Hogwarts Homecoming

Chapter 1015 Self-humiliation

When Dolores Umbridge and Lucius Malfoy walked into the hall, the originally noisy hall suddenly became quiet.

All the little wizards followed the arrogant Umbridge, and some little wizards whose parents worked in the Ministry of Magic looked uneasy.

This was not the first time Harry had seen Dolores Umbridge, and he was not unaware of why Umbridge came to Hogwarts, but he still gritted his teeth and said,

"What is she doing here?"

"Is there any need to say that?"

Hermione's face turned green and she responded angrily, and then she looked at the Slytherin dining table to see what Draco Malfoy's attitude was about her father following the high-ranking officials of the Ministry of Magic to Hogwarts.

What surprised Hermione was that Draco's pale face not only did not show any joy, but was also mixed with deep anxiety and some panic.

At the staff table, all professors left their seats and stood up, looking at Umbridge indifferently, some even did not hide their hostile eyes, but Dumbledore and Amosta were relatively calm.

"I'm here, Dumbledore, Brian--"

Finally, Umbridge stood in front of the staff table, she raised her somewhat hideous face decorated with a smug smile, and her sharp voice echoed back and forth in the hall where a pin drop could be heard.

It was time for a showdown, and Umbridge did not hide her joy at all,

"Although you tried every means to prevent me from entering Hogwarts, Dumbledore, Brian, I still came."

Malfoy tried to convince himself in his heart that the current scene was all planned, but he was still sweating profusely in Brian's sight. For the arrogant remarks of this woman Umbridge, he had already mourned for him in his heart.

"Hogwarts never rejects people with good intentions, Ms. Umbridge--"

Dumbledore looked at Umbridge calmly and solemnly,

"Unless that person has bad intentions."

Amosta glanced at Dumbledore in surprise--the first half of Dumbledore's speech just now was his style, but the second half was sharp and unusual. It seemed that Dumbledore was also very annoyed by the Ministry of Magic's persistence.

"Whatever you say, Dumbledore."

Since the two sides have already reached the point of breaking off relations, Umbridge is too lazy to pretend to respect the greatest wizard in the contemporary magic world. She laughed contemptuously,

"The Ministry of Magic is still the winner in the end. Oh. I must tell some people who have illusions or are confused here--"

Umbridge cast a playful look at Professor McGonagall who was glaring at her,

"Any attempt to fight against the Minister of Magic and the magical order will eventually suffer a shameful failure!"

"Hogwarts does not seek to fight against the Ministry of Magic, Ms. Umbridge, we just want to tell people the truth that the current Ministry of Magic lacks the courage to face."

Dumbledore still said calmly, and he glanced at the end of the Gryffindor table calmly-Harry's angry state He felt a little nervous.

"I think we shouldn't disturb the children's meal because of some trivial conflicts in ideas, Ms. Umbridge. If you like, we can go to my office to talk. I guess you brought some instructions from the Ministry."

"Oh, not from the Ministry, but from the Hogwarts Board of Directors--"

Umbridge said with a smile,

"Why go to your office, Dumbledore? In my opinion, this is a very wonderful occasion."

Umbridge turned around and looked at the mostly resistant faces on the four long tables with a smug look. Some children shrank their heads when their eyes met hers.

"The students are all here. I just happen to have something to do. Oh, mainly to expose some lies for them."

Dumbledore's face finally sank and his eyes became cold.

He didn't care about his image of authority being damaged, but Umbridge clearly wanted to use lies to cover up the truth, and in front of the students.

"Oh, ha ha, you want to talk here?"

Amostas finally spoke, his chuckle fell into Lucius's ears, which immediately made his heart jump, and he subconsciously stepped away from Umbridge.

"If you feel embarrassed, Brian--"

Umbridge raised her eyebrows and smiled happily, but she was interrupted before she finished speaking,

"You just said that you brought the order of the board of directors, so please speak--"

Amostas smiled quietly.

Seeing his expression, the anger of the professors at the faculty table was relieved a lot. Everyone who was familiar with Amostas knew his style. This senior deputy minister of the Ministry of Magic was probably in trouble.

"What will it be?"

Ron, who was pale with fear at the tense and confrontational atmosphere in the hall at the moment, asked with a smile.

"What else will it be."

Hermione said coldly, staring at Umbridge with disgust.

"Oh, hehe, are you playing dumb, Brian?"

Umbridge covered her mouth and laughed,

"Or are you afraid to face your own failure?"

She took out a piece of parchment from her pocket and unfolded it in front of Dumbledore and Amosta,

"This is the appointment letter from the board of directors. Dumbledore, Brian, more than two-thirds of the directors have signed it,"

Umbridge looked up at them, her heavy eye bags trembling with laughter,

"I have been appointed Defense Against the Dark Arts professor at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry!"

"Oh, what a pity-"

George Weasley's unrestrained voice caused a burst of suppressed laughter,

"This class has never appeared before, and the professor was killed before he even took office."

Umbridge, who was shaking her appointment letter as if to show off, her face froze. She turned her head and glared ferociously in the direction of the sound, but George held up his chest and looked at Umbridge without fear.

To be honest, Amosta had no plan to do this. He originally planned to use justifiable reasons to directly reject the appointment that would only be made under his arrangement, forcing the Ministry of Magic and the school board to go to extremes.

But seeing the arrogant and domineering stupid woman in front of him, a trace of ridicule flashed in Amosta's lavender eyes.

"I'm afraid you're not qualified to be my colleague, Umbridge -"

Amosta's cold voice startled Umbridge, but she recovered and smiled even more ferociously.

"You have no right to refuse, Blaine. The school board has issued the appointment letter, and Hogwarts must implement the school board's order. Moreover, I think you have forgotten, Blaine--"

Umbridge said sharply,

"You once received the appointment letter from the school board before entering Hogwarts and becoming the investigator investigating the Chamber of Secrets!"

"Ah, of course I won't forget--"

Amosta smiled leisurely and looked at Dumbledore.

"But becoming the Inquisitor of Hogwarts doesn't just rely on a letter of appointment from the Board of Directors. You've also missed the formalities, Ms. Umbridge--"

"What is it?"

Umbridge glanced at Lucius, but the latter lowered his head and looked at his toes, not responding to the inquiry in her eyes at all.

Umbridge asked with a frown as she realized something was wrong.

"You still need to pass my interview, Ms. Umbridge--"

Dumbledore looked at Umbridge indifferently.

"Unfortunately, Ms. Umbridge, you may be professional enough to serve the Minister of Magic, but I don't think you have the ability to teach young wizards."

Umbridge frowned. She was about to argue, but on the other side, seeing that the hole had been dug, Amosta said with a deep smile,

"Unless you prove to us that you have the ability to teach young wizards, otherwise, just a letter of appointment will not help you get the position of Professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts."

"We all passed the principal's interview."

Professor McGonagall coldly offered assistance at this time, and her words triggered a series of statements from professors at the faculty table.

Unconsciously, the offense and defense changed, and Umbridge, who was forced to do something wrong, had to ask,

"How can I prove it?"

"Oh, hehe--"

There was a hint of amusement in Amosta's smile. His eyes wandered around the auditorium. His soft words made Harry, who was filled with anger, instantly excited.

"If you want to teach students, at the very least, you have to prove that you are more professional than the students, right Ms. Umbridge?" (End of Chapter)
