Chapter Thirty-One: The Banquet for Louis
The registration process went very quickly. Malfoy completed the registration process in less than an hour. He had a table in his hand with the names of all the dueling club members written on it.
After he finished counting, he handed the table to Professor Snape.
Professor Snape came back half an hour after leaving, and Professor Quirrell didn't know where he went.
However, Louis felt that the Duel Club did not seem to have much to do with the presence or absence of Quirrell. His only purpose in coming here might be that Snape asked him to come and have a fight with each other.
Because everything that the club will do has been written on a small wooden board by Professor Snape with his wand.
Dueling Club Rules:
1. Anyone who joins the Duel Club must participate in club activities twice a week.
2. Any duel must be conducted under the supervision of the professor to avoid accidents.
3. No one is allowed to withdraw without permission. If anyone wants to withdraw, please write an application and submit it to the dean of the respective college.
4. Fighting incidents are not allowed in dueling clubs, and violators will be dealt with seriously.
5. No one is allowed to be late or leave early. Violators will be punished.
6. Every Tuesday the Duel Club will conduct an assessment, and the bottom ten people will be assessed to help Filch clean the toilet.
Time: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday every week from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.
Snape placed the small wooden board next to the wall, and then looked at everyone in the field:
"First of all, welcome to the Duel Club. Next, I will teach you three spells. Please practice more when you go back and take the assessment next Tuesday."
"The requirements are not high, as long as you can cast the spell completely. I know that some senior students have already mastered these spells, but I hope you can help your classmates instead of seeing them lose face next Tuesday.
"
"Okay, let's start teaching now. First of all, let me say it again. The three spells I will teach you today are the disarming spell, the confusion spell and the obstacle spell. They are all very simple..."
In the next two hours, Louis suddenly felt like he was attending a cram school. However, this cram school did not bore Louis. Instead, he wanted it to be longer.
Unfortunately, the time spent focusing on studying passed quickly. Two hours of theory and one hour of practice left Louis unfinished.
He really wanted to stay here for a while, after all, Professor Snape didn't say this event was over.
However, today is Sunday and he has to go to Professor McGonagall.
After talking to Hermione, Louis came to Professor Snape: "Professor, I think I may need to leave early."
"Can."
Professor Snape's calm tone surprised Louis. As if he saw his doubts, Professor Snape said one more thing.
"The whole of Hogwarts knows that Minerva accepted you as a disciple. She told me about your study time. At each time, you can decide whether to continue here or go to Minerva's place."
Louis suddenly realized: "Thank you, Professor."
"No need to thank me, I hope you won't disappoint Minerva."
After Snape finished speaking emotionlessly, he ignored him and went to correct the people practicing in the Duel Club.
After getting Snape's consent, Louis left directly. When he was about to go to Professor McGonagall, he suddenly heard a voice speaking loudly.
"Oh! Let's see who it is? It turns out to be Granger. He wanted to sneak away early! What a coward!" said Ron who was lying on the ground. He did not see Louis going to Snape just now.
Just now he was dueling with Seamus, but when he used the disarming spell, the spell hit him with the wand and he was knocked to the ground.
As soon as he looked up, he saw Louis trying to leave. Ron was so excited that he had caught Louis breaking the rules and wanted Professor Snape to punish him severely.
However, when he said this loudly, Louis just paused for a moment and then continued to leave.
And the people around him didn't want to pay attention to him, and he didn't understand why.
Of course, Snape also noticed the movement here. He came to Ron with a gloomy face. Ron immediately got up and wanted to complain:
"Professor, Granger left without permission. I feel..."
"Shut up! Stupid Weasley, use your brain to think about why no one cares about what you said!"
"Maybe there's no time?" Ron replied carefully, but he saw Snape's even more impatient expression.
"I think you really should see a brain doctor and an eye doctor, because Ron Weasley disrupted the order of the dueling club, five points will be deducted from Gryffindor!"
"But professor..."
"Confronting the professor will result in five points deducted from Gryffindor!"
"..." Ron had no choice but to keep his mouth shut, because he now found that all the Gryffindors present looked at him unkindly, including his two brothers.
Seamus happens to be his dueling partner, and he really can't stand it anymore:
"Weasley, I think you should understand the situation. Granger's departure was approved by Professor Snape. So there is no running away as you mentioned."
He patted Ron on the shoulder and went to find another young wizard. Although that person was a Slytherin, it was still better than training with a snitch. At least he didn't have to worry about being snitched.
