Hogwarts: I am Voldemort
Chapter 345 Pig Head Bar
Turning into an alley from the central avenue of Hogsmeade, Snape came to a small bar.
The tattered wooden sign hung from a rusty stand, depicting a severed pig's head, blood stains seeping through the white cloth wrapping it.
The Hog's Head Pub, this was Snape's destination on this trip.
It is different from the glamorous Three Broomsticks pub in Hogsmeade.
Most of the people here cover their faces and speak softly, as if everyone is telling secrets that cannot be shared with others.
But Snape didn't make any attempt to hide anything. He stroked his freshly washed half-length hair and walked in with fast steps.
"Crunch."
Pushing open the door, the small, dark, very dirty room, filled with the smell of mutton, was quiet.
Everyone looked at Snape from under the brim of his hat or from his scarf.
"A professor from Hogwarts."
“I remember he loved going to Knockturn Alley to trade.”
"Doing this in the Pig Head Bar seems a bit disrespectful of the rules here."
A thin sound came, but Snape didn't care.
He glanced at the bar with the eyes of an interrogating student, and finally settled on the man sitting in the corner.
"Rare visitor, Snape, what would you like?"
The boss, who was tall and thin with gray hair and beard, shouted from a distance, finally making Snape look away from that corner.
"Firewhiskey, thank you."
Snape said something and looked at the corner again.
At this time, the man who covered half of his face with a scarf and hat, and whose mouth was only exposed when drinking, happened to be looking at her.
Snape waved his hand at the other party, but the other party turned a blind eye and lowered his head, and deliberately lowered his hat.
"He doesn't seem to want to communicate with you, Snape, don't cause trouble here."
The bar owner tilted the table and pushed the newly lit Firewhiskey forward, "Your wine."
"We're friends, Aberforth, a good one."
Snape said as he walked forward, picked up his drink, and turned towards the corner.
"Ah."
Aberforth let out a short, disdainful laugh, and then ignored the other party.
Snape, who was walking towards the corner with the wine glass in his hand, also received the rejection look from the man who had wrapped himself extremely tightly.
"Ogu..."
Snape just spoke, but the other party interrupted him before he could finish his words.
"Hey, Snape, don't scream."
As the man spoke, he deliberately lowered the brim of his hat again and lifted his scarf up.
At this point, only his eyes are exposed, making it difficult to identify his identity.
"I'm always going to call you that, right?"
Snape sat opposite the man and moved his chair in disgust, away from the thickly stained bay window.
"Oh, you can call me this." The person on the other side said in a low voice and quickly, "Are you here to find me?"
"Yes, O, that's obvious," said Snape.
"What are you going to do?" the voice of the person opposite said with dissatisfaction, "You always bump into me in the Affairs Department. I've had enough. Snape, tell that person that I will never go back."
"Really not going back?" Snape asked while sipping a glass of wine.
The person opposite shook his head vigorously, looking very determined.
The bar owner glanced at this place curiously from a distance. He twisted his ears and seemed to hear the conversation between the two.
Then his frown suddenly opened, as if he had figured out something.
"This is... August Rookwood?"
His eyes looked at the wanted notice from the Ministry of Magic posted on the pillar of the bar. The figure in the photo on the side looked very similar to the person in the corner.
But the pub owner, Dumbledore's brother, apparently did not inform the Ministry of Magic's intentions.
He just curled his lips and lay lazily on the greasy bar table.
It looked like he had lost interest in the exchange between Snape and August.
"If you're not willing to go back there."
Snape swung his wine glass and looked at the flickering flames and asked, "What do you think of that person's opposing camp?"
The person opposite him visibly stiffened, and then his brows knitted together, causing him to look at Snape with big eyes.
"Are you sure this isn't a joke?"
Augustus' words were full of incredible emotions.
"Do you think I'm kidding? Well, you always have to make a choice, just like before, don't you?" Snape said.
Augustus shook his head, and from his barely exposed face, you could see that it was a smile.
"I've had enough, Snape. I don't want to be involved in this anymore, either way."
His voice was still gentle, but his gentle tone revealed a decisive attitude.
Snape frowned and said, "But you are already involved in it. Look at you now, you even come to this hellish place to drink."
He said, looking at the ground here with disgust.
It looked like compacted dirt, but in fact it was originally paved with stone, but it had what seemed like centuries of dirt accumulated on it.
"I'm very free in the Affairs Department, you know, as long as I don't leave there..."
"But you left anyway, didn't you?" Snape interrupted.
August fell into a long silence, but from his eyes, it was not clear whether he was thinking or in a daze.
Finally, August, who had been down for a while, raised his head, looked at Snape and said, "Being a double agent is very dangerous, isn't it?"
Snape smiled and nodded, "But you will never lose, right?"
August smiled, then shook his head again.
He looked like he was too lazy to argue anymore, so he picked up the wine and took a sip without saying a word.
Snape also drank alone in silence for a while, making no sound for a long time.
The two were silent for a long time, until the wine in August's glass bottomed out.
"In my opinion, the man in school may not be that good, Snape. He is too old and has been through too much."
August reached out and tapped his temple and said, "You can't beat him, believe me."
After he finished speaking, he stood up and seemed ready to leave.
"Wait a minute, oh, maybe I have a new proposal."
Snape stopped him again and looked at him with a smile.
Augustus stopped and looked down at Snape doubtfully for a moment, then he shook his head.
"I'm tired of it, Snape. I'm doing well in the Office and I don't want to be involved in anything anymore, that's all."
After he finished speaking, he turned around and left without hesitation, walking out of the Pig Head Bar.
Snape was stunned for a moment, and when August opened the door and left, he quickly chased after him.
"Pay up, Snape."
Just before Snape was about to open the door, the boss behind the bar, who seemed to be asleep, suddenly said.
"Wow~~"
Five silver coins were thrown on the bar, and Snape walked out of the Hog's Head without looking back.
