, and she continued to look for the "safe house". Taking two boys to the girls' bathroom every three days is not a long-term solution after all.

After wandering around for a while, Ada didn't find her favorite target, so she had to wander towards the library alone.

In the library, Mrs. Pince was "patrolling" with a feather duster in her hand, and there were not many students reading. Ada walked through the rows of bookshelves and stopped at the Defense Against the Dark Arts bookshelf. Ada felt someone staring at her and turned around to meet Mrs. Pince's eyes.

"I won't go to the restricted area, ma'am," Ada said with a smile.

Mrs. Pince did not respond to Ada. After she glanced at Ada, she turned and left. But she still looks at Ada from time to time.

Ada took a book from the bookshelf and found a random place to sit down. Occasionally, people would discuss in a low voice in the library, but overall it was very quiet. Intimidated by the "power" of the feather duster in Mrs. Pince's hand, everyone was quite aware of it.

Around ten o'clock, the twin brothers also came to the library. The two brothers walked directly to Ada, and then lay down next to Ada, one on the left and one on the right, continuing their unfinished sleep.

After a while, Ada's biological clock reminded her on time: it was time to eat. Ada raised her head and glanced at the clock. It was already past eleven o'clock. She closed the book and woke up the twins who were still sleeping.

"Um...what's wrong..." Fred asked drowsily, rubbing his eyes.

"We're going to eat. After dinner, we have to go to the bathroom to practice spells." Ada stood up and walked to Mrs. Pince to borrow books.

"Oh... okay..." George also stood up and left with Ada. He didn't wake up and bumped into the table several times along the way.

At almost two o'clock in the afternoon, the three people left the castle. They were going to meet Hagrid, which was an appointment they had made at the Quidditch pitch.

The three of them arrived at the edge of the Forbidden Forest, where Hagrid's cabin was. There was also a giant crossbow and a pair of rubber galoshes placed in front of the door. Judging from the size, they could tell at a glance that these items belonged to Hagrid.

The twins looked towards the Forbidden Forest, both of them full of yearning for the Forbidden Forest. When school first started, the two of them wanted to explore the Forbidden Forest. However, the castle was too big, and exploring the castle hindered the two brothers from going to the Forbidden Forest to explore.

Fred, who withdrew his gaze, walked to the wooden door and knocked on the door. Several low barks of dogs came from the house. Fred said: "Hagrid, Hagrid, here we come."

Hagrid opened the wooden door, revealing his huge body, and behind him was a fierce-looking black hound. The hound wants to get out, but the chain attached to its collar stifles its yearning for "freedom."

Hagrid let the three of them into the cabin. This cabin had only one room, with the kitchen, living room and bedroom all in one place. The large bed in the corner fits Hagrid's body shape very well, and everything in the room is also large-sized.

There is a copper kettle sitting in the brazier, and the water has already boiled. Hagrid first poured the boiling water from the copper pot into a large teapot, and then used the teapot to give each of Ada and the others a glass of water.

"Drink some hot water to get rid of the cold." Hagrid said enthusiastically. He turned around and took out some rock biscuits and put them on the dinner plate.

While Hagrid was busy, George whispered in Ada's ear: "If you don't want to change your teeth, don't try it."

Upon hearing this, Ada suddenly became interested in the rock cake. The rock cake looked a bit rough and the appearance was not satisfactory. There were some raisin-like things sprinkled on top for decoration. It looked really unappetizing. .

Ada picked up a piece from the dinner plate, and it felt a little hard. The rock pie in her hand gave Ada the feeling of holding a brick rather than a pastry.

"Have a try, Ada. My craftsmanship is quite good." After seeing this, Hagrid enthusiastically offered the rock biscuits to Ada. "If you like it, take more with you when you leave. You study so hard. , you should eat more to replenish your brain power..."

Feeling the pastry as hard as a rock in her hands, Ada kept cursing herself in her heart: Damn it! Let your hands be cheap! Make you curious! Why do you have such a short memory!

Unable to dismount, Ada put the rock biscuit into her mouth and tried it gently, but it did not bite.

Fred and George held the cups and wanted to laugh but did not dare to laugh. They motioned to Ada to drink harder and take a bigger sip. The two brothers looked at each other and understood each other's intentions: they wanted to hold a grand funeral for Ada's front teeth!

Hagrid's hound kept barking from the moment the three people entered the cabin. Hagrid walked over and loosened its chain.

As soon as Hagrid's eyes left, Ada immediately put the rock cake in the pocket of her school robe and pretended that she had finished eating. She thought silently in her heart: Hagrid's cooking skills are as rough as his appearance, and the taste is also the same. In the same vein as Muggle chefs.

"That hound's name is Fang. It's the same as Hagrid, but it looks more fierce." Fred said

As soon as the hound named Fang was released by Hagrid, he immediately rushed to Ada, wagging his head and tail at her.

"Back off! Yaya, back off!" Hagrid shouted to Yaya who was lying next to Ada. "I'm sorry, Ada, don't be afraid. Yaya is very docile and won't bite."

"It's okay, Hagrid, I like Fang very much." Ada said with a smile, she stretched out her hand and touched Fang. She really likes dogs.

