HP Approaches the Magic World
The second white chapter twenty-four halloween
The Halloween party started as scheduled.
Jon walked into the restaurant and shrugged his shoulders imperceptibly when he saw the colorful Halloween decorations.
Professor Quirrell is not here. He must have gone to give the troll a pass.
Countless bats were flying on the walls and ceiling, and there were also many low dark clouds hovering above the dining table, causing the candle flames in the pumpkin's belly to flicker.
After Jon sat down, the delicacies suddenly appeared on the golden plate, just like the banquet at the beginning of school and the Halloween banquet at the same time last year.
There's nothing new either.
Many senior students present were obviously absent-minded. Apart from eating, it seemed that only the junior students and some ghosts were celebrating this festival.
No matter what happens in the eyes of others, Jon has something on his mind, and he feels that everyone has something on his mind as well.
So everyone seems to think that he has a lot of things on his mind.
Not far from where Jon was sitting, there were Harry Potter and his good brother, Ron Weasley.
The only girl in the trio was not present, but judging from the way Harry and Ron were talking and laughing, they didn't care about Hermione's absence.
When Professor Quirrell rushed into the dining room, Jon was boredly picking at the beef on the plate next to Stephen. The three roommates beside him seemed to be talking and laughing, but their eyes glanced around from time to time, obviously.
It was because he was wary of the "accident" that Jon said.
Of course, Professor Quirrell was what Jon said was an accident.
The professor's big scarf was worn crookedly on his head at the moment, his face was full of horror, and everyone was staring at him - most of the students were because of accidents, but Stephen and the others had "expected" it, and now
Just wanted to see what was going on.
Everyone saw Professor Quirrell walking to Professor Dumbledore's chair, leaning on the table, and gasping: "The troll - in the underground classroom - thought you should know."
After saying that, he fell to the floor and passed out.
As soon as these words came out, the restaurant suddenly became a mess.
Professor Dumbledore had to use his wand to make several piercing fireworks explosions to calm the rioting students.
"Prefect," he said in a low voice, "take the students from your college to the dormitories immediately!"
The prefects of each college immediately took action, shouting for the freshmen to assemble and comforting the students.
Jon raised his head and exchanged a look with Dumbledore, who was standing on the teacher's seat, and both sides showed understanding - of course, Dumbledore's expression was still blocked by his beard.
Under the hint of Jon's eyes, Stephen clapped his hands, and the second grade students around him immediately dispersed.
In the same way, Snape also left the teacher's seat in a hurry and did not know where he went.
"Telling our people to stay safe."
When passing by Stephen, Jon said in an almost inaudible voice.
Stephen didn't respond, just followed the crowd and walked outside.
…
Harry followed the Gryffindor troop towards the dormitory, but he had many doubts in his mind.
"How could the troll get in?"
Harry asked Ron as they walked up the stairs.
"Don't ask me, the trolls must be incredibly stupid." Ron said, "Maybe Peeves put it in to add some fun to Halloween."
They met a group of strange people on the road. These people were rushing in different directions. Even Harry didn't see the school emblem clearly until they inexplicably passed a group of Hufflepuff students who obviously shouldn't be here.
, Harry suddenly remembered something.
"I just remembered—Hermione."
Harry grabbed Ron's arm and said solemnly.
"What's wrong with her?"
"She doesn't know about the trolls yet."
Ron bit his lip and started to look confused.
The two of them did not notice that two of the Hufflepuff students beside them exchanged glances with each other.
Ron and Harry quickly decided to go find Hermione. They hid themselves in the crowd of Hufflepuffs, walked in the other direction and quietly left the group.
The two Hufflepuff "recorders" behind them did not choose to follow them. Instead, they stood there and looked at them, then turned around and walked towards the main force of their own college.
It was useless to follow them, they were only second-year students, and they couldn't do much even if they really encountered a troll.
Besides, this is not something they should worry about. Among the rules they receive training, one is to prioritize their own safety.
This point was brought up by Jon.
After all, in the Hogwarts castle, Harry Potter is already protected in every possible way. There is no need to waste students from your own college to protect him additionally.
Moreover, with the way Harry Potter and his two good friends behave, if there is any problem, it is easy to involve the students who protect them.
But which little wizard’s life is not life?
Dumbledore didn't care about the cost, but Jon still did.
At least where Jon can do it, if he can, he should protect these students.
Apart from anything else, this is all the living power he has in his hands now. If one person is missing, he is really missing, and he has no ability to replenish it in time.
Harry and the others quietly slipped through the empty side corridor and hurried to the women's room.
As soon as they turned the corner, they heard rapid footsteps behind them.
Ron quickly pulled Harry and hid behind a large stone sculpture of a griffon.
They looked over from behind the stone sculpture, only to find that the man was Snape.
The latter passed through the corridor and disappeared from their sight.
With full of doubts in their hearts, they followed Snape's retreating footsteps and quietly walked forward along another corridor, trying not to make any noise.
Not far behind them, Jon's figure came out of the darkness.
Ron and Harry obviously went downstairs. If he remembered correctly, the troll should be in the women's toilet on the first floor now.
Hermione Granger should also be in the women's bathroom. If the plot is according to the plot conceived by ordinary people, this is a good time for the hero to save the beauty.
However, the idea of a hero rescuing a beautiful woman is not attractive to Jon at all. Compared with the traditional British, his aesthetics are more attractive to girls from the East unless they are good to a certain extent.
Hermione may be very good-looking in the future, but being an 11-year-old girl will always make Jon feel awkward.
Compared to these, Jon wanted to go upstairs to see what was going on with Snape.
