It was a little after nine in the evening, and Link was in bed discussing food shows with Brooke Shields when her mother, Teri Shields, suddenly came home.
Link had no choice but to abandon his plans to spend the night, put on his pants, and head home, exchanging a greeting with Teri Shields as he left.
He hadn't been home long when there was a knock at the door. It was his neighbor, the Oscar-winning actress Jodie Foster.
"Where have you been? You're just getting back now?"
Jodie Foster, wearing a cotton T-shirt and munching on a green apple, sized him up.
"Out to dinner."
"Hmph, don't lie. I saw you and Brooke Shields go to the building next door. Brooke Shields invited you to her house, obviously wanting to sleep with you. Why didn't you stay there overnight?"
Jodie Foster walked in, her hands in her pockets.
"Brooke Shields invited me to her house for dinner. She's a good cook. I filmed her cooking. Want to see it?"
Link pointed to the handheld camcorder on the table.
Jodie Foster glanced at him, turned on the camcorder, and watched for a few minutes. It was indeed a recording of Brooke Shields cooking. Link's filming skills were excellent, making Brooke Shields look beautiful in the video, and her cooking skills seemed quite good, causing Jodie Foster, who couldn't cook, to secretly pout.
Link handed her a glass of juice, taking the opportunity to retrieve the camcorder. The first half of the recording was of cooking, the second half was of other activities, from the kitchen to the living room. Brooke Shields was more visually appealing than the dishes she made, especially those long legs; he could feast on them for a year.
If he let Jodie Foster keep watching, he might get caught.
"As far as I know, you're a lecherous man. Brooke Shields offered herself to you. Why didn't you take her up on it? Oh, I get it. Is your private life too chaotic, and your body can't handle it? I heard that a man's biggest problem is that his limited stamina can't keep up with his ever-increasing desires. Is that you too?"
Jodie Foster blinked, wearing an expression that said, 'I saw right through you.'
"My body is fine. Tell me, what's on your mind?"
"Haha, don't worry. Just practice more every day, and your body will slowly get better. Keep it up!"
Jodie Foster said with a mischievous smile.
Link leaned back on the sofa, quietly looking at her neck, chest, and legs. Her figure was rather average, on the thin side, but her face was good, and her aura was excellent. Link was considering whether to have a second course.
Jodie Foster sensed a hint of danger in his eyes, suppressed her playful smile, and told him about her plan to film "Hachi: A Dog's Tale," asking if he had acquired the rights.
Link said that the rights were being negotiated and that no other company had noticed the story yet, so acquiring the rights shouldn't be too difficult. He asked her to take some time to write the American version of "Hachi."
Jodie Foster nodded in agreement, but she was worried that her scriptwriting skills were average and that she wouldn't be able to adapt it well, asking him to help guide her.
Link agreed, smiling, "You came to me for help, yet you still dare to mock me?"
"What I said is the truth, isn't it?"
Jodie Foster saw a pile of scripts on the table, picked one up and flipped through it. "What are these?"
"Scripts the company received."
"Can I take a look?"
"Go ahead!"
Link also picked up a script and began to read.
The two of them leaned back on the sofa, each holding a script.
Two cups of coffee on the table emitted fragrant steam.
Dozens of scripts were stacked in the middle.
The two read one script and exchanged it for another, without saying a word.
Around eleven o'clock, Jodie Foster yawned, put down the script, and got up to leave.
Link prepared to see her out.
Jodie Foster suddenly smiled mischievously, "No need to get up. Your body isn't well, rest more."
"My body is fine, I told you."
"Hmph, you men are all stubborn."
Before she could finish speaking, Link pinned her against the wall again, no matter how she struggled and kicked, she couldn't move. Link lowered his head and kissed her earlobe and lips, and Jodie Foster's cheeks flushed instantly.
"Baby, how's my strength?"
Link whispered in her ear with a chuckle.
Jodie Foster pursed her lips, glaring at him fiercely.
"Stamina is a man's basic dignity. Don't use this kind of thing to provoke me next time. If I wanted to violate you, ten of you couldn't stop me."
Link smiled and then let go.
