Hogwarts Homecoming

Chapter 967 The Deterrent Power of the Strongest Wizard

Midsummer is coming, and it is early morning. The sun shines on the earth with a lazy heat.

Remus has left the house and gone to the alchemy workshop, and Sirius also went to work at the Ministry of Magic. After a leisurely breakfast, Amosta and Amelia said goodbye to Kreacher and walked out of the house.

"Similar to the American magic world, the main ways for wizards in the UK to travel are Floo Network, Apparition and flying brooms."

When walking down the stairs in front of the door, Amosta said,

"Of course, you can also choose the Knight Bus as a means of transportation, but the comfort is very bad. If you can't adapt to the flying broom, then the Knight Bus is not a good choice for you."

A magic world that has never been touched before, a life that is completely different from the past. Even the air is filled with a sense of freshness, just like the life when she just graduated from Ilvermorny and joined the American Magic Congress. Everything makes Amelia feel expectant and curious.

"So how do we get to Diagon Alley now?"

Amelia jumped down two steps directly, her face looking up, shining brightly under the bright sunshine.

"Through Apparition, the Leaky Cauldron is the passage connecting the wizarding world and the Muggle world. If you want to go to Diagon Alley, you have to pass through this bar.

Of course, if you have acquaintances in Diagon Alley, you can also use the Floo Network, and then you can do this when you go to work in Remus's workshop--"

Amosta said, he raised his right hand, and Amelia immediately put her hand on it.

A group of illusory haze bloomed rapidly in front of Amelia's eyes, and in an instant, she had followed Amosta to a crowded Muggle street.

There was obviously magic in the space near where they landed, perhaps a jamming spell and a repelling spell, because the people nearby ignored her and Amosta who suddenly flashed out of the space, and the Muggles would always subconsciously avoid that small space when walking.

Looking around, on either side of them were bookstores, record stores, hamburger stores, and movie theaters. Amelia carefully memorized the surroundings so that she could use Apparition to get here later.

After making sure she had memorized the details, Amelia's eyes fell on the bar in front of them.

The entrance to the bar was dirty and narrow, and Amelia was sure that even without magical protection, not many people would notice it.

"The Leaky Cauldron."

Amelia read the words on a rotten panel with green scars hanging on the door, and frowned slightly.

"Is it the same as the Blind Pig?"

"Not really--"

Amosta took a step and led Amelia in, saying gently,

"Generally speaking, the business of the Leaky Cauldron is in compliance with the law. It is not like the Narrak, where the main purpose of running a bar is to resell information and provide shelter for wanted criminals. Of course, some guys who wander in the gray area do like to trade here, but if it is a truly dangerous business, they will find another place--"

Amelia followed Amosta and listened carefully. When she crossed a certain boundary, an inexplicable force suddenly cut off the sunlight, and the surroundings suddenly became dim.

Clang!

Before she had time to look at the environment of the bar, the sudden collapse sound attracted Amelia's attention to a smoky corner of the bar.

About a dozen wizards were divided into two groups and confronted each other. One of them was wearing the black cloak that Amosta was familiar with.

The wizards on the other side did not cover their appearance. Each of them exuded a fierce aura, and from their appearance, they obviously had some Nordic characteristics.

It didn't take much to find out the reasons for the conflict between the two groups. Amosta glanced at the pieces of armor that were swept to the ground after the round table collapsed. They were shining with silver luster and engraved with intricate and exquisite patterns. He knew that one of the parties provided fakes and was recognized by the other party. Amosta even knew which "master" of the underground world these armors came from.

I'm afraid these "newcomers" in the underground world wizards didn't expect that the other party had some vision and violent temper.

The tense atmosphere attracted the attention of everyone in the bar. No one noticed Amosta standing at the door and watching all this indifferently.

"Pay compensation. Contract, five times!"

The leading Nordic man had a pair of blue eyes. On his rough face, fierce lines squeezed out between his eyebrows. He spoke in a rough voice in broken English.

Several wizards in the underground world were silent.

Fake one and five compensations are indeed the terms set in the contract, but there is a trick.

A wizard in a black robe opened his cloak and pulled off the space bag tied to his belt.

Seeing this scene, the leading Nordic man mistakenly thought that the group of wizards who traded with them really intended to compensate according to the contract. He and the people behind him all looked a little relieved. But when they saw that the man who opened the space bag dumped a pile of silver armor on the ground, they were stunned at first, and then their cheeks swelled red!

"Pay compensation in gold galleons, not. garbage!"

"You can take a closer look at the terms of the contract--" One of the wizards in the black cloak said indifferently in a hoarse voice that was obviously faked,

"We did not violate the contract."

Until now, how could the Nordic people not know that they were completely fooled by this group of local scum? They were breathing rapidly, their eyes were red, and they were ready to fight if they disagreed.

The wizards in the underground world were unmoved, but the slightly fluttering cloaks showed that they must have wands in their hands hidden under the cloaks. A bloody fight seemed inevitable.

The owner of the bar, the hunchbacked old Tom, had already shrunk his head behind the bar.

"What are you doing!"

Seeing that the conflict was about to happen, Amelia forgot that she was in another country, and forgot that she was no longer an employee of the magic government, not an Auror. She frowned and shouted in a clear voice.

The sudden stop startled everyone, including the two groups of people in the confrontation. All the wizards in the bar looked at the door, and Old Tom also poked his head out from behind the bar.

When they noticed that the one who stopped the conflict was not an Auror, but a young witch, many people couldn't help but show a ridiculous expression, but--

When these people instantly glanced at the young man standing next to the little witch, the sarcasm on their lips froze!

The commotion in the bar was so intense that you could hear a pin drop, as if there was an invisible force suppressing everyone from making a sound.

This sudden silence made Amelia a little overwhelmed. She blinked and turned her head blankly to look at Amosta.

But Amosta ignored the question in her eyes, and his expression was still calm, but his eyes moved from the faces of the two groups of people confronting each other to the counterfeit goods on the ground.

The wizard of the underground world who had just dumped out these garbage suddenly felt a palpitation. He bent down tremblingly and stuffed them back into his space bag one by one.

And the Nordic wizard who had just pushed the round table also silently bent down and lifted the table up.

Under the indifferent gaze of Amosta, the two groups of people who were about to fight walked out of the corner of the bar obediently. When passing by the stunned bar owner Tom, a Nordic wizard silently took out a few gold coins and placed them on the bar. He also nodded to old Tom and said "sorry" vaguely. Then he quickly followed the team and walked out of the back door of the Leaky Cauldron and disappeared from people's sight.

Puff--

At this moment, the Leaky Cauldron, which was immersed in silence, had a weird atmosphere. Amelia suddenly covered her mouth and laughed.
