Hogwarts: I am Voldemort

Chapter 242 Marvolo Gaunt’s Ring

The communication with Snape was not pleasant, which made Dumbledore hesitate.

Is it necessary for this person to stay at Hogwarts?

But he quickly suppressed the question because he had to complete the current task first.

"Severus, I need his help."

Dumbledore motioned for Snape to sit down, but the latter still stood where he was, "You heard that prophecy, and it came true, didn't it?"

Snape stared at Dumbledore for a long time, then suddenly said: "If you have already decided, there is no need to ask me again."

After he finished speaking, before Dumbledore could speak, he turned and walked out.

"Severus."

Dumbledore stood up and stopped him, saying, "Are you sure you want to leave like this?"

Snape stopped. He looked hesitant, but soon strode away.

Dumbledore sat on the chair again and rubbed his temples. He felt that he was really old.

In the past, he would have written a letter to dismiss Snape, but now, he was unable to do so.

Dumbledore, who had been sitting alone for a while, picked up his wand and threw out his Patronus.

After a while, Harry was brought in by McGonagall.

"Do you have your wand, Harry?" Dumbledore asked directly.

"Go ahead, Headmaster." Harry nodded.

Dumbledore glanced at him, his eyes suddenly startled: "Have you learned Occlumency?"

"Yes, it's Professor Snape. He thinks I need to learn it." Harry nodded.

Dumbledore frowned, but he didn't say anything more. He just said, "Come out with me, Harry."

Harry still nodded obediently and did not ask what to do.

"Hold me."

He let Harry take his arm, and then he waved, and Fawkes the Phoenix flew over.

"Bang."

After the sparks passed, the two disappeared into the principal's office.

"Buzz."

A dazzling point of light rose from the wand, illuminating the surrounding scenery.

"You know that your mother left magic on you, right?"

Dumbledore asked as Harry walked forward.

"Know."

Harry nodded, holding his wand, and cautiously looked at the dense nettles around him.

It looked so desolate, and he didn't understand what Dumbledore was doing by bringing him here.

"Then do you know why he didn't die?" Dumbledore asked again. "It is almost impossible to be alive after being rebounded by the Killing Curse."

"I don't know, Principal."

Harry noticed a dilapidated wooden house in the distance, and the rafters exposed between the broken tiles on the wooden house.

"Because of the Horcruxes, Harry."

Dumbledore waved his wand, and the shining light above them approached the dilapidated wooden house first. "That is an evil black magic that splits the soul into two. One half is hidden in a special vessel, and the other half walks in the wizarding world." ."

"Sounds evil, Headmaster." Harry shuddered, and he didn't know why.

"What's even more sinister is that it requires killing a man to do it, Harry."

Dumbledore signaled Harry to be cautious, and then he cautiously approached the cabin.

"Is that a snake?" Harry suddenly pointed at the door of the cabin and asked.

"Yes, a dead snake." Dumbledore said softly, "Wait a minute, I will go in and take a look first."

Harry nodded and stopped where he was.

Dumbledore looked back at him, and it had to be said that Harry looked very calm, which should be attributed to Snape.

Dumbledore withdrew his gaze and slowly approached the wooden house, waving the wand in his hand from time to time.

Harry stood behind and watched, and he discovered that Dumbledore would draw a curtain of light with his wand, and then let the curtain of light pass through the dilapidated wooden house again and again.

After a few passes, he saw Dumbledore approaching the window of the house, which looked very small.

"Harry."

"I'm here, principal."

"Be careful. If magic is shot towards you, be prepared to defend yourself."

"I understand, Principal."

As Harry spoke, he cast the Iron Armor Charm in front of him.

Dumbledore kept watching him until he was sure that Harry was doing a decent job, then he cast a spell through the narrow window into the house.

"Wow~"

It sounded like glass breaking, but Harry was sure it wasn't a normal glass breaking sound.

The cracking sound was so loud that he could hear it clearly from a distance.

"Be careful, Harry."

Dumbledore shouted to him again, but before he could answer, various lights suddenly burst out in the dark room.

Dumbledore, who was very close to the room, had already raised the same spell as him.

Magic began to shoot out of the room randomly, hitting the spell held up in front of Dumbledore.

Harry watched from a distance, and he was sure that Dumbledore was relaxed, because the headmaster still had time to look at him and waved to him, gesturing for him to step back further.

Harry obediently obeyed.

Snape taught him a lot, among which caution and prudence were emphasized the most.

"You have countless chances to make a comeback, Harry, but only if you don't die."

The words were still ringing in his ears, so Harry was not going to show off.

After waiting for a while, the fireworks-like spell in the room finally disappeared.

Harry saw Dumbledore go in and, after disappearing for a while, lean out.

"Come in Harry, come in quickly," Dumbledore called to him.

Harry immediately trotted forward, but he held his wand to his chest and his right arm close to his body - he was always on the defensive.

A smile finally appeared on Dumbledore's face, and he said to Harry: "Next year I will invite you another professor, Harry, and he will also teach you like Snape."

Harry was stunned for a moment and asked, "Professor Snape is leaving?"

Dumbledore was stunned for a moment, and then said: "No, I haven't decided yet, Harry, and that's a Professor of Defense against Dark Arts."

Harry nodded, but his brows furrowed.

Dumbledore didn't say anything more. He held up the shining spell and returned to the room.

Harry followed in, his eyes scanning left and right, but there was nothing of note here.

"Where are we, Headmaster?" Harry asked.

"Gaunt House, the home of Harry, Tom's maternal grandfather."

Dumbledore raised his head as he spoke, as if he found something on the ceiling.

Harry followed his gaze upwards and saw a small reflective object attached to the ceiling.

"What is that, Headmaster?" Harry asked.

"A ring, Harry," said Dumbledore. "Maybe it belongs to Marvolo Gaunt. He likes it very much, but I want to take it off to make sure."

Harry nodded and stared at the reflective ring again.

"I need you to help me, Harry."

"What do you need me to do?" Harry asked.

"An illumination spell, Harry, I think it's safer to use magic to remove the ring."

Harry did so, flicked his wand, and it lit up.

"Still pay attention to safety, Harry, okay?" Dumbledore asked him before taking action.

"Okay, Headmaster, I'm always ready." Harry said confidently.

Dumbledore nodded and pointed his wand at the ceiling.
