Hogwarts: I am Voldemort
Chapter 7 Diagon Alley
"I can bear more curses on your behalf, Mysterious Man, that would be my honor."
When Voldemort got out of the taxi, Quirrell was chattering in the back of his mind.
"I'll say it one last time."
Voldemort looked at the Leaky Cauldron, which was sandwiched between a bookstore and a record store, and said solemnly, "Don't get yourself into unnecessary trouble, child, you must know how to protect yourself."
"And, on this matter, we don't need to talk anymore, let's go and rest."
After calming the chattering Quirrell, Voldemort walked into the dilapidated and dim Leaky Cauldron, and saw Old Tom behind the bar.
"Hey Quirrell."
As soon as they met, Old Tom called out his name, "I thought you would die in the Black Forest. They even set a bet for this."
Voldemort followed his gaze and looked not far away. Sure enough, several people at the table were looking at him. One of them had a look of surprise and annoyance on his face.
"The unlucky guy's name is Dedalo Digg, and he bet that you won't come back alive." Old Tom said narrowly.
"I don't think he has much brains." Voldemort looked at Di Ge deeply, then pointed to his head and said jokingly to Old Tom.
"ha……"
As soon as Old Tom's laughter burst out the first syllable, an angry Di Ge slapped the table and stood up.
"Bang..."
"Bald Quirrell, who are you calling brainless?"
His angry roar silenced the noisy bar, and everyone turned their attention to the two parties involved.
Old Tom stood up and wanted to walk out of the bar to persuade him - he knew that Quirrell was very timid, and he didn't want this kind-hearted kid to make a fool of himself in his bar.
However, things did not develop as he expected.
"Bald Quirrell, I don't like this name."
Voldemort spoke calmly and slowly pulled out half of the wand - even though the wand was "dead", it still had a deterrent effect.
"Dedalo Di Ge..."
"Are you provoking me, the intruder of the Black Forest, the future Defense Against the Dark Arts professor at Hogwarts?"
His calm and calm words revealed his confidence and determination not to hesitate to fight.
Di Ge stood stunned on the spot, he didn't know how to answer, and everyone in the silent bar was watching him.
His hand shook, as if he was going to get the wand, but the shaking was the only movement he made, and he did not take any further action.
"Oh my God, Quirrell, are you going to Hogwarts to be the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor?" Old Tom's words freed Di Ge who was stuck in place, not knowing how to respond.
Voldemort stared at Di Ge again and returned the wand in his hand to its original position.
"I'll have an interview in a few days, but I don't think it's a big problem. After all, I have teaching experience and have traveled to the Black Forest."
Voldemort said, pointing behind Old Tom, "Give me a glass of butterbeer."
"Okay, Quirrell."
Old Tom turned back to pour the wine, and the bar became noisy again. Di Ge left in a hurry, but no one cared about him.
"That's just him, don't worry about it."
Old Tom said, handing over the wine glass, "I bought you this glass to reunite after a long separation."
"Thanks."
Voldemort smiled and nodded, and took a long sip - the taste of toffee filled his mouth, with a slight bitterness, which was very good.
"You have changed a lot, Quirrell. You are more brave." Old Tom looked at Quirrell who put down his wine glass and said seriously.
"It seems that my purpose of going to the Black Forest has been achieved." Voldemort said with a smile, but did not answer the question directly.
"But why did you choose Defense Against the Dark Arts? You know..."
"challenge."
Voldemort used his prepared words, "The Black Forest is dangerous, but that journey is over. I need a new challenge. The Curse of the Mysterious Man is a good choice."
Old Tom shuddered, that name made him uncomfortable, and the bar was silent for a brief moment, and then became more noisy.
Old Tom didn't want to discuss the mysterious man, so he changed the subject, pointed at Voldemort's bald head, and asked him to tell him what happened to his hair.
"When I left the Black Forest, a fire burned my hair, but that's a small problem, isn't it?" Voldemort said.
"Yes, the company that produces instant and smooth hair sprays, their hair restorers are also good, you can try them."
Old Tom said, pointing to his thinning hair, "When I was young, I always used their products, but when I get older, these things are no longer interesting."
"That's what I'm here for."
After taking the last sip of butterbeer, Voldemort said goodbye to Old Tom, and then walked across the bar to the small walled patio.
Take out your magic wand, count three bricks on the trash can, count two bricks horizontally, and then hit it.
The brick wall began to roll, soon revealing the archway inside, and Voldemort stepped into the winding cobblestone street with no end in sight.
The surrounding scenery changed instantly, and the sun shone on a stack of pewter pots. The bottom of the pots reflected the light right onto his face, and he couldn't help but raise his hands to block it.
Staggering the light, the streets of Diagon Alley appeared in front of him. In the windows of the shops on the left and right, various magical creatures and products fascinated Voldemort's eyes.
The remnant Voldemort has obviously experienced everything. The current Voldemort has also visited Diagon Alley in his memory, but how can that compare with being there?
"The magical Diagon Alley, I love it here."
After stepping onto the street and wandering around curiously for a while, Voldemort walked into a barber shop. "Hair growth treatment, lengthen the back, make it smoother."
Looking at the business contents carved on the wooden signs, Voldemort sat on the chair and said.
"As you wish."
The barber said and started to operate:
He first waved his wand, picked out a pool of viscous green potion from a bubbling cauldron, and applied it evenly on Voldemort's bald head.
After waiting for an hour, Voldemort felt that his scalp began to feel itchy and hot.
Then the hair began to grow crazily, and the barber hurriedly applied another potion on him - but in the meantime, the hair had grown to the ground.
"It was a really bad experience."
Voldemort, who was trapped by his hair, simply gave up control of his body and let Quirrell face everything.
"Hurry up, you damn guy."
As soon as he gained the right to use his body, Quirrell began to curse - he obviously did not have a good temper like Voldemort.
"Sorry, I'll take care of it right away."
The barber said hurriedly, waved his wand, the scissors and wooden comb flew up, and began to cut the long hair.
The process was quick, but then I used a smooth hair spray, which took a lot of time.
Before dark, it was finally over, and Voldemort once again took control of his body.
Looking at himself in the mirror, with long black hair reaching his waist and a calm face, Voldemort nodded with satisfaction.
"How much?" he asked.
"A haircut costs 9 Silver Sickles, a hair growth treatment costs 1 Gold Galleons and 13 Silver Sickles, and a hair smoothing treatment costs 16 Silver Sickles..."
After the barber finished speaking, he began to be in a daze. It was only when Voldemort thought that maybe he should wake him up that the guy recovered from his stupor.
"A total of 2 gold Galleons and 4 silver Sickles."
Looking at the sincere and completely unjoking clerk, Voldemort finally understood why he was in a daze just now - but the problem was that being dazed did not bring good results.
"If I calculated correctly, it should be 3 gold Galleons and 4 silver Sickles." Voldemort said as he took out the money to pay the bill.
"Ah...did you make a mistake again?"
The barber murmured, reaching out and taking the coins handed over by Voldemort.
And his murmur really made Voldemort feel that it was necessary to popularize some Muggle supplies in the magical world.
For example, the person in front of me is in urgent need of a calculator.
We finally entered a plot that everyone is familiar with, and the foreshadowing was so tiring... I should have persuaded a lot of people to quit, but...
Hey... I won’t say much more. I ask all the students who can insist on seeing this to vote for me.