, and at the same time let go of your hands and feet.
Ron was dumbfounded when he heard this. He looked at Seamus walking away from him and opened his mouth, but he didn't know what to say, so he had to practice the spell alone.
Speaking of which, it seems that because of his magic wand, the training is barely okay, at least he can hit himself.
…
On the other side, when he arrived at Professor McGonagall's office, he was knocked unconscious by a surprise.
"Wait a minute, teacher, you mean you want to hold a banquet for me next weekend?" Louis came back to his senses and said in disbelief.
"Yes, I will invite my friends to come and see that I have such an outstanding disciple."
There was a hint of joy in Professor McGonagall's eyes.
When she thought about what happened recently, she felt proud.
First, he and his sister used the deformation technique to prevent a classmate from being injured.
Later, he used the long sword transformed from transformation to kill the troll that threatened the safety of Hogwarts, and successfully rescued a classmate. He was also talented in transformation, and he worked very hard, valued family ties, was polite, and was not arrogant.
There are so many good qualities in her disciples. If you have such disciples, what more can you ask for!
Such a disciple cannot be found even with a lantern.
As for the previous incident of leaving privately in the team...
Forget it, he is a Gryffindor after all, and if he doesn't break the rules at all, he doesn't look like a Gryffindor at all.
This at least proved that the Sorting Hat was not wrong. If it weren't for this accident, she really felt that Louis and his sister should be two Ravenclaws.
These two are really good at learning.
"Well, I won't teach you anything today, so I just came from the Duel Club, right?" Professor McGonagall thought for a while and asked.
Louis nodded and said: "Yes, and Professor Snape allows me to freely allocate my time on Wednesday and Friday whether to stay there or come over to study."
"Well... then come over on Wednesday, and you can stay at the Duel Club on Friday."
Professor McGonagall said, then seemed to remember something, rubbed his head, and reminded a little tiredly:
"Recently, try to go back to the dormitory after activities are over, and don't wander around the castle or campus."
Louis was keenly aware that the teacher's last words meant something, but he didn't know if his guess was correct, so he was a little confused as to whether he should ask the teacher.
Professor McGonagall noticed Louis' situation and said casually: "If you have anything to say, just say it, don't be coy like a woman."
"Uh..." Since the teacher brought it up himself, it would be rude if he didn't say it again.
Louis expressed his thoughts: "Teacher, does the reminder you just said have anything to do with Professor Snape's founding of the duel club? And does Professor Snape's injury also have something to do with this aspect?
Is there... any danger in Hogwarts recently?"
"You are quite smart."
Professor McGonagall looked at her apprentice with more and more satisfaction. He could guess so many things through such two inconspicuous actions. He was really smart.
Louis chuckled.
"I can't tell you the specific situation, but I can tell you that my reminder does have something to do with the founding of the fighting club.
As for Professor Snape's injury, I'm not particularly sure, but I hope it's not what I thought."
"Is there a threat to Hogwarts? I can tell you clearly that as long as Dumbledore is here, Hogwarts will never be in danger. It's just been a little troublesome recently."
Louis could see that Professor McGonagall's slightly worried expression was obviously not a small trouble like what she said, but the teacher didn't want to say more, and he couldn't ask more questions.
"By the way, study hard in the Duel Club. I heard there are assessments there and there will be rankings?" Professor McGonagall asked again.
"Yes, there is such a thing." Louis replied truthfully.
"At least the top 20. If you rank high, I will give you a reward."
"!"
Louis looked at Professor McGonagall in surprise.
Professor McGonagall looked at him with a smile.
"By the way, don't tell other little wizards what happened just now, unless they guess it themselves."
Lewis blinked: "What about the banquet..."
Professor McGonagall said angrily: "You still want to ask me about this matter? Everyone will know it sooner or later. By the way, remember to take your sister with you."
After saying that, Professor McGonagall sent Louis out.
Lewis left the office and ran directly to the cafeteria. If nothing else happened, it would be lunch time. If he went there, he would be able to meet Hermione.
Then you can share with her about the banquet. This is a very important thing. It was a banquet specially held for him.
It was different from last time. Even though he was accepted as a disciple last time, only the teacher's friends in Hogwarts knew about it.
But now, when the teacher introduces her friends, she is telling all her connections that Louis will be his heir in the future, and he can introduce himself as Professor McGonagall's disciple.
And you can use these connections in advance and then inform Professor McGonagall. This is the benefit of hosting a banquet.
