Hollywood starts with a broker

"Aaron, how are you feeling? Being an agent isn't that easy, is it?" Richard Lovett chatted with Aaron Anderson in the hallway outside the audition office.
Aaron smiled. "Once 'Pretty Woman' starts filming, my contribution will be indispensable. It's just a bit of a shame; Nicole was my first client!"
Richard Lovett shrugged. "That's Hollywood. There are a lot of deals. Within the rules, it's about who puts in more effort."
After a while, Aaron saw Nicole Kidman walk out. "Alright, Richard, let's talk again next time."
Richard Lovett nodded. "Have a good day!"

Seeing Nicole Kidman's listless appearance, both Richard Lovett and Aaron Anderson could guess that her audition hadn't gone well.
"Aaron, I think I messed up," Nicole Kidman said, hugging her man. "Al Pacino, who I was acting with, wasn't very satisfied."
"It's okay, you've only just arrived in Hollywood. It's normal to be outcompeted by local American actors," Aaron said, patting her back.
"I'm staying for a film discussion later. Are you staying, or going home first?"
"I want to go back and rest first!"
"Go straight to my place then," Aaron said, handing Nicole the car keys. "Tonight, when I get back..."
"Sigh," Aaron sighed softly as he watched Nicole Kidman leave the studio.
Leaning against the railing, Aaron thought of another actor, Adam Sandler. That kid should be calling me this month to leave ITA.
Two actors, one Nicole Kidman, plus one Adam Sandler, both nobodies in Hollywood.
Two directors, one Steven Soderbergh, who won the Palme d'Or but is clueless about new projects, and the other, Quentin Tarantino, still hanging around in a video store?
Around noon, Aaron went to a nearby fast-food restaurant for a bite and ran into Jennifer Connelly, who had just finished her audition!
Connelly, radiating youthful energy, with a hint of baby fat on her cheeks, long, dark, and lustrous hair, light blue eyes, a pure face paired with a tall, voluptuous figure, sexy yet innocent.
After her stunning appearance in 'Once Upon a Time in America,' she participated in several more films, but they were all about her beauty and didn't amount to much.
However, she managed to get into Yale University and is now transferring to Stanford, a true academic!
"Miss Connelly, good afternoon. I'm Aaron Anderson, an agent from CAA!"
Aaron stepped forward to greet her, handing her a business card.
"Oh, good afternoon," Jennifer Connelly said, taking the card and looking at it. "A very young agent!"
Aaron shrugged. "Is Miss Connelly planning to return to acting?"
"Yes, life at school doesn't seem to be what I want," Jennifer Connelly said. In fact, she had never been very famous, mainly because her appearance in 'Once Upon a Time in America' gave her a lot of attention.
"The role in 'Pretty Woman' requires a more mature actress. Miss Connelly is a bit young now, so it might not be suitable, right?"
Jennifer Connelly nodded. "They did say I was too young and didn't fit the role!"
"Hollywood is fiercely competitive," Aaron Anderson said, looking at her. "I'd like to sign you. I don't have many people on my roster right now. The most famous is probably Steven Soderbergh, the youngest winner of the Cannes Palme d'Or."
Jennifer Connelly's lips twitched. Was he trying to say he didn't have anyone or that he was very impressive?
"My mother is currently handling some of my agency affairs, and I'm still studying. I haven't decided whether or not to leave school yet."
Aaron smiled casually. "No rush. Some things need to be handled by professionals. Just keep my card safe."
"When the time comes, if you have a difficult decision to make, or if you've figured things out, you can call me directly."
"Being able to get into Yale University, I think, you must have a very strong ability to think!"
Jennifer Connelly looked at the young man in front of her and then nodded...
In the evening, at the Disney studio, the executives of 'Pretty Woman' held a meeting.
Aaron also participated in the discussion as a participant.
"For the female lead, let's choose the newcomer Julia Roberts. She's sexy, beautiful, and approachable. Her audition today was also very good!"
Gary Goldstein, the executive producer at Disney, said. Unsurprisingly, he immediately received the approval of director Garry Marshall and another producer, Steven Reuther.
"Sigh," Aaron Anderson, sitting in the back, could only sigh inwardly. You bastards have already decided everything. What do you need me for?
Aaron and the screenwriter J.F. Lawton were probably just there to make up the numbers.
At this time, Steven Reuther looked a bit troubled. "Although Al Pacino helped us with the scenes today, he doesn't seem very interested in the role."
"Perhaps, we should consider contacting Richard Gere."
Whether it was Steven Reuther or Gary Goldstein, they both knew that Al Pacino might choose another project, 'Dick Tracy.'
There is no mistake and one is first and one is internal and one is tolerant and one is looking!
The others didn't have any ideas. The two Disney projects, 'Dick Tracy' and 'Pretty Woman,' were vastly different.
One was a star-studded gangster film adapted from a famous comic book, and the other was just a low-budget romantic comedy. There was no comparison!
Aaron was different. Richard Gere? Could that guy make a comeback?
After the meeting, Aaron specifically went to find Steven Reuther.
"Is something wrong, Aaron?" Steven Reuther frowned, thinking the other party was there to inquire about the female lead?
A newcomer, too presumptuous, right?
Aaron didn't care about the other party's tone. "Doesn't Al Pacino want to play the male lead?"
Oh, not asking about the female lead?
"Yes, you guessed it. The 'Dick Tracy' project has also invited him."
Aaron lit a cigarette. "Whether it's Al Pacino or Richard Gere, they're both people who are about to be forgotten in recent years."
"Al Pacino is different. The 'Godfather' series will always shine brightly. We should still strive to have Al Pacino play the role."
Steven Reuther frowned. "I also hope he'll be the male lead, but, forget it, I'll go talk to his agent!"
Richard Gere, since 'An Officer and a Gentleman' in the early eighties, has been box office poison. He hasn't had any good projects.
Although Al Pacino has been out of the limelight for four years, the upcoming 'Godfather 3' can't do without him. His influence is much greater.
"Can you take me to meet Mr. Al Pacino himself? I want to try to persuade him!"
Aaron's idea was simple. It didn't matter if Nicole Kidman didn't get the female lead, but he couldn't let Richard Gere make a comeback, right?
"You?" Steven Reuther suddenly remembered that this guy had talked to Jeffrey Katzenberg before?
"Okay..."
