Hogwarts: My name is the Unforgivable Curse
Final words
I know this ending may be a bit abrupt, and the number of words in the book is indeed a little short - but everything I wanted to say has really been said.
However, the abrupt look and feel cannot be avoided. This is due to my lack of writing skills. There are quite a few problems in the rhythm of the narrative and the advancement of the plot. It was also when I was writing a few days ago that I suddenly realized, "Hey, why did I finish everything all of a sudden?"...
At that time, I wanted to struggle a little more, try to expand the content, and at least survive this month to get full attendance (laughing), but the problem is that there seems to be nothing to talk about...
The protagonist's goal has been achieved, the secret of the Deathly Hallows has been revealed, the university has begun to operate, and the pure-blood family has become honest... If I continue to write, it is nothing more than continuing to expand the worldview, from Britain to Europe, and from Europe. Go to the entire magical world and attack dark wizards and pure-blood families in all directions. On the one hand, the plot is repetitive, and on the other hand, the originality is a bit too strong. I think I can't control it yet.
Therefore, finishing it at this stage is the safest choice I can make, even though the impression is not very good, alas.
Let’s talk about the book itself - as the first work written from beginning to end, it is indeed higher than my initial expectations to achieve such results. But the more I wrote, the more I discovered that I still had too many shortcomings and problems. In the end, I even felt a little scared...
First of all, the birth of this book itself was relatively hasty - at that time, due to some reasons, I opened this book in a hurry, and it only took less than a month from creating the folder to uploading it. At the time of uploading, even the outline of the secret room had not yet been completed, and the rest of it was blank except for the confirmation of the setting of "Nobic Ridge University"...
But at that time, I actually felt that the content was enough. Looking back now, it is true that the ignorant are fearless.
So when I was about to finish writing the Secret Room chapter, I not only had no manuscript to save, but even no outline... Not to mention how tortured it was at that time.
So my decision at that time was to directly sacrifice the Prisoner of Azkaban chapter, design a simple main plot to follow (that is, the werewolf attack case), and then throw out the university setting to expand the content and free up enough time. Continue to design the next outline - so you can see that at that stage, there was almost no description of daily life in Hogwarts. They were all busy pushing the main line, and the quality of the articles was naturally not as good as before... It was also from From that time on, average bookings showed a downward trend for the first time.
But in the past month or so, I finally came up with a relatively complete outline of the Goblet of Fire. But the price is that the connection with the previous article is a bit blunt - Avada was directly allowed to stay in the timeline for more than four months, skipping all the original branches in one go. Isn't this stiff?
But this is already the least bad way I can think of to deal with it. If I were to expand on those branches and write about them, it would only be more boring than it is now... In the final analysis, it is still my lack of personal ability.
Fortunately, the final Goblet of Fire chapter was relatively complete, and the previous foreshadowing and hidden lines were basically recycled. The only problem is that the story does not take place in Hogwarts, so a lot of the character creation in the original work is missing. .
All in all, the biggest problem with this book is its poor grasp of narrative rhythm. In the early stage, there was a serious lack of preparation for the characters, world view, and story line. Except for the main line, almost everything was daily life (the key is that I am not very good at writing daily life). In the later stage, I pushed the main line violently, and unfolded more stories through Nobic Ridge University. There was almost no use of the general worldview, and everything was devoted to the intrigue that took place in Durmstrang. There was almost no character development except for Fleur and Krum...
It’s quite humbling. When it was put on the shelf, I said that this book was carefully conceived and would be responsible for readers. But in the end, when I looked back, I found that this book had actually been written from the beginning. The big hidden danger was laid because I was ignorant and frivolous at the time.
Thank you readers for being willing to accompany me, a newbie, to complete this book. I am also sorry that my ability may not have lived up to your expectations.
Wait a few months, let me settle down, summarize all the things I have experienced in the past six months of writing, and repair my shortcomings one by one. The next book will definitely not be like this again.
(I originally wanted to say that I’ll see you next time I read the book, but I really don’t have the courage to do so... Sigh.)
