Hogwarts: Wizards Supreme
Chapter 218 Rendezvous
A black shadow like a starry sky flew forward flexibly and lightly, revealing Brian's figure in mid-air, as if a thick curtain had been pushed aside.
Brian looked at the three figures lying on the ground, his expression unprecedentedly indifferent.
He glanced at the people lying on the ground and murmured: "Krum and Beasley are unconscious. As for Treya... they are dead."
Brian sighed softly and quickly glanced at the scene.
"Krum and Treya were both attacked by surprise? As for Beasley, did someone cast the Cruciatus Curse on him?" With just one glance, Brian roughly knew what happened.
"If you use the Death Curse here, Crouch is not afraid of bringing in Dumbledore in advance?" He glanced at the top of his head that was covered tightly with vines, knowing in his heart that this was probably a specially chosen killing place.
People outside the maze can probably only see the magical flashes that light up from time to time in the maze, and these hidden shortcuts can just block the outside world's sight.
Brian didn't stop here, he just waved his wand, followed the breath of the culprit, and flew towards the fork in the road next to him.
However, at this moment, another green flash lit up not far away, and the cry of surprise stopped abruptly. Next, there were hysterical screams.
"What is it again?" Brian flew towards the source of the sound and saw the scene in the vine corridor in front of him.
Those were the two Beauxbatons warriors, Christie and Cecilia. At this time, Kristy was lying on the ground coldly, her eyes wide open, filled with surprise and sadness.
Cecilia knelt beside the body, covering her eyes with her hands, pulling at her long hair desperately, and screaming in agony.
She suddenly raised her head, revealing her pale cheeks. There were blood marks on her beautiful face. Tears were flowing continuously, but her eyes were so red that she seemed to choose someone to devour.
"It's you! It's all you!" She watched Brian condense his figure, a look of madness and hatred flashed in her eyes, she grabbed the wand thrown on the ground and was about to point it at Brian.
Brian just tapped it with his wand, and Cecilia fainted on the side. Her hand was still clutching the wand so tightly that she almost broke it.
Brian glanced silently, almost understanding what happened.
He waved his wand and checked his surroundings. There was no one around anymore. After this delay, the culprit was gone.
"Then, let me see what he is going to do..." Brian pointed his wand at the girl who fainted on the ground and said "Legilimency".
Cecilia's memory was very confusing. It was obvious that she had just suffered a great mental shock and was already very fragile at this time.
Brian looked at her recent behavior and then flashed back to shortly after meeting him, where Cecilia encountered the familiar figure and was then struck by the Imperius Curse.
Next…
Brian retracted his hand and glanced at the unconscious girl. Her face was still stained with tears, looking fragile and uneasy.
She rejoined her teammates and, under the control of the Imperius Curse, killed Kristy.
Perhaps this huge shock temporarily freed her from the Imperius Curse, or the murderer released his control at this time. Cecilia knew what she had done and collapsed.
Brian raised the corners of his lips coldly, with a chill in his voice: "Barty Crouch Jr., it turns out that this is your purpose..."
He ignored the fainted person, sensed the position of Harry and the two, and flew towards their location at full speed.
The obstacles along the way are nothing to him and can be easily bypassed if he doesn't want to get entangled.
He was getting closer and closer to Harry and Cedric, but a huge shadow appeared in front of him, blocking the road.
That's a sphinx. It has a huge body like a lion, but has the head of a woman. It didn't attack, but stood in front of Brian.
"Please get out of the way, I'm in a hurry." Brian had to make himself stop.
Sphinx looked at him with her long almond-shaped eyes, shook her head slightly, and said in a hoarse and low voice: "No, you must abide by the rules. You are close to your goal, but you must answer my riddle first."
"Sorry, I'm in a hurry." Brian didn't want to waste any more time. He waved his wand and a spell shot through.
"Okay, if you choose to pass the level violently..." Sphinx narrowed his eyes, scattered the spell with his huge paws, shook the hair on his body, and assumed an attack posture.
"Get down!" Brian raised the wand in his hand and made a pressing motion, and the Sphinx fell to the ground involuntarily. It shook its head, looking a little confused.
Next, Brian's spell hit its female face, causing the Sphinx to become completely silent.
"Well... you passed..." it muttered in a dreamy voice, then lay on the ground and fell asleep.
Brian passed the Sphinx, and Harry and the others were in sight.
…
After separating from Brian, Harry and Cedric had a smooth journey.
There were no obstacles for a long way ahead. Such unimpeded traffic made Harry a little panicked. He felt that he must have encountered something.
Cedric was also a little suspicious. He looked around and could only comfort him: "Maybe we were lucky and chose a few roads without obstacles."
Harry nodded and could only believe it. He held his wand flat on his palm and whispered, "Show me the way."
The wand twirled to point toward the hedge to his left, which was due north, and they knew the maze ended in the northwest. The two people looked at each other and turned left at the intersection ahead.
There was finally a test ahead, and it was a huge blast-ended snail. It took the two of them a while to figure it out. The snail's hard and smooth carapace could reflect spells, and Harry's stun spell almost bounced off Cedric, scorching a bunch of his hair.
In the end, the two men worked together to pass the Blast-Ended Skrewt. Thanks to Cedric knocking it off balance, Harry hit it in the fragile belly with a barrier charm, which delayed it for a while.
Along the way, they encountered many tests. There was the Boggart, which turned into a dementor in front of Harry, but Harry thought it was just a trivial matter. There is also a golden mist that tests courage, and a large devil's net.
After solving the Sphinx's riddle, they finally approached the Goblet of Fire. The two looked at each other, both looking very excited.
"We're ahead of Brian." Harry said excitedly. He began to imagine what it would look like when he walked out of the maze holding the Triwizard Cup and greeted everyone cheering.
"Maybe Brian helped us fend off the other warriors." Cedric grinned. There was also hope on his face.
The two people trotted cautiously in the passage, alert to the dangers that might be lurking around them.
"I finally found you." A figure emerged from a fork in the road.
"Brian?" Harry grinned, "Come here, we were talking about you just now."
"You guys gave me a good meal." Harry heard Brian say lazily.
"The Triwizard Cup is right ahead." Cedric pointed to the bright light at the end of the passage ahead, his eyes a little straight.
They looked at each other, rushed toward the light, and gradually saw the stone base at the end of the road, with the wooden goblet on it shining with an alluring luster.
"Be careful!" Harry blurted out as he spotted several dark shadows with sharp eyes.
At his reminder, Cedric hurriedly stopped and rolled around on the ground to escape the sudden attack. And Brian slowed down early.
I saw five or six huge spiders popping up around them. Each of them was as big as a car. They swung their furry, black legs and rushed towards the three people.
"Swoon!" Harry shouted, pointing at a spider. The spell hit the spider's huge body, but it was like a stone thrown at it. The spider twitched and charged at him even more angrily.
"Use the Iron Armor Charm and rush over quickly!" Harry heard Brian shout, "Harry, go get the Triwizard Cup, Cedric and I will block them!"
"Okay!" Harry rushed out before he had time to think.
The three people dashed through the spider's blockage in a thrilling manner, and the light wall of the Iron Armor Curse was crumbling under the attack. Ahead was the Triwizard Cup. From the corner of his eye, Harry saw Brian and Cedric turning around to block the spider swarm. He wasted no time and rushed towards the Triwizard Cup at full speed.
