HP Approaches the Magic World
Chapter 752 Harry's Compromise
The scene seemed to freeze in an instant.
Harry, Ginny, Neville, and every Death Eater paid no attention to each other, but stared at the top of the glass jar.
A brain jumped out of the green liquid, like a jumping fish: it seemed to hover in mid-air for a while, and then flew towards Ron, spinning silk as it flew, as if there was activity flying out of it.
The vivid tape unfolded in circles like a roll of film.
"Hahaha, Harry, look -"
Ron said while watching the brain spit out the gaudy brains, "Harry, come here and touch it, it must be weird-"
"Ron, no!"
Harry didn't know what would happen if Ron touched those thought tentacles trailing at the back of his brain, but he was sure it wouldn't be a good thing.
He rushed forward, but Ron had already reached out and grabbed the brain with both hands.
As soon as these tentacles touched Ron's skin, they immediately began to wrap around his arm like a rope.
"Harry, look what's going on - no, no - I don't like this - stop - stop -"
But the thin straps were already wrapped around Ron's chest, and he was desperately tearing at the brain that was tightly wrapped around his body like an octopus.
"Split into pieces!"
Harry shouted, hoping to cut off the tentacles before Ron's eyes were entangled, but they did not break.
Ron fell down and was still writhing and trying to break free.
"Harry, he'll be suffocated to death!"
Ginny screamed, unable to move due to the injury to her ankle - a red light shot from a Death Eater's wand, hitting Ginny right in the face.
She fell to the side and lay there unconscious.
"Collapse!"
Neville shouted loudly, spinning his body and waving Hermione's wand at the approaching Death Eaters, "Stupefied! Stunned!"
But nothing works.
A Death Eater fired a stun spell at Neville, but missed by a few inches. Now only Harry and Neville were left to deal with five Death Eaters.
Several arrow-like silver lights fired by two of the Death Eaters did not hit them, but left several dents on the wall behind them.
Harry ran away quickly, with Bellatrix chasing after him.
Harry held the prophecy ball high above his head and ran towards the other end of the room at full speed, thinking only of drawing these Death Eaters away from his companions.
This trick seemed to work. They ran after him, knocking tables and chairs away along the way, but they did not dare to cast spells on him for fear of damaging the prophecy ball. Only the door through which the Death Eaters broke in was still open.
So he rushed over, secretly praying that Neville would stay with Ron and find a way to free him. He ran a few steps in the new room and suddenly felt that the floor had disappeared.
——He fell down the steep stone steps, bounced up on each step, and the final impact knocked him out of breath.
He lay flat on his back in a stone pit, with a stone arch erected on the platform.
The whole room echoed with the laughter of the Death Eaters. Harry looked up and saw that the five Death Eaters in the Brain Hall were walking down the steps and approaching him step by step. At the same time, more Death Eaters came from other doors.
It emerged and started jumping off the stone benches towards him.
His legs were shaking so much that he could barely support his body, but he still stood up.
Unexpectedly, the prophecy ball was still in his left hand, intact, and the wand was tightly held in his right hand.
As he stepped back, he glanced around, trying to bring all the Death Eaters into his sight.
His legs hit something hard behind him, which meant that he had retreated to the platform with the arch, so he climbed onto the platform.
The Death Eaters stopped and stared at him.
Dolokhov had already released the binding spell all over his body and was staring at him sideways, pointing his wand at his face.
"Potter, you're done,"
Lucius said slowly and pulled off his mask, "Now give me the prophecy ball like a good boy."
"Let - let them go, and I'll give it to you!"
"You have no bargaining power, Potter."
Lucius said, his pale face flushed with joy: "Look, there are ten of us and you are only one.
Didn't Dumbledore teach you how to count?"
"He's not alone!" a voice shouted behind them, "He also has me!"
Harry's heart sank as Neville climbed down the stone bench towards them, still holding Hermione's wand firmly in his trembling hand.
"Neville, don't—go back to Ron—"
"Collapse!"
Neville shouted again as he pointed his wand at each of the Death Eaters in turn, "Stunning! Stunning -"
One of the tallest and burliest Death Eaters grabbed Neville from behind and pressed his hands tightly to his sides. Neville struggled and kicked him; some of the Death Eaters laughed.
"He's Longbottom, isn't he?"
Lucius said mockingly, "Well, your grandma is used to dedicating family members to our cause, and your death will not surprise her."
"Longbottom?"
Bellatrix repeated, a very evil smile flashed on her haggard face.
"That's great. I had the pleasure of meeting your parents, little one."
"I broke your old bastard!" Neville struggled so hard that the Death Eater hugging him shouted: "Knock him out!"
"No, no, no."
Bellatrix said, glancing at Harry and then at Neville, looking excited.
"No, let's see how long Longbottom can last before he collapses like his parents, unless Potter is willing to hand over the Prophecy Ball to us."
"You can't give them too much!"
Neville yelled, and Bellatrix gradually approached him and the Death Eater holding him with her wand raised. He kicked and kicked like crazy, twisting his body violently.
"Can't give it to them, Harry!"
Bellatrix raised her wand.
"Heart-breaking and bone-cutting!"
Neville screamed and curled his legs up to his chest, so that the Death Eater who was grabbing him immediately became hanging in the air and hugging him.
The Death Eaters threw Neville to the ground, where he twitched and screamed in pain.
"This is just to give you a little taste!"
Bellatrix said, raising her wand, and Neville stopped screaming and lay sobbing at her feet.
She turned around and looked up at Harry.
"Okay, Potter, either give us the prophecy ball, or watch your little friend die in pain!"
Harry didn't have to think anymore, he had no choice.
The prophecy ball was still in his hand, warmed by his body.
He handed it over.
