Hogwarts: I am Voldemort

Chapter 472 Negotiating the Buckingham Palace Treaty

Buckingham Palace has not closed its door to the wizarding world, but the door is not wide open either.

They did not give any specific explanation for this raid, and they appeared to be indifferent to the negotiations.

It wasn't until Dumbledore borrowed the Elder Wand from Voldemort and went to Buckingham Palace in person that negotiations reluctantly started.

But even though the negotiations had begun, Voldemort still felt that Buckingham Palace was perfunctory.

This is not difficult to infer from their various behaviors.

For example, they strongly demanded that Voldemort must participate in the negotiations, and after Voldemort made it clear and refused many times, they also demanded that Dumbledore and Minister Crouch must establish a subordinate relationship before they can negotiate.

This is undoubtedly creating internal conflicts in the wizarding world. Fortunately, Dumbledore was willing to condescend and receive the title of consultant to the Ministry of Magic, which was regarded as fulfilling the other party's request.

But even at this point, the other side still put forward new requirements:

Publish the names and home addresses of the wizards, and send the detailed information about the wizards to the English government before negotiations can begin.

This request seems like a polite refusal to negotiate.

Of course, the Ministry of Magic would not agree to such a request, and Dumbledore even wanted to go to Buckingham Palace again.

"They are stalling for time, Albus. Unless you kill their decision-makers with the Elder Wand, nothing will be gained. Force will not solve the problem."

Voldemort's words made Dumbledore roll his eyes.

Can't force solve the problem?

If someone else had said this, Dumbledore might have believed it, but if it came from Voldemort's mouth, Dumbledore would be damned if he believed it.

"What do you think their purpose is?"

As Dumbledore spoke, he glanced at Voldemort's desk.

Centered above it was a picture of a man Dumbledore recognized.

Leonard, his former student.

"Are you checking for traces of the Watchers?" Dumbledore asked.

"Know thyself, ever-victorious."

Voldemort said something in Chinese, regardless of whether the other party understood it or not, and then said in English, "I have been thinking about their purpose, Albus, this is the reason why I didn't take action."

"Have you found the purpose?" Dumbledore asked.

"Don't let things develop like that in North America. I think they raided the Ministry of Magic with this idea in mind," Voldemort said.

Dumbledore was silent and thought for a moment, then said: "You mean, they want to eradicate...or control the wizarding world in England?"

"Yes, Albus, although they used Muggle weapons and soldiers, the main attackers were wizards. They hoped that this was an internal conflict. Do you understand what I mean?" Voldemort asked.

"You mean, test them?" Dumbledore asked, stroking his white beard that had returned to its original length.

"Yes, if there are any results, please tell me."

Voldemort said, picking up the tea on the table and taking a sip.

Dumbledore said nothing more, stood up and left.

And on the third day after this meeting, Dumbledore sent him news that Buckingham Palace was willing to negotiate.

"First of all, we must recognize the co-governance of wizards. In other words, in the future, the problems of the wizarding world in England will only be decided by the Ministry of Magic, which has no power to make decisions. Buckingham Palace will be involved."

Percy frowned and told the reason why this negotiation was achieved.

"Can you agree to this?" Voldemort felt very strange.

"Minister Crouch refused, but Principal Dumbledore convinced him."

After Percy finished speaking, he looked at Voldemort with strange eyes and said, "The principal said that our negotiations will not involve you this time, including the so-called co-governance before, and you have also been excluded, so..."

"So if there is a problem in the future, you will ask me to rush out and lift the table?" Voldemort said gloomily.

Damn Dumbledore, this is going to be him as the dog in "Leave the Dogs".

"That's roughly what it means. The principal specifically told me before I came over that I must convey his meaning." Percy looked like he was holding back a smile.

"What do you mean?" Voldemort asked.

"You are the future of the wizarding world." Percy smiled.

"Go and ride the horse's future." Voldemort also smiled, but he was not angry.

Dumbledore agreed to the other party's conditions based on the situation, and using him as a secret agent also left a way out for the entire Ministry of Magic in England.

It was him, and he would do the same.

"Will you participate in this negotiation?" Voldemort asked, putting away his smile.

"Yes, the principal and the minister both want me to be a hardliner in this negotiation." Percy said.

Voldemort nodded. This was a suitable arrangement. After all, it was Percy who killed the opponent this time, and his lover also died in the explosion. There was enough reason to do so.

"Bring Neville and Draco over, as well as Hermione. If she is willing, let her participate in this negotiation and just listen." Voldemort said.

"Okay, teacher." Percy agreed without any hesitation.

This meeting ended here, and for the rest of the time, Voldemort focused on the Horcruxes.

He has recently been studying how to put part of Lin Zuo's soul into it, so that if something happens to him, he will be resurrected in the future, not just Riddle.

The process went very smoothly. In fact, he had completed the transformation of a Horcrux and sent the Horcrux to the tribal wizard.

Now he is transforming another one and preparing to send this Horcrux to the eastern land.

While he was busy transforming the Horcrux, negotiations began.

Just as Voldemort thought, this negotiation did not go smoothly. Buckingham Palace was holding on to the power of co-governance, hoping to get the list of all wizards.

Dumbledore and Crouch did not back down, demanding that the other party exchange lists of observers.

Obviously this is a condition that no one can agree to, so the negotiations are deadlocked here.

Seeing that the negotiations could not advance, Voldemort paid less attention to it.

Who knew that a month later, the other party actually compromised.

They no longer wanted a wizarding list, but instead wanted the Queen to have the same rights in the wizarding world as in the Muggle world.

"What are they going to do?"

This request confused everyone, including Dumbledore.

After thinking about it, they couldn't figure out the reason, and finally found Voldemort as a last resort.

"The right to go to war, you two, this is the right and responsibility that I can think of that has the greatest impact on us."

After a brief thought, Voldemort made this judgment.

"Power to go to war?" Minister Crouch asked doubtfully.

"The queen can declare war on any person or country at any time. Correspondingly, her people will also participate in this war, so... maybe they want to make the wizarding world more chaotic, or maybe they are still looking for reasons to evade the signing of the treaty.”

Voldemort said thoughtfully while putting down the information in his hands.

This information still comes from the team behind Bochis, but almost all the people within the team have been changed.

The English no longer served him, so he had to find some Chinese people who were familiar with England.

Voldemort thought this was good, at least he felt that the Chinese understood politics better than the English.
