His eyes slowly swept over the group of nervous little wizards, who all took a step back at the same time. Only the sound of faint footsteps could be heard.

“I will call the students whose names you will hear later. Go forward bravely and face the Boggart. Don’t be afraid. I will protect you here. There are so many students with you. Nothing will happen.”Professor Lupin put his hands behind his back and walked slowly in the classroom. His eyes were firm and encouraging.

The little wizards moved back obediently. The atmosphere became more and more tense. The whole classroom was so quiet that you could hear each other’s breathing.

“Mr. Longbottom, first one, come on.” Professor Lupin stopped, looked at Neville with a smile, and nodded gently at him.

Neville stood there nervously, as if he was cast under a spell of immobilization. There were even beads of sweat oozing from his forehead, and his legs trembled slightly uncontrollably.
