HP Approaches the Magic World

Chapter 42 Thanks for Christmas

The Hufflepuff Society for Magical Research is off to a very good start.

Jon sat on his seat and looked at Professor Sprout standing on the podium. He suddenly felt that this scene was like giving a report on some magical achievement.

Jon had attended many academic lectures in the past, and it was always like now, sitting down and looking at the people giving lectures on the podium.

Professor Sprout has the demeanor of a great magician. She usually teaches everyone in the greenhouse. Standing on the podium, she also made no secret of her preference for Hufflepuff students, and even told the audience very clearly

Hufflepuff students - as long as they perform well enough, she will not be stingy about giving points to her house.

This made the students who participated in the Magic Research Society very excited. Professor Sprout gave them the illusion that they were a certain scholar, so each of them tried to show a serious expression - as if they were attending

United Nations Youth Conference.

Among them, Stephen and Scully, who were sitting next to Jon, were the funniest. Fallen had at least watched the news on TV, so it wasn't inappropriate to imitate the postures of those politicians.

This large classroom immediately became the public study room of Hufflepuff College. Professor Sprout cast a large temperature control magic in this classroom, making the temperature of the study room as warm as a greenhouse.

Just outside here is the Hufflepuff common room, so students don't have to worry.

Almost all Hufflepuff students have joined this club, especially the senior students represented by the sixth and seventh grade students are the most active - they really want to win a House Cup before graduation.

The lower grade students were not far behind. The advanced magic displayed by the upper grade students in the study room made them very interested in magic.

However, there are not many students who usually appear in the study room. After all, clubs are not courses, nor are clubs that require fixed time activities. Clubs are relatively more mobile.

Except for a large meeting every Saturday night where everyone will present their new discoveries or some fantastic ideas, everyone is free the rest of the time.

Jon and Stephen always do their homework in the study room, where they can ask questions from other grades at any time. Everyone consciously maintains the habit of not making loud noises and not disturbing each other.

With Jon's support, Stephen also showed everyone the improved fluorescent spell at the Saturday meeting before Christmas. After this low-level spell was improved, its effect was not enhanced, but it was more suitable for lower grade students to use.

.

Professor Sprout was very happy with Stephen, the first student to make an innovation. After signaling Stephen to teach everyone this improved spell, she gave Hufflepuff fifteen points, five points for the spell, and ten points.

To Stephen for his innovative spirit.

This made the students very excited.

As Christmas approaches, everyone is eagerly looking forward to the holidays.

Although there was a roaring fire in the Hufflepuff common room, the drafty corridors were bitingly cold, and the classroom windows rattled in the biting wind.

Christmas is on Tuesday, so there are still classes on Monday.

The last class on Monday was Snape's Potions class. This was really not good news. Professor Snape's class was held in the underground classroom. The low temperature caused a cloud of white mist to form in front of them as soon as they took a breath, so they had to get as close as possible.

Their steaming cauldron.

Fortunately, Professor Snape's expressionless face finally became a little gentler on Christmas Eve. Jon even saw a rare smile from this professor. He found that Professor Snape actually looked pretty when he smiled.

It's just that the time he laughed was too short, making Jon think he was dazzled.

As the last Potions class ends, the Christmas holidays begin.

Early the next morning, Jon and his three roommates took a carriage to the station. Bella, whom she hadn't seen for a long time, finally remembered her good brother during the holiday and insisted on sitting in a compartment with the four little boys.

Inside, there was a little first-year Ravenclaw girl included as a gift.

Marietta Acmo, the whistleblower in Jon's memory.

At this time, this little girl had not yet become the witch who later broke her vows. She looked a little shy, but she was still a very beautiful girl.

Stephen was the most outgoing among the four, and he chatted with Bella in a few words. Flan and Scully talked about it one by one, and Marietta occasionally shyly interjected, Joe

En also enjoys leisure.

His small suitcase contained portraits and magic circle materials, so he had to be careful lest a parent of a student discover the unusual magic fluctuations in his suitcase at the station.

Stealing things from Hogwarts seems to be a serious crime.

In the afternoon, the train finally stopped at King's Cross Station.

The students, who had changed into casual clothes, were preparing to leave platform nine and three-quarters. Fortunately, many students chose to stay in school during the holidays, otherwise there would have been even more people here.

Small groups of people passed through the wall quietly, and Jon and the others blended in with the crowd without attracting anyone's attention. When they reached the entrance of the station, the six of them separated and went to find their parents.

"Didn't uncle come?"

Bella carried the box and stood at the station door with Jon, looking for traces of Mr. Smith.

"I told him he could be a little later. He had a class today, and to compensate us, he decided to treat us to McDonald's."

Jon raised the envelope in his hand, which contained several pounds.

"Oh? What a surprise that I can't go back immediately."

Although she said that, there was no surprise in Bella's voice. Jon even heard a little smile: "Let's wait inside McDonald's. It's really cold outside."

Mr. Smith gave Jon enough money, and while waiting to pick up the meal, Jon ran to the nearby bookstore and bought two medieval literature selections.

"Why did you buy this?"

Bella flipped through the book while drinking Coke, and then put the book back in Jon's hand: "Are you going to be a reporter for the Daily Prophet?"

After hearing the reporter, Jon thought about the image of Rita Skeeter in his memory and shook his head decisively.

He has no interest in Western journalists at all. He is a magician, not a mage.

Especially when there is that old lady in the UK.

Just as he was about to speak, he heard his father's voice coming from the door.

"Hi, my dear son, Merry Christmas."
