Hogwarts Homecoming

Chapter 1096 Mission Cancelled

Tick. Tick. Tick.

The room was so quiet that you could hear a pin drop, with only the sound of blood dripping onto the floor.

Tick. Boom!

Amosta slowly retracted his hand, and Dawlish, who had lost his support, slid down the wall and finally fell to the floor with a thud.

Gulp——

Harry swallowed a mouthful of saliva, and when Professor Braine turned around, the indifference and coldness on his face made Harry shudder.

"Amosta!"

Mad-Eye was shocked and angry,

"Albus asked us to come here to stop you from killing people. What good would killing Dawlish do us? You've made things more complicated!"

Amosta glanced at Dawlish, who was lying on the ground, as if he was looking at garbage, shook off the blood on his hands, and said calmly,

"He's not dead."

Of course Ammosta wouldn't kill Dawlish... not now, otherwise, some things would be left unproven.

It is a matter of great joy for everyone, including Harry, that Dawlish is not dead.

However, people's mood did not become relaxed because of this.

The Aurors stared at Amosta Braine in a daze, and the powerlessness and fear in their hearts were roaring!

"Unless you show evidence that Harry Potter committed murder--"

When facing the remaining Aurors, Amosta's expression eased a little.

These people were just following orders and were not the main planners of the conspiracy. He didn't need to embarrass them.

"--Otherwise, I'm afraid I can't agree to you taking Harry Potter away."

Amosta said.

The Aurors remained silent.

If they were sincere, they wanted to hide from Amosta Braine who was furious, but the order of the Minister of Magic made them feel dilemma.

Harry opened his mouth and wanted to say something, but at this moment, a silver lynx penetrated the ceiling of the first floor and fell in front of Harry.

It's a patronus.

Harry recognized it immediately. He had seen Professor Dumbledore's silver phoenix and Professor Braine's strange snake.

The unknown life or death of Dawlish made the silver lynx dazed for a moment, and Amosstar's bloody hand made Kingsley roughly guess what happened.

However, Kingsley did not say much.

The lynx turned to the Aurors who were silent in front of Amosstar, and his voice was loud and deep,

"Albus Dumbledore reached a consensus with the Minister of Magic ten minutes ago to allow Harry Potter to be temporarily confined to 12 Grimmauld Place before his trial on July 20th. The arrest mission was cancelled and all Aurors returned to the Ministry immediately."

Huh.

After the lynx finished speaking, a series of exhalations sounded in the ruins, and many Aurors looked like they were about to collapse.

"Amosta--"

Kingsley's patronus turned to face Amosta,

"Albus asked me to tell you that he is waiting for you at Sirius's old house. He wants to talk to you as soon as possible."

After a moment's hesitation, Amosta nodded.

Bang!

In the slight explosion, the silver lynx disappeared.

"Then get out of here!"

Mad-Eye looked at the Aurors in the Ministry angrily,

"Otherwise I'm not sure if St. Mungo's has so many wards to accommodate you!"

So, the Aurors who had arrogantly broken into the house before quickly evacuated the Dursleys' home with Dawlish, who was only half dead, in a panic.

Although the solemn atmosphere in the house was not relieved much by the retreat of the Aurors, the killing in the air finally disappeared.

Remus wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and smiled bitterly,

"Just now I almost thought you really killed Dawlish, Amosta--"

"In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with killing him!"

Sirius said with his neck stiff,

"At least it can give Fudge a warning and warn him not to do anything wrong!"

"I agree!"

Tonks smiled happily,

"Then we will send Amosta and Harry to Azkaban together."

Tonks was undoubtedly joking, but no one could laugh.

Amelia ran to Amosta, her beautiful face frowning,

"We are all still confused, Amosta, Remus and I were going to work.

Sirius suddenly came back to tell us that the Minister of Magic said at the press conference on the Azkaban prison break this morning that the main reason for the incident was that the Aurors were investigating a murder case in London that had occupied the Auror Office's energy.

And they have obtained key evidence, and the suspect of the murder is..."

Amelia looked at Harry, her brown eyes still worried.

"It's pure nonsense!"

Before Harry had time to defend himself, Sirius shouted,

"I've never heard that the Ministry is investigating any murder case!"

"It's too early to draw a conclusion now, Sirius!"

Mad-Eye Moody said gruffly.

"Oh, this is impossible, right?"

Dedalus Digger adjusted his high-end purple hat and shouted in surprise,

"You don't really think Harry Potter would kill someone, Alastor!"

Harry found that he didn't need to argue for himself at all. Among the people who came with Sirius, almost everyone expressed the view that he was framed. He had basically never met these people, but they firmly believed in him, which touched Harry's heart.

"But the Ministry must have mastered something!"

Mad-Eye was the only one who held a different opinion. His two blue eyes were staring at Harry fiercely.

"Otherwise, Fudge wouldn't make such a big move, unless he wanted to prove to the entire wizarding world that he was a ridiculous clown, kid--"

Moody came to Harry with a cane, clattering,

"You secretly did some pranks, didn't you, and got caught?"

"I didn't, Professor Moody!"

Harry shouted fiercely.

"Oh, don't call me professor, I haven't got any chance to teach!"

Moody roared in a more violent voice.

"Alastor--"

Remus called out in a reproachful tone. He looked at Harry, his eyes flashing with hesitation, but in the end, he did not ask Harry anything, but looked at Amosstar again,

"I don't understand why Fudge is so stupid."

Remus said,

"Since the Ministry knows that Harry is here, they must have also found out that you are here, Amosstar, does he really think that the Aurors can take Harry away from you?"

"Fudge probably doesn't know I'm here--"

Amosstar said calmly,

"He was probably able to find Harry because Harry still had the trace on him."

"What is the trace?"

Harry frowned.

He didn't understand what the trace was, but judging from the expressions of others who understood, Professor Braine's explanation seemed convincing.

"Go back and ask Hermione, Harry."

Amosstar said, looking around at the mess.

Snap!

After a crisp snap of fingers, the broken dishes, collapsed, shattered walls and floors, and the furniture in the house were all reassembled and repaired as if time had gone back. Soon, everything in the house was restored to its original state.

The Dursleys, who had been forgotten and huddled in the corner to witness everything, stared at this magical scene in a daze, until Amosta came to them and they came to their senses.

When the shadow cast by Amosta's body enveloped them, the Dursleys immediately shivered. They stared at Amosta with horror, and their uncles were shivering.

Just now, this young man almost killed someone in front of them!

"You-you. I. I. I--"

Vernon Dursley's teeth were trembling, and he couldn't say anything clearly. He just raised a hand in front of his wife without looking back.

"I'm sorry to have caused you trouble--"

Amosta said, and he snapped his fingers again, and a cloth bag appeared out of thin air and fell into his palm with a jingling sound.

"Here is some gold, I hope it can make up for your mental loss."

So, the Dursleys stopped trembling.

After putting the bag of money in Vernon Dursley's arms, Amosta no longer cared about them, and he returned to Harry's side.

"Please help Harry pack his luggage, I will take him to Grimmauld Place first."

As he said, Amosta put his hand on Harry's shoulder.

After a light bang, the figures of the two disappeared from everyone's sight.
