Hogwarts Homecoming

Chapter 1102 Daily Life

Spending the summer at Grimmauld Place was the best life Harry had ever had.

Although the month spent at Mr. and Mrs. Weasley's home during the Quidditch World Cup last year was perfect, after all, it was Ron's home, and he would inevitably have some feelings about being a guest in someone else's home.

But in Grimmauld Place, he didn't have to worry about it at all. This was his godfather's ancestral home, and he should stay here as a matter of course.

After spending a few days of fear, Harry's life began to get on track.

Every morning, Harry got up a little earlier than Ron, Hermione and others and went to the kitchen to help Mrs. Weasley.

There are too many people living in the house, and preparing three meals a day for so many people is really too much for Mrs. Weasley, and Harry is one of the few people here who can help Weasley in this matter. Madam some help, not a disservice.

Although it is leisurely summer vacation time, the daily breakfast is always carried out in a hasty atmosphere.

Remus and Amelia never sat at the dinner table until the end.

They were the busiest two of them all, and often breakfast was the only time Harry got to see them in person during the day.

And Sirius couldn't stay at home for long, even on weekends.

When Harry questioned this, Sirius's gray eyes flashed with hesitation.

"I'm on a mission, Harry, given to me by Amosta."

"What is it?"

The children at the dinner table were all very interested in this, but after Mrs. Weasley coughed loudly, the hesitation in Sirius' eyes disappeared, and he avoided Harry's probing gaze.

"Just some ordinary stalking is boring, but someone has to do it."

But when Harry continued to ask who he was following, Sirius was unwilling to tell him anyway.

"Adults have learned to keep secrets now!"

When they went upstairs, Ron said angrily,

"I miss the Sirius of old, when he was always willing to talk to us more!"

"Professors Dumbledore and Professor Brain asked them to do this."

Ginny who was following them suddenly said, causing Harry and the others who were slowly climbing up the stairs to suddenly turn back and look at Ginny in surprise.

Ginny was wearing a light gray green, cool suspender nightgown, which allowed the blush on her chest to be clearly seen in the eyes of Harry who was higher up.

Shaking his head violently but slightly, Harry shook off the blood that rushed into his mind and asked impatiently,

"How did you know, Ginny?"

"oh--"

The heat in Harry's green eyes just now was not hidden from Ginny. Her cheeks were hot and she whispered softly,

"Last night in the middle of the night when I got up and went to the bathroom, I bumped into Tonks. I asked what the Order of the Phoenix was busy with now. Tonks didn't want to say anything. I asked a few questions before she said, Professor Dumbledore and Brian The professor told them not to let us know too much about the Order of the Phoenix."

"Professor Dumbledore and Professor Blaine's orders?"

Hermione bit her lip, recalling Professor Blaine's 'contempt' towards her the second day she moved into this house, and resentment filled her brown eyes.

"What else did Tonks say, Ginny?"

“Nothing more”

Ginny glanced at Harry quickly, took a few deep breaths to dispel the blush on her cheeks,

"Oh, she also told me that the Society of the Phoenix will have a meeting in a few days. Well, it seems that on Friday night, Snape will give a report."

"Tonks is such a good person."

Ron felt sad,

"She was at least willing to say something to us. The other Order members simply treated us as if we didn't exist."

The group started climbing the stairs again.

In the morning, their main activity area was Harry and Ron's bedroom.

Here they will read various newspapers and periodicals published in London in the past three months that Hermione has collected from various sources.

Harry had never known that there were so many types of newspapers published in London, and the newspapers collected by Hermione were stuffed under his and Ron's bed.

It's a boring job.

Most Muggle newspapers publish either news about Muggle politics or the entertainment industry, or covert advertising or useless junk information.

Often it takes more than a dozen newspapers and periodicals to find some crime-related information, most of which involve robbery or theft.

Although he knew that this was a very important and necessary job, after a few days, even Harry himself lost his motivation.

Only two girls, Hermione and Ginny, could still maintain their initial concentration.

Occasionally, they can find news related to homicides.

Whenever they meet, a group of people will always have a heated discussion about whether it is the Muggle murder claimed by the Minister of Magic, but the results of the discussion are always disappointing.

"I haven't left Hogwarts at all this whole year!"

Harry looked away from the news about Muggles jumping off buildings published in the Financial Times and scratched his messy black hair in annoyance.

"I was so frightened by Fudge that there was no way there was any murder related to me!"

"Objectively speaking, you left Hogwarts once."

Ron's words attracted everyone's attention, and he shrugged.

"Remember, at Christmas time, we came to Grimmauld Place to spend Christmas with Remus and Sirius, and we also visited, uh."

Hermione's warning glance made Ron shut his mouth in time.

They'd better not spread the word about the orphanage where Professor Braine grew up.

"Oh--"

Harry frowned,

"Even if I went out once, I couldn't have killed anyone around Sirius and Remus, right?"

"No one thinks you killed a Muggle, Harry."

Hermione sighed heavily,

"We've discussed it, haven't we? The biggest possibility now is that the Ministry of Magic has implicated you in a Muggle murder in a way we didn't expect, or... simply fabricated a Muggle murder and put the blame on you!"

Harry pursed his lips and remained silent.

Even he himself thought that the Ministry of Magic had so publicly announced to the entire magical world that he had killed someone, so there must be some "real things" in their hands.

Clatter.

Everyone flipped through the newspapers again.

The afternoon time was usually used by them to deal with summer homework.

Doing homework was often the thing Harry was most reluctant to face in the Dursleys.

He had to be careful not to expose anything related to the magical world to Uncle Vernon and Aunt Peggy.

Otherwise, they would turn his magic books and homework books into waste paper in the trash can in just thirty seconds.

He could only do it secretly in the middle of the night with a flashlight under the covers, and there was no one to ask for help.

But at Sirius's house, he didn't have to scratch his head for this.

Although Hermione insisted that he complete it independently, she was still willing to help them if there was really any problem.

And Sirius was also happy to give him more help in this matter.

Although Sirius was famous for his naughtiness when he was in school, his grades were also outstanding.

The time before dinner would be used by several people for entertainment.

In addition to playing wizard chess and playing with a set of Gobstones found in the house, Fred and George would also share their latest research results with them.

But you have to be careful, because some of the things the twins took out are very likely to have side effects, and they took them out just to experiment on them.

After dinner, No. 12 Grimmauld Place completely became the combat headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix.

Many wizards they knew and didn't know would rush here continuously, and then leave in a hurry after a while, exchanging various information, holding a short meeting, etc.

When Harry went downstairs to find something to eat late at night, he saw his Transfiguration professor in school talking to Mrs. Weasley in the kitchen.

She looked tired, and when she saw Harry, she first opened her eyes unexpectedly, and then smiled at him with some sympathy and pity.

After greeting each other, Professor McGonagall Apparated away, and there might be someone else in the kitchen later, so Mrs. Weasley gave him some food and drove him upstairs.

"I just saw Professor McGonagall downstairs."

Back in the bedroom, Ron had already lain in bed and was drowsy. Hearing Harry say this, he muttered in a delirious tone,

"Really? Did she think we didn't have enough Transfiguration homework, so she came to give us more homework?"

"Who knows."

Harry shrugged and jumped into his own bed.

Close your eyes, and darkness descends.

A strange corridor and a black door emerge from the darkness. (End of this chapter)