"Ah, you've finished eating, how do you feel? How does it taste?" Hagrid asked excitedly. He saw that the rock cake in Ada's hand had disappeared.

After hearing these words, Ada, who was laughing and chewing the dog's head, suddenly no longer wanted to pet the dog. These words hit her like a bolt from the blue. Ada reluctantly said: "The taste is... not bad, but a bit... a bit hard."

Ada gave her evaluation tactfully.

"I like rock biscuits with a crisper texture, so they taste better." Hagrid didn't seem to understand Ada's words. "Just like it. I'll pack some for you when I leave, and you can take it back." Share it with your roommates.”

I'm afraid they think I'm trying to kill myself. Ada complained silently in her heart. She wanted to know who gave Hagrid such courage. Fish Liang would probably be upset.

Ada didn't dare to look at other food in the wooden house, for fear that Hagrid would ask her "Would you like to try it" enthusiastically again? This was the scariest sentence she had heard this year.

Fred and George complained about Snape mercilessly to Hagrid, and Hagrid also criticized Snape's inhumane behavior.

"Snape is like that. No one liked him when he was in school. He almost never liked any students after teaching." Hagrid comforted Ada, his black beetle-like eyes shining with sincerity, "Maybe next year With the new life, he will forget about you.”

Ada also hopes that Hagrid's words will come true. For the first time, she realizes that "a new generation replaces the old" is a blessing.

"Hagrid, can you tell me about the Forbidden Forest?" The twins finally showed their fangs, showing their true colors.

The simple Hagrid didn't know anything about this. He said: "There are many magical creatures in the Forbidden Forest..."

"We love magical creatures!" The twins' lies didn't even need to be drafted, they sounded just like the truth.

"Really?" Hagrid looked excited. "Your brother Charlie also likes magical animals. I like him very much. He always has a way with animals!"

"We were influenced by Charlie!" Fred said excitedly.

"Fire dragons and stuff are so awesome!" George stood up, shaking his robe and imitating the flying dragon.

But no matter how she looked at it, Ada felt that George was more like an old hen looking for food now. The simple Hagrid became even more overwhelmed after hearing the twin brothers' love for fire dragons. He began to introduce the Forbidden Forest to the twins in great detail.

Ada looked at the three people having a heated conversation. She seemed like an outsider now. No, at least she still had teeth.

"Ya Ya! Sit! Sit!" Ada began to train Ya Ya, but this Neapolitan mastiff didn't seem to have a very good mind, "Sit! Ya Ya! Sit down!"

She took out a pastry made by a house elf from her pocket and used the food to give Tooth a little motivation. With food as a temptation, Ada's order finally took effect. Yaya, with a wrinkled face, sat obediently in front of Ada, drooling all over the floor.

"Well done, good boy." Ada broke off a small piece of pastry and fed it to Yaya. Even if it was just a small piece of pastry, Yaya would gobble it up. Hagrid's cooking skills are evident... Yaya, you are suffering...

"Ya Ya! Get out of here!" Ada started the next training event, and the three people discussing the Forbidden Forest finally had differences.

"No, you can't go. The Forbidden Forest is full of dangers for you." Hagrid refused repeatedly with his hands the size of trash can lids. "That won't work."

"With you here, how can there be any danger?" Fred persuaded.

"We promise to listen to you and never cause any trouble!" George immediately began to swear.

"That's not okay. Every creature in the Forbidden Forest can cause life-threatening danger to you!" Hagrid shook his head and said, he could not agree to such a thing.

"But since you are here, we just want to take a look outside the Forbidden Forest." The twins were retreating in order to advance. How could they simply think that Hagrid would take them to the Forbidden Forest? It's good to be able to wander around the outside of the Forbidden Forest. We'll talk about the inside of the Forbidden Forest later, so there's no rush now.

"No, Fred, George, Dumbledore won't agree." Hagrid's position was still very firm, "We have to wait until you are older, wait until you grow up."

"Okay, Hagrid is also thinking about your safety, so don't make things difficult for him anymore." Ada, who couldn't stand it anymore, said.

The twin brothers had no choice but to give up, and the three of them sat for a while, chatting with Hagrid about the magical creatures he raised. It was just after nightfall that the three of them left Hagrid's hut.

"When we get ready, we can go explore the Forbidden Forest!" Fred said excitedly on the way back to the castle.

"Hagrid won't take you there, won't he? After all, he is a faculty member of the school, he will not take you there." Ada's mind was not on the Forbidden Forest at all, because before leaving, Hagrid said Gave her a small bag of rock biscuits.

"We didn't think he would agree." George continued with an inscrutable look on his face, "It's just that no one knows the Forbidden Forest better than Hagrid!"

"Get first-hand information from him." Fred said, "This will be more beneficial to our Forbidden Forest exploration plan."

"Don't your consciences hurt?" Ada said as she shook the bag of rock biscuits. She also didn't expect that the twins would be so "unhuman" as to coax Hagrid in order to go to the Forbidden Forest.

"No, not at all." The twins, who were no longer human, said happily. "We thought your tooth would really hurt!"

Glancing at the rock cake in her hand, Ada also felt that her teeth were aching. This is not a pastry, tie it with a rope and this is a meteor hammer!
