Hogwarts: I am Voldemort

Chapter 276 Night Visit to the Ministry of Magic

"To the Department of Mysteries?"

Crouch's eyes widened in surprise, as if telling Voldemort how unreasonable his request was.

"Yes, Mr. Crouch, I know it's difficult, but that's exactly why I came to you."

Voldemort ignored the other party's surprise. No matter what, he must go this time.

"Just for a look?" After Crouch calmed down, he did not refuse immediately.

"I need to go to the time chamber and learn some information related to the time converter." Voldemort said.

"Then you need a silent person to lead the way, and you also need a silent person in the time chamber..."

Crouch's brows knitted together, and it was obvious that he was very troubled.

"I have no intention of taking away anything other than knowledge from there, Mr. Crouch. This is very important to me, otherwise I won't have to visit late at night." Voldemort said sincerely.

Crouch nodded, thought for a moment and said: "I need to meet someone who can take us in, but before that, you need another identity."

"Use Lucius's." Abu interrupted directly.

Crouch thought for a moment and felt that this was not a big problem, so he asked Voldemort and others to prepare while he himself went to find someone.

"Meet you at the phone booth at one o'clock in the morning."

Everyone agreed on a time, so they started to act separately.

"Teacher, the person you asked me to follow is Mr. Barty Crouch?" Percy asked a little excitedly.

"Yes, but he is not a good teacher." Voldemort said with a smile, "Learn his abilities, but don't learn his behavior, otherwise your road will be much more bumpy."

"I understand, teacher." Percy nodded, thought for a moment and then asked, "Teacher, do you think I should develop the number of Candle Holders in the Ministry of Magic?"

"Candle Holder?" Voldemort asked.

"The new name I gave the Torch Organization comes from what you said about holding a candle and running away." Percy said with an embarrassed smile.

"The meaning is quite good."

Voldemort nodded, thought for a moment and said, "First select some from the grassroots. It is best that you can suppress them, otherwise they will be taken over by the doves."

Voldemort used the words "dove occupying the magpie's nest" in Chinese, but Percy could understand it.

"But in this way, the Candle Holder's expansion speed will be very..."

Before Percy could finish his words, he was stopped by Voldemort's strange look.

"No matter how slowly it develops, it will still be your candle holder, not anyone else's."

Voldemort said something angrily, and Percy didn't dare to refute, so he could only deal with it with an embarrassed smile.

After that, the two chatted for a while about the development of the Candle Holder, and Old Nott fell asleep while listening.

It wasn't until Abu returned and Voldemort drank the compound potion that the four of them apparated and came to a shabby street.

"Couldn't the Ministry of Magic have chosen a better entrance?"

Abu shook his feet and complained.

"They think it's 'safer' this way." Voldemort said with a smile, and the other two remained silent.

Abu snorted angrily and said nothing more. The four of them began to wait quietly.

Soon after, Crouch apparated with a masked man.

"Just once, Crouch, I will never owe you any debt from now on." The masked man glanced at Voldemort and the others, and then said to Crouch.

"Just this once, let's go."

Crouch didn't say much, let everyone hold him, and then an Apparition entered the Ministry of Magic.

"If we don't enter through that entrance, why are we going to that shabby street just now?"

Abu complained dissatisfiedly, but no one answered him.

Everyone followed the masked man into the elevator. After a short descent, the masked man pushed open the fence and led everyone to a simple corridor.

"I only answer one person's question. You chose Lucius, right?" The man in black turned his head to look at Voldemort and asked Crouch.

"Yes." Crouch glanced at Voldemort who looked like Lucius and said.

"Others can only listen but cannot ask. Lucius can."

After finishing speaking, the masked man pushed open the simple black door and walked directly inside without waiting for anyone to answer.

Everyone filed in and entered a circular black room.

There are twelve identical black doors with no markings or handles on the left and right sides of the room. They almost blend into the black walls next to them.

Some candles with blue flames dotted the walls, adding light to this small space.

The masked man identified the location, and then pushed open a door, which immediately revealed a shining light.

"Come this way." The masked man said.

Everyone hurriedly walked into the room and glanced at this beautiful room curiously.

"Don't say anything, don't touch anything."

The masked man finished speaking to everyone and looked at Voldemort, "You can ask, but don't touch anything."

Voldemort nodded, his eyes attracted by a flash of light, but soon fell on the large and small clocks in the room.

A rapid, never-ending ticking sound filled the room, making it impossible for Voldemort to tell which tick was coming from which clock.

"Come this way."

The masked man waved to everyone and walked straight to a bell-shaped crystal glass cover standing at the end of the room.

The crystal glass covered Voldemort's chest, stood on a seat, and was filled with a churning, sparkling air flow.

Inside the cover, a small, jewel-like object was slowly floating upward.

"Click."

While floating, the object, or egg, suddenly cracked open and a hummingbird emerged from it.

This is not the most amazing thing. As the air flow drove it to the top and turned into a bird, the air flow took it down again.

And as it fell, it turned into an egg again.

It felt like time was repeating itself infinitely at this moment.

Voldemort's eyes lit up, this was the secret of time that he wanted to explore.

But he did not act rashly. In the face of this magical phenomenon, remaining cautious enough was the best option.

"Can you explain to me why this phenomenon occurs?" Voldemort asked the masked man.

"That's exactly why I'm here."

The masked man nodded and said, "But first I want to make sure you understand that this is a time regression phenomenon, not something that a simple repair spell can do. You understand that, right?"

Voldemort nodded in understanding.

The masked man also nodded, and behind the mask, he let out a sigh of relief.

Judging from this, there are many people who have struggled with this issue with him.

"Does anyone think this is not time regression?" Voldemort asked curiously.

The masked man glanced at Percy and said, "I can't say much about this."

Voldemort looked at Percy, only to find that the latter also looked confused.

After thinking about it, he realized that the masked man was not referring to Percy, but to his father, Arthur Weasley.

"With that person's character, it's not unexpected that he would do such an unreliable thing." Voldemort thought with a raised eyebrow.
