HP Approaches the Magic World
Chapter 721 Christmas
Hagrid lived up to expectations and brought in a group of Thestrals.
Although it was a bit strange to say the word "live up to expectations" in this situation, Hermione couldn't think of the right words for a while. He stretched out a hand and hid it behind his back, and gently tapped his fingertips on the top of the robe, in the pocket inside the robe.
Here, her magic power was outputting almost at full strength, revealing the situation she was facing at this moment.
At times like this she needs some guidance.
But she still maintained her composure on the surface. At least when Hagrid asked questions, she was able to raise her hand to answer the questions with ease.
Then she felt the vibration of the notebook, and with the bodies of Harry and Ron blocking it, she quickly took out the notebook and took a look at the response on it.
Jon's response was very simple, only a few words.
"Just wait and see the changes? Whose changes are we watching at this time?"
She was about to write a response to Jon, but then she heard a cough.
"Cough, cough."
Professor Umbridge is here.
She stood a few feet away from Hermione, still wearing a green hat and cloak, holding a writing pad.
Hagrid, who had never heard Umbridge's fake cough, looked at the Thestral next to him a little worriedly, apparently thinking it was the sound it made.
"Cough, cough."
"Oh, Hello!"
Hagrid smiled and discovered the source of the strange noise.
"Did you get the note I sent to your cabin this morning?"
Umbridge still spoke as she did when she spoke to Hagrid last time, speaking slowly and loudly, as if the other person was a foreigner and mentally retarded.
"Tell me I want to come to your class."
"Oh, got it," Hagrid said cheerfully, "I'm glad you found the place! Look - I don't know - can you see it? We're talking about Thestrals today -"
"I'm sorry," Professor Umbridge said loudly, cupping her hands by her ears and frowning, "What did you say?"
Hagrid looked a little confused.
Hermione and the others were not confused at all. The students present all showed that they were very familiar with Umbridge's appearance. She always looked like this when she wanted to make things difficult for others.
Hermione had tears of anger in her eyes - actually she was anxious, because Umbridge was obviously walking towards this direction, and she couldn't put the notebook back quickly.
"Dominatrix, evil dominatrix!"
She whispered, watching Umbridge walk towards Pansy Parkinson, "I know what you're going to do, you ugly, perverted, vicious—"
And everything Jon took out was very reliable, and while feeling Hermione's emotional changes, the notebook seemed to have never appeared before, melting in the air? Only Hermione felt it when she grabbed it.
The feel reminds me that this notebook still exists.
Inspire magic permanently etched on the cover of a notebook? The cover of this notebook is made of the fur of an invisible beast.
It's just that the old witch who made Hermione nervous didn't come to them. Instead, she falsely distorted the facts and walked out of the group of students with a proud smile.
"That evil, hypocritical, perverted ugly monster!"
Half an hour later, Hermione, who had sorted out her emotions, said angrily. They walked back to the castle along the path they had made in the snow.
"Do you see what she's trying to do? It's her half-human and half-animal thing again - she wants to describe Hagrid as a mentally retarded troll just because his mother is a giant? Isn't that fair? In fact, the lesson
Not a bad one - I mean? What if it's a Blast-Ended Skrewt again? But the Thestrals are pretty good - honestly, for Hagrid, they're pretty good!"
"Umbridge said they were in danger."
"Huh? Like Hagrid said, they can look after themselves."
Hermione said impatiently, "I don't think a teacher like Grapeland would teach this before exams, but they are really interesting, aren't they? Someone saw it? Someone didn't! I wish I could see it."
"Really?" Harry asked calmly.
Hermione looked very frightened all of a sudden. Half of this fear came from her disguise? The other half was from her true feelings. After all, she had been covering herself up under the appearance of nothingness recently, and her words were a little too deliberate. At that moment just now
, she thought she had almost been discovered by Harry.
"Oh, Harry, I'm sorry - I certainly didn't wish that - that was a stupid thing to say."
"It's okay," Harry said quickly, not really angry at first, "don't worry."
"I'm surprised so many people can see it," said Ron. "There are three in the class..."
"Yes, Weasley, we are wondering too."
said a sinister voice.
Because the snow was so deep, they didn't hear Malfoy, and Crabbe and Goyle were walking behind them.
"If you had seen someone take their last breath, would you have seen the Quaffle better?"
He, Crabbe, and Goyle laughed loudly, squeezed past, and walked toward the castle, singing "Weasley is our king."
Ron's ears were red.
"Ignore them, ignore them."
Hermione hurriedly advised, she took out her wand and used a spell to generate heat, melting the untrodden snow to create a path leading to the greenhouse.
As time goes by slowly, winter comes again.
December brings more snow and an avalanche of homework for fifth graders. As Christmas approaches, Ron and Hermione's prefect jobs become increasingly heavy.
Recently, Harry could always hear Ron complaining.
Because they are responsible for supervising the decoration of the castle ("You hang up the ribbons, and Peeves grabs the other end and strangles you to death." Ron said), and they have to watch the first and second years who stay indoors during the break because of the cold and rain.
students ("They are so thick-skinned, we were definitely not that bold in first grade," Ron added), and had to take turns patrolling the corridors with Argus Filch, because Filch suspected that a fight at the festival might cause a fight.
Increased ("That guy has shit in his head." Ron was still saying angrily).
Hermione was too busy knitting elf hats, and was very anxious because she only had three left.
"Those poor elves I haven't freed yet have to stay here for Christmas because they don't have enough hats!"
This was probably the only thing Hermione cared about besides the mission, but no one told her that those things were actually taken by Dobby himself, not because other elves needed them.
——Because Harry is the only one who knows about this matter, and Harry doesn't want to tell these things. His mind is now devoted to writing a paper for the History of Magic class, and this is the first time since he went to school.
Would love to leave Hogwarts during the holidays.
