HP Approaches the Magic World
Chapter 154 Gringotts
It was already noon when I woke up the next day.
When Jon woke up, his whole body felt sore, as if he had just had a fight with a boxer yesterday, and his whole body was in bad shape.
Theoretically, there will be no such big side effects of apparation. In other words, this magic has no side effects. After all, it has been protected before entering the space gap, and as long as the magic power is enough, it can appear all over the world.
It's not normal for magic to have such big side effects.
Jon felt that his body was drained of too much magic power in an instant, causing the loss of magic power. This was just like after Rowena drained the magic power, and his whole body suddenly lost strength.
After rolling on the bed for a while, Jon got up, took a shower, and then packed his things.
Of course, he only has a small box.
After packing up, Jon became hungry.
The resort has its own restaurant, which is open to residents like Jon for free. Jon didn't hear anything unusual on the way to the restaurant, and he knew that the death of the dark wizard had not been discovered yet.
After lunch, Jon went back to get his things, then checked out of the room, took a taxi to the train station, and then took the train to London.
To be honest, he didn't plan to go to Gringotts at this time, because he didn't need to calculate the time to know that Gringotts had just experienced a treasury robbery incident, and it must be heavily guarded now.
But what does this have to do with Jon?
How could he, a young wizard with a good moral character and a pure family background, go and rob a bank when he had nothing to do?
Moreover, it is really inconvenient to go to Iceland with a bunch of things. What if you are targeted by bad guys?
Jon has always been a man of action. Although others think he is thoughtful, he himself does not think so.
He just uses the time others waste in action to think and uses the time others sleep to study.
Now he has better conditions than many people and works harder than many people, so why can't he be more successful than many people?
No one’s success comes from strong winds.
This time Jon took the express train to London, so it didn't take long to get there. There was still a long way to go from the train station to the Leaky Cauldron, so he didn't rush there, but went to have dinner nearby first.
Old rules, McDonald's.
After sitting in McDonald's for a while, until it got dark, Jon put on a hoodie and walked into the Leaky Cauldron.
After all, this was his first time here. The last time he picked up antiques from Gringotts, he was busy. He asked his father and aunt to handle the matter, and sent the items to the auction house as soon as he came out.
This bar is actually not as small as described in the original book, but it is almost as dirty.
At a glance, Jon saw several old women sitting in the corner of the house with their cats, drinking wine from small glasses. One of them was smoking a long pipe, which filled the room with a somewhat choking smell of smoke——
Of course, it's not just the old lady smoking alone.
A wizard wearing a top hat was sitting at the counter chatting with the bar owner who had almost all his hair taken off. His expression seemed like he was talking about something important.
No one paid attention to Jon's existence. After all, as the only entrance to Diagon Alley under the normal route, a large number of strange faces come and go here every day.
Not to mention a kid like Jon who can tell at a glance that he is still very young.
None of the guests in the bar paid Jon any attention. They just thought that the young man wearing glasses was a senior Hogwarts student who came to Diagon Alley to buy textbooks - after all, Jon is now tall.
It’s about the same as a fourth or fifth grader—students like that happen every day.
Even the owner of the bar didn't pay any attention to Jon, and he probably could tell that Jon wouldn't stay here for long.
Jon enjoyed this feeling of being ignored very much. He slowed down slightly and listened to the guests in the bar talking.
The bar was filled with tension and excitement.
Jon listened briefly. Most of the guests were discussing Harry Potter, but when discussing the Boy Who Lived, he had to discuss the mysterious man who left a psychological shadow on countless wizards.
, coupled with the fact that Gringotts was broken into two days ago, although nothing was stolen, it still made people panic.
Who knows when the bandit broke into Gringotts, and whether he stopped at the Leaky Cauldron?
No one would feel at ease thinking that they might pass by such a dangerous person.
Jon continued to walk forward, scanning his surroundings, but did not see the figure of Professor Quirrell.
He was probably hiding somewhere to heal himself.
Jon thought to himself, after all, Gringotts is not that easy to break into.
He walked across the bar and came to the small walled patio. There was nothing here except a trash can and some weeds.
Very good, almost the same as what I knew before.
Jon pulled out his wand, raised his head, and began to count the wall tiles on top of the trash can.
"Count three pieces upward - count two pieces horizontally -"
He will never forget the formula. In fact, even without the formula, he can still figure out which brick has the problem.
After all, the color of that brick is different from others.
He tapped the wall three times with the tip of his wand.
Immediately afterwards, the knocked brick shook and began to move.
A small hole appeared in the middle, and the hole became bigger and bigger. Soon, a wide archway appeared in front of Jon, and inside was a winding cobblestone street with no end in sight.
Jon raised his legs and stepped in. As he moved forward, there was a sound behind him, which should be the sound of the cave entrance turning into a brick wall again.
Jon walked briskly down the street. The place was as lively as ever. He quickly passed a familiar store, the one owned by Mrs. Smith's friend.
The shopkeeper's wife was greeting customers at the door, and when she saw Jon, she recognized him immediately.
There was no other way, so Jon had no choice but to greet the witch with a smile. The aunt spoke briefly to her for a while, and then excused herself to leave due to something else.
He doesn't even know their names!
But soon, he came to a snow-white building that stood high above the surrounding shops. Next to the shiny bronze door, stood a figure wearing a scarlet uniform with gold. He was a man about bigger than Jon.
The elf, who was two heads short, had a dark face and a polite smile on his face. He nodded slightly towards Jon who was walking over carrying a box.
Gringotts has arrived.