Jodie Foster hurriedly ran out, glaring at him with shame and anger at the door, and left with heavy steps.
The next day was the 66th Academy Awards ceremony. Link received an invitation to attend, but since he didn't have any nominations, he declined the organizers' invitation and watched the televised broadcast at home after work in the afternoon.
The Academy Awards, also known as the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Awards, were established by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 1929. They are the oldest, most authoritative, and most professional film awards in the United States, and also the most influential film awards in the world.
Because the awards have a high level of quality, are highly valuable, and have a large impact, they are also relatively difficult to win.
The Oscar statuette has become the most coveted award for filmmakers around the world.
Link also coveted it, but the media had labeled him a 'bad movie director,' making it difficult to gain the recognition of the Oscar judges in the short term.
This year, Guess Pictures' films only received two nominations at the Academy Awards: "The Wedding Banquet" for Best Foreign Language Film and "Final Destination" for Best Visual Effects.
After more than three hours of the awards ceremony, the Best Foreign Language Film was ultimately won by the Spanish film "Belle Époque," and Best Visual Effects was won by "Jurassic Park."
The other awards were much the same as the Golden Globe Awards. "Schindler's List" became the biggest winner of this year's Oscars, winning 7 out of 12 nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Cinematography.
Tom Hanks won Best Actor for "Philadelphia," and Holly Hunter won Best Actress for "The Piano," and so on.
However, Link wasn't without any gains. During the presentation of the Best Actor award, Tom Hanks went on stage to give his acceptance speech, thanking his high school gay teacher, Rawley Farnsworth, claiming that his performance in "Philadelphia" was inspired and helped by him.
Without error a first a first inside a appearance a in a look look!
This reminded Link of a comedy, "In \u0026 Out."
It told the story of a high school teacher who was about to marry his girlfriend when his student exposed him as gay at the Oscars ceremony, triggering a series of hilarious events. It did well at the box office and even received an Oscar nomination.
"What are you laughing at? Is there anything wrong with what Hanks said?"
Jodie Foster also didn't attend the Oscars. After work in the afternoon, she ran over to his place again to look at scripts, and watched the Oscars ceremony together.
"No, I thought of a good idea that could be made into a movie."
"What idea?"
"A story about a teacher who is suddenly exposed as a gay man."
Link acted on his idea immediately, picking up a pen and manuscript and writing at the table. He spent twenty minutes writing the outline and more than three hours writing the first draft of the script.
While he was writing the script, Jodie Foster didn't leave, sitting across from him reading scripts. When she saw that his cup was empty, she took the initiative to pour him coffee.
When he put down his pen, Jodie immediately pounced on him, picked up his script and flipped through it, her face full of surprise.
"Are you even human?"
"What do you mean?"
"You just listened to Tom Hanks' acceptance speech, and you wrote a script?"
"Don't you think I'm amazing?"
Link rubbed his wrist and smiled.
"No! Not amazing at all."
Jodie Foster glared at him, not happy at all. She had also worked as a screenwriter, but she often wrote for a long time and couldn't write a satisfactory script.
And Link was a womanizer, greedy, and rude, not at all like a talented person, but he heard Tom Hanks' acceptance speech and instantly had an inspiration, writing a highly complete script in the blink of an eye.
This made her feel very unfair.
"Are you going to direct this movie?"
"This is a comedy, and I don't have any plans to film comedies for the time being."
Link said.
Jodie Foster nodded and suddenly said seriously, "I admit that you are a very amazing guy, more amazing than any man I know. If you were more serious about relationships and not so fickle, you would definitely be a perfect man."
"Thank you! It's past ten o'clock. Do you want to sleep here tonight?"
Link asked.
Jodie Foster glared at him angrily. She had just thought that this guy was a perfect man, and one sentence made him terrible.
"No, I said I'm not interested in men, not even you."
Jodie Foster got up and put on her slippers, pointed to a script on the table, "I think the story in this script is not bad, you can take a look."
After seeing Jodie Foster off, Link returned to the sofa and continued to read scripts, also taking a look at the script that Jodie had recommended.
After reading the script, he was very surprised. It was a very familiar story.
