HP Approaches the Magic World
Chapter 146 In the cabin
"What's the inconvenience? He can't beat me. Besides, doesn't he still have your magic?"
Joanne didn't feel inconvenienced at all. After all, Jon had just rejected the new residence she was looking for two days ago, and then bought a not-so-large villa near Manchester.
It must be the kind that Joanne herself can't afford.
Joanne couldn't figure out why Jon did this. Of course, it might also be because there were many things between the two that needed to be kept secret, and it was really inconvenient for her to live in the school's staff apartment.
Owls were flying around, and she was not a wizard, so there was no way to deal with the related effects. Living out was indeed a good idea, and she also had a place to create.
But this is all a matter for the future. Now she is only curious about one question.
"Why are you standing here? Can they still escape from the island?"
"Of course not, just watch it."
Jon handed the telescope to Joanne, then pressed the intercom to ask the driver to get closer, then turned off the intercom and explained to Joanne:
"Tomorrow is July 31st. Today is the deadline for Harry to reply to the notice. Someone will definitely come. By the way, after they leave, you can go in and do a profile."
…
Harry felt extremely uncomfortable in the room.
This place is even more frustrating than the cupboard. Because of the storm, the rolling waves outside are being swept by the strong wind and slapping the walls of this small wooden house, and the raging strong wind has also blown away the filthy windows of the house.
The window rattled loudly and felt like it was about to fall down.
Aunt Petunia found some moldy quilts from inside the house and made a bed for Dudley on the sofa in the outhouse.
She and her husband went to sleep on the bumpy and bumpy bed inside; only Harry managed to find the least comfortable piece of floor, huddled up under an extremely thin tattered quilt, and barely managed to get out of bed.
Close your eyes.
The storm outside was getting bigger and bigger. The thunder mixed with Dudley's snoring made him upset. The cold made him shiver and unable to sleep. His stomach also started to churn at this time. He stood up and walked to Dudley's side.
, tried to pull a quilt out of Dudley's body, but failed. He just accidentally looked at the watch Dudley was wearing on his wrist.
The hands on the luminous dial were ticking, and the hour hand was approaching twelve o'clock. In other words, his eleventh birthday would be coming soon.
…
"coming."
Jon patted Joanne on the back and reminded her: "On the road in front of the cabin."
Joanne quickly adjusted the angle of the telescope and looked over. Unfortunately, it was too dark. She didn't have Jon's magic glasses, so it was basically difficult to see who was coming. All she could see was a huge shadow.
"What is this?" she asked in surprise: "Is this a mountain?"
"Hagrid, the hunting ground warden of Hogwarts, is the half-blood giant who you have seen in the information, who took Harry away from the ruins of Potter Manor eleven years ago."
Jon looked at the portrait revealed in the glasses. When Hagrid appeared just now, he didn't see how Hagrid appeared. He only knew that Hagrid was coming when he saw the magical factors dissipating in the air beginning to gather.
It probably wasn't Apparition. Hagrid dropped out of school when he was in third grade. He shouldn't be able to learn such advanced spells. But logically speaking, Hagrid is already over sixty years old. Although he is prohibited from using magic, he can still learn magic.
It's not impossible either.
Oh, the Ministry of Magic has records of Apparition, so it shouldn't be Apparition.
Is that a flying motorcycle?
I didn't hear the sound, Jon thought, it must be some kind of magic that can fly, otherwise there is no way to explain it.
But while he was thinking wildly, Joanne had already put down the telescope and turned back to the house.
Jon felt the barrier suddenly shrinking, raised his hand and glanced at the time. The hands pointed to twelve o'clock, and Hagrid should have started to break down the door.
He waved his wand to disperse the surrounding barriers, turned around and walked into the cabin. At a glance, he saw Joanne sitting at the table, with paper, pen and radio in front of her.
"What are you doing?"
He asked looking at Joanne who was adjusting the radio.
"Monitoring, you don't think I only have one monitor installed, do you?"
Joanne adjusted the radio without raising her head, knowing that the sound of rustling was no longer coming from it, but was replaced by the sound of snoring.
"What did you put the new bug in?"
"It was installed on Mrs. Dursley's clothes this morning." Joanne complained: "It was really difficult. If I hadn't moved very quickly, I wouldn't have been able to install it, and the monitor had to send a signal here first.
Turn on."
Jon ignored the complaint of the investigator lady and sat down to listen to the voice over there.
If you can't watch the live broadcast, it's good to listen to the live broadcast.
…
Harry stood in front of Dudley and watched the hands on his watch jump a few times. When it passed twelve, he said happy birthday to himself and prepared to go back to sleep.
Then as soon as he turned around, he heard a loud noise behind him.
The whole cabin shook because of the loud noise, and Harry stared at the door, as if something was about to break in.
Then there was another banging on the door, and this time everyone in the room finally woke up.
Harry heard Dudley mutter "What's that noise?", and then saw his uncle crawling out of the house holding a gun and pointing the gun at the door.
"Who's out there?"
Mr. Dursley yelled sternly: "I'm warning you, I have a gun!"
It was quiet outside for a while.
Then the door fell off the door frame with a click, creating a smell of fishiness.
The figure behind the door was also exposed, but the person's head was not visible.
But Harry saw it immediately, because the head lowered and squeezed in through the door.
It was a man as tall as a hill, with a thick beard and disheveled hair that almost covered his face. Under the lush hair, a pair of black beetle-like eyes were shining.
The giant finally squeezed into the room, hunched over so that his head just brushed the ceiling.
Then he bent down to pick up the door panel and easily installed the door on the door frame.
With him blocking here, the sound of the storm outside seems to have become smaller.
Harry watched the man turn around with difficulty, and then spoke: "Can you get us a cup of hot tea? It's not easy to go on such a journey..."
His voice was slightly louder than Mr. Dursley and Dudley combined, and when he walked up to the sofa, Dudley was obviously frightened.
