Hogwarts: I, Tom, am really not Voldemort!

“Knock, knock...”

Ignoring his gaze, Tom feigned surprise and asked, “Headmaster, does that mean I'm a wizard?”

“Yes, Tom, this is your acceptance letter. But rather than 'Headmaster,' I would prefer you call me 'Professor.'” Dumbledore took out a pale yellow envelope and handed it to him.

Looking at the school emblem on the envelope, composed of a lion, a snake, an eagle, and a badger surrounding a capital letter 'H', Tom asked Dumbledore with a hint of surprise, “Alright, Professor, may I open it and take a look?”

“Please do, Tom. I think you've sensed that you're different from others for a long time now.” Asking the same question he had asked the previous Tom, Dumbledore stared intently at Tom, wanting to see his reaction.

While reading the familiar content on the letter, Tom gave Dumbledore an answer that was completely different from what he had expected:

“To be honest, I haven't noticed that I'm different from others. If you hadn't come today, Professor, I'm afraid I would never have realized that I'm actually a wizard.”

“Haven't you felt any magical fluctuations?” Dumbledore looked at Tom with some surprise, feeling somewhat uncertain.

‘So his Occlumency… is it natural? Or is he lying?’

“Yes, Professor, everything I've said is true.” After reading the letter, Tom met Dumbledore's gaze without fear. “So, Professor, does magic really exist? Does an orphan like me really have the qualifications to learn magic?”

Upon hearing this, Dumbledore took out his wand and gently tapped the water glass on the table. Instantly, the water glass turned into a cute little hamster. With another gentle tap, the hamster turned back into a teacup.

Tom watched Dumbledore's Transfiguration, but instead of feeling novelty at seeing magic, he became even more nervous.

“See, this is magic. You will receive the best education at Hogwarts. And Hogwarts has many Muggle-born wizards.”

“Muggle?” Tom asked, feigning curiosity.

“Ah, Muggle is what we in the magical world call ordinary people who can't use magic.” Dumbledore explained, continuing the previous topic.

“Moreover, a very powerful wizard once came out of this very orphanage. Although he went down the wrong path, he was indeed very strong.”

Tom decided not to follow Dumbledore's train of thought and changed the subject, looking at Dumbledore hesitantly, “But…”
