Hogwarts Homecoming

Chapter 1299 Confrontation (Part 2)

Wow!

The silence that lasted for a few seconds was suddenly broken, and Harry jumped up from his chair.

"No one suspicious entered."

"The Fat Lady did not see Mr. Malfoy and Miss Parkinson enter the House Common Room. Mr. Potter -"

Professor McGonagall looked at Harry worriedly and said,

"Not only that, she didn't see anyone outside Gryffindor enter the Gryffindor common room -"

Harry took a step back, his eyes blank.

What does this mean?

His and Hermione's dormitory was stolen, and it was Gryffindor's own students who did it!

Professor McGonagall's worried look made Harry immediately frightened.

She was doubting that the ones who took their things were Ron and Parkinson. No, it wasn't!

Although Professor McGonagall was strict, she always stood on the side of justice. She could not be so ridiculous that Ron and Lavender stole his and Hermione's things and then opened Professor Blaine's office.

So

Harry looked at Professor Dumbledore and Professor Blaine, thinking about a possibility, and Professor McGonagall had obviously also considered it.

"Amosta--"

Professor McGonagall whispered,

"Is it possible that Mr. Weasley and Miss Brown were under the Imperius Curse?"

Professor Blaine's reaction disappointed Harry.

"I don't think we need to be confused by the way Mr. Weasley and Miss Brown turned up in Amosta's office, Minerva—"

Professor Dumbledore put his arms on the armrests and intertwined his fingers.

"After they wake up tomorrow morning, the truth of all this will be revealed. Now, what we should be most concerned about is where the staff is now."

After a brief silence, Professor McGonagall nodded.

After Professor Snape walked into the office with Draco and Parkinson, he walked to the side and crossed his arms. He had no intention of defending his students and just watched coldly.

Harry could only read the coldness in Malfoy's eyes, without any other emotion.

This further fueled his anger.

No matter how Malfoy tried to hide it, he knew that there was no other possibility. Malfoy must have teamed up with Parkinson to attack Ron and Lavender.

Out of guilt for himself, Harry simply couldn't control his anger. He just wanted to punch Malfoy's expressionless pale face with his fist!

"Draco, Pansy?"

Professor Blaine spoke at this time, and his calm voice temporarily allowed Harry to control his emotions.

"Did Professor Snape tell you what happened?"

"Without a doubt, Professor Blaine--"

In the dark office, Draco was not moved by the many glances cast on him. He nodded calmly and said,

"Potter's accusation against me stemmed from his prejudice against Slytherin. He could not provide any evidence to prove that I was related to the theft that occurred in your office."

The suffocating silence ended in Harry's voice dry with anger,

"Who else but you, Malfoy!"

Even Professor McGonagall had a look of helplessness on her face when she heard this.

"Only you know, Malfoy—"

Hermione stood up quickly and stared coldly at Malfoy and Parkinson.

"Only you know that Harry owns that dagger. He told you during the summer vacation in Diagon Alley, didn't he?"

Draco stopped Pansy who wanted to speak.

"So what?"

Draco tilted the corners of his mouth contemptuously,

"I bet you and Weasley also know that Potter has that thing, don't you?"

Glancing at Snape, Draco continued,

"As far as I know, Weasley was found in Professor Blaine's office, and he and Brown happened to be your and Potter's roommates."

Harry couldn't believe that Malfoy dared to knock him down!

"Then how do you explain that you went to Borgin Bock's shop during the summer vacation to buy an alchemical knife that can break magic defenses, Malfoy?"

Hermione was also very angry, she asked angrily.

None of the professors knew about this matter, and several professors in the office, including Snape, looked touched to varying degrees.

"I went to Boginbok for something that had nothing to do with--"

Malfoy seemed to have expected this question. He stared at Harry and Ron indifferently.

"Of course, if you're curious, I just did it to get some gold from my mom because I spent too much in Hogsmeade last school year, and my mom thought I should show some restraint-- "

"That's nonsense, Malfoy!"

Harry scolded angrily, but Malfoy still just moved his lips contemptuously.

"Mr. Malfoy——"

Of course the school wouldn't go to Lucius and Narcissa to find out if they had suspended Draco's pocket money.

Malfoy's statement also slightly angered Professor McGonagall. She stood up and glared at Draco sternly.

"Please tell us, where have you been all day?"

Draco glanced sideways at Professor McGonagall, seemingly unwilling to answer, but when he saw Professor Blaine sitting behind the desk looking at him with deep eyes, he pursed his lips and lowered his head.

"We spent most of the time in the Slytherin common room, but after breakfast Pansy and we went for a walk—"

walk?

Hermione's shoulders shook,

"But it's raining outside."

"None of your business, Granger!"

Pansy said fiercely.

"Pansy and I walked along the lake for a while, and when we reached the Forbidden Forest, I suddenly wanted to go to Professor Lahanson's residence to ask for some knowledge about meditation.

Pansy and I stayed at his place for a while, then returned to the Slytherin common room and stayed there until lunch. In the afternoon, Pansy and I also stayed in the common room and that's it--"

Draco ended his narration with a cold face.

Hermione suddenly realized that it would be difficult to explain this matter clearly, even if Ron and Lavender woke up tomorrow morning.

It was true that they had been attacked, and she believed, as did Harry, that it must have been Malfoy.

But since Malfoy and Parkinson dared to talk nonsense here, it can be explained that Ron and Lavender must not have seen who attacked them.

And if you want to expose Malfoy's lies, you can only use some.

"Do you need me to get the Veritaserum, Headmaster Dumbledore?"

Professor Snape said lazily, leaning on the medicine cabinet.

"You know we have no right to use this potion on students without permission, Severus-"

Dumbledore said gently.

"So--"

Amosta glanced at Harry and Hermione, who were angry and unwilling, and then rubbed his chin.

"Severus, have you checked Draco and Pansy, have they taken Felixir?"

Harry, Hermione and Professor McGonagall were all shocked.

"Other than Mr. Malfoy's recent overdose of Energizer, I see no sign that they have taken any other potions-"

Severus' thin lips curled up and he looked sarcastically at Harry, whose face was ashen.

Amosta nodded slightly, and the floating light and shadow enveloped his face, making it difficult to see his expression clearly.

He held out a hand towards Draco and Parkinson,

"Wands, I need to check your recent magic -"

By the way, the replay spell!

Harry's mood lifted again.

On the day Voldemort was resurrected, after returning to school, Professor Brain explained to Sirius and the others the real reason why the undead emerged from Voldemort's wand.

Among them, the flashback spell and the replay spell were mentioned!

But the test results once again disappointed Harry and Hermione.

Neither Malfoy nor Parkinson had used their wands to cast a coma spell in recent times.

Even Harry, who most firmly believed that Malfoy did everything, had confused eyes, and Hermione also had a confused expression, not understanding what was going on!

Professor Brain and Professor Dumbledore exchanged glances, and then Professor Dumbledore stood up from his chair.

"Minerva, Severus--"

Professor Dumbledore folded his hands and said calmly to the two deans,

"Please inform Filch to close the castle gate. In addition, please call all students to gather in the auditorium. We need to let all faculty and staff conduct a search of the castle-" (End of Chapter)
